Stayed with friends for a weekend trip. The staff was very friendly. Owners were very active in the care of this KOA. We brought 2 non RV/camping friends and they were impressed with the cleanliness of the entire facility. Quiet hours will be enforced (politely) at a reasonable 11pm. I would definitely come back with my family.

We had a lovely time. The campground was very clean and staff was friendly. Movie night was really nice. Camp store has limited merchandise and food.

a bit of noise from a barking dog, some rude campers, the highway, and kids. Other than that, the restrooms were clean, the owners were so nice, and the water, electricity and tent space were good. We'd definitely go here again.

What a wonderful stay. It's so peaceful and quiet. I guess we are finally free of the all night party people who think that rules don't pertain to them. Or they think that they should be treated differently... especially government people who talk the police into not charging them because they would get in trouble at work. The location and setting of the campground is wonderful, quiet, and convenient. There are not enough showers or restrooms for the number of occupants, which results in long wait times at many times during the day. Also, the bathhouses are very outdated and not well kept. The new owner could also learn a thing or two about good customer service. Overall, it was a good stay, but I will not be back.

Mattress was the worst I've slept on in a KOA - too soft - maybe needs to be replaced Very crowded It would have been so much better if cabin had a toilet and sink

It was our very first stay at this site in a tent with two kids and a dog. We loved it! Very well run campground with lots of fun for children. Bring kids' bikes and popcorn for movies. Bathroom floors could be attended a little bit more often, and the fishing pond seemed to have no fish. Otherwise, we loved it and planning to come next year.

We like your campground very much. We've stayed there many times in the past 10 years, but my ONLY complaint is the cost. Your prices for a camp site rival those in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, as well as many other popular destinations. With high prices for diesel, we are seriously contemplating selling our 5th wheel and driving our Prius and staying in motels in the future.

We had a wonderful stay. The common areas were very clean and there were many things to do. The staff was very friendly. The cost for visitors, however, is ridiculous. Not all visitors are going to to visit just to use the pool. I understand the security implications. My parents live 1/2 hour away and wanted to have burgers for dinner and visit for a couple hours. That would have cost them $21!

We've stayed at the Erie KOA several times over the years, and we love it!! It's a clean, nicely laid out campground with friendly staff and friendly campers! We have no complaints whatsoever! Keep up the great work, Erie KOA!! Rick & Tammy Abel

One of the best campgrounds that we have visited. The staff and management were excellent and very friendly; actually stopping to ask if we were enjoying our visit. The grounds were very well maintained with many extras to make our stay extremely comfortable. We have booked another stay for this fall, and will visit again next year. The new owners are doing it right.

We really enjoyed our stay at this KOA. My husband and I generally do not like to stay at KOAs due to general site overcrowding. We stayed at a 2 room camping cabin and were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed it. Our biggest complaint-the fire rings are not located in places that are easy to sit around.

Bathrooms were clean- sites are very close- if you are with family and friends it’s good- if not it’s annoying- street noise is irritating at night- dog park needs to be bigger- if you pay for the # of people you have, it should not matter if you throw up another tent on your site without having to pay extra, but seemed to be an issue with this KOA.

New owner Jamie was great,people should be more compassionate in these hard times. We have been coming to this koa for 2 decades since I was little and now bringing our kids here. We rent the cabins, they were very clean, nice new mattresses. Sharon does go around at night with a flash light which is a little odd. They use to ride around on the golf cart to keep ppl quiet that was better.

We loved our campsite, was camping with family. The grandkids fished all weekend, swam and rode bikes. Staff was friendly. Campground is nice and clean.

Friendly staff. We stayed in a cabin. Cabin floor was dirty. Queen bed was very soft which for me does not work. Needs to be firmer. Especially when you are crawling over another person in bed to go to the bathroom. Other than that would recommend the cabin.

So, the proximity to the road does not provide you with the "camping" feel, the sites seemed a little close together and the fire pit setup was a little awkward. We did enjoy all the amenities and activities.

My daughter and grandchildren stayed with me. Very child and family friendly park. Clean and quiet with many amenities for the children. I like that they had strict rules about noise and quiet hours.

While I do know the new owners are trying, I miss the previous owners. The trailer bathroom near the tent campers are not being cleaned nearly as often. There is also now an employee who seems to hide behind your own vehicle to scold you for whispering the moment quiet hours begin. My family has gone there for 35 years, and I hope to continue to take my children, so hopefully things change a bit.

Bathrooms and Camping Cabin were clean and had all the basics we needed. Loved the movie night, especially since it rained and our outdoor plans changed for the day. Another great stay at Erie KOA!

Back again. We can't seem to stay away long. This is a family campground. It's not party central. If you want to party all night, find another campground. We love the quiet nights. If you believe you shouldn't have to follow rules with a quiet time of 11 to 8 am.: Then you won't be bothered when I get up at 5 am, turn on my music, test my generator and have the kids screaming and yelling.

The place was beautiful and clean however the owners were awful!!! Terribly rude to my whole family. I called the main KOA headquarters and put in a formal complaint. Many others apparently did the same.

Our family loves this campground! Very family friendly! New owners are very nice and always working to make the campground an enjoyable place for all. And it's just a short drive to presque isle, the zoo and many other thing in Erie.

Just finished our 4th and unfortunately last trip for the '21 season. We had so much fun this summer at the McKean PA KOA!! We tent camped with amenities. This campground is family friendly with a heated pool, playground, arcade and other amenities for kids. We love the catch and release pond. There's some big ones in there, my husband has caught them. We really enjoyed ourselves everytime we stayed. (even when it rained) The staff were All Always Awesome!! They Always treated us Wonderfully!! The bathrooms were kept clean.The owner even gave us a specific site because of a medical condition I have. (Thank you Jamie!! :) All of our trips have been just what I needed after losing my Dad a few months ago. If you camp at KOA's we suggest signing up for the KOA Rewards program. It saves you money and you get to stay for free at a KOA one designated weekend a year. If you're planning a trip to Erie we Highly recommend the McKean, PA KOA!! The campground sits right off of I79 and beautiful Presque Isle is just a short drive away! We're planning to purchase a pop-up this off season and our first trip with it will be to the McKean. **UPDATE October 2021 We got our "new pup" and stayed in McKean for a long Halloween theme weekend. It was wonderful of the owners to plan such fun activities for the kiddos. I really enjoyed decorating and handing out candy!*** I also just want to say that we Never heard anyone around us ever complain about any of the staff any of the 5 times we stayed there! We also never saw or heard any type of confrontation between staff and guests anywhere in the campground. All we saw were Very Hard working owners & staff who just wanted to keep everyone happy & safe and ensure everyone had a good time!
