This was our 3rd stay at the McKean PA KOA this summer!! Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate this trip but we still had a nice time. The staff are absolutely wonderful and accommodated us with a request I made about where in the campground we wanted to stay. We tent camp and my only complaint is that the bathrooms were closed at different times. But overall I give our stay a 9.5.

First time staying at a KOA. The owner was so nice letting us have two tents on our site for the Grandchildren. Even though it rained all weekend, the kids had so much to do at the campground. They had a blast. We will be back!!

Everyone was very friendly & helpful. Staff was able to accommodate a request I made. The pool was wonderful. The grounds were well kept & the showers & bathrooms were very clean & well stocked. I will definitely stay again. Thank you for making our stay a pleasant experience.

The staff was experienced, very helpful and nice. The place was very well groomed and clean. This KOA is under new ownership and he has a lot to learn but he is trying. Hopefully he will let his experienced staff guide him until he get into the swing of campground ownership.

A nice, well maintained campground with various amenities. There is always something to do. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We will be back!

I totally don’t like bathrooms and toilets. We have experience with chipper camps and it was much cleaner. I also don’t like little picnic tables and small camp place to stay. I’m not sure I would like to come back.

We were very impressed by the Erie KOA. It was extremely clean and neat. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. We tent camped beside the lake and loved our site. Prices for drinks and snacks/ice cream in the store were very reasonable. The laundry area was clean and we enjoyed the arcade games & air hockey in the rec room (which were also decently priced).

My first stay was phenomenal on 6/25 clean well maintained campground with all the basic amenities, so great infact I reserved the same site for 6/28 when we came back into town. Sadly ended up breaking down right outside of town so we were not able to stay the night. Unfortunately was not able to get a refund on the campsite even though we didn't stay the night. We had a great time! The only downfall was the cleanliness of the restrooms. At one point we had to use the bathroom, and there was human feces on the floor. Obviously we know that isn’t the camps fault, however it was pretty disgusting considering the bathrooms weren’t kept up to par as well as the one located at the store. Also! Sue was incredible and we love her so much!

Stayed 6 nights. Loved it. Staff was wonderful. Great amenities. We had rowdy neighbors the last night - stay was otherwise perfect.

We had a great time. I was impressed with the activities that was scheduled by the staff. The only negative - we were not allowed to set up a small pup tent to store our dry food in. I think an additional small 1-2 person tent should be allowed for storage.

The new owner/ manager James was not accommodating at all. Very rude before we even paid for our site telling us only 1 tent ( while other sites had more than one). Also, told us we were being to loud just sitting by the fire on a Thursday evening. Very unhappy with our stay. Will not be back!!!

We stayed fathers day weekend and it was a nice place to stay. New owners took over and r trying to make it a good place to stay.

It was great we go there fathers day weekend every year there kid friendly and try to help with anything u need they even delivered our fire wood to our camp sites.

We had to cut our stay short because they would not allow two tents on our campsite (I didn't see anything about this rule when booking online). The owner and a second employee were rude to us, making the situation very stressful, especially because we had to find a different place to stay on short notice. The campground was very nice, although the bathroom smelled pretty bad. Never going back.

It was a very unpleasant and uncomfortable stay. We were approached everyday multiple times a day My parents came to visit and we were unaware that we had to registering. The manager came toour site and accused us of lying to him we offered to pay and make it right and he was extremely rude and condescending. Management is an issue as the location is great but after a bad experience won't be back

Very clean quiet campground. We had some problems with the electrical the first night and a young gentleman stopped and helped out. Very polite and efficient. Will definitely be back.

we had a wonderful stay me and my family really loved the camp. The only issue we had was our loud neighbors. but the manager was really nice and took care of everything for us and we can’t wait to go back again.

Had a very enjoyable stay while tent camping with my 3 year old. She loved the bounce pad and playground! She also caught her very first fish out of the pond, a memory I will carry forever! The staff was also very attentive. A seasonal campsite across the street from us had a very bright light that shined directly on our site. After bringing this to their attention, they addressed the issue.

This was our first KOA and we were amazed the beautiful sites and how friendly the hosts were! We arrived late but they were very accommodating and helped us find our site. Would definitely come again!!

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, wanted to ensure we had a good time and also accommodated us with parking our boat. Also the bathrooms were very clean! Our tent site was very nice and we had a lot of fun fishing their catch and release pond. My husband caught a really big large mouth bass there!!! We have reservations there for June and again in August.

Our family loves this campground! Very family friendly! New owners are very nice and always working to make the campground an enjoyable place for all. And it's just a short drive to presque isle, the zoo and many other thing in Erie.

Just finished our 4th and unfortunately last trip for the '21 season. We had so much fun this summer at the McKean PA KOA!! We tent camped with amenities. This campground is family friendly with a heated pool, playground, arcade and other amenities for kids. We love the catch and release pond. There's some big ones in there, my husband has caught them. We really enjoyed ourselves everytime we stayed. (even when it rained) The staff were All Always Awesome!! They Always treated us Wonderfully!! The bathrooms were kept clean.The owner even gave us a specific site because of a medical condition I have. (Thank you Jamie!! :) All of our trips have been just what I needed after losing my Dad a few months ago. If you camp at KOA's we suggest signing up for the KOA Rewards program. It saves you money and you get to stay for free at a KOA one designated weekend a year. If you're planning a trip to Erie we Highly recommend the McKean, PA KOA!! The campground sits right off of I79 and beautiful Presque Isle is just a short drive away! We're planning to purchase a pop-up this off season and our first trip with it will be to the McKean. **UPDATE October 2021 We got our "new pup" and stayed in McKean for a long Halloween theme weekend. It was wonderful of the owners to plan such fun activities for the kiddos. I really enjoyed decorating and handing out candy!*** I also just want to say that we Never heard anyone around us ever complain about any of the staff any of the 5 times we stayed there! We also never saw or heard any type of confrontation between staff and guests anywhere in the campground. All we saw were Very Hard working owners & staff who just wanted to keep everyone happy & safe and ensure everyone had a good time!
