Sewer Connection.

Sewer adapters must be used when connecting to our sewer system. Never stick your hose directly into a sewer connection, be sure to utilize a threaded elbow or rubber sewer gasket. Hoses without these connectors may go in too far and block the flow in the sewer lines causing a messy backup. Unsealed connections also allow sewer gasses and odors to escape.

Quiet Time

Camping at an RV park is a shared community experience—please be a good neighbor! Avoid walking through other occupied campsites, keep music and TV volumes low, teach children proper camping etiquette, and respect quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM.

PETS

Camp pets are welcome! Please keep them on a leash and under your supervision anywhere in the park. Enjoy our two dog parks—perfect for pups who love to run—and take a stroll along our beautiful walking trail with your four-legged friends.

CHILDREN

Small camper children should always have a parent with them. Our playground is open for their pleasure 7:30am to dark.

GUESTS

Please tell us in the office if and when you are expecting guests. Camper guests should stop by the office to let us know they have arrived and all guests need to leave the property by 9:00pm.

RECHARGE YOUR ELECTRIC CAR

We are sorry we can no longer provide charging time to our electric car guests at any cost.

EXTRA VEHICLES

Please declare extra vehicles at check-in. We can accommodate most extra vehicles if we are made aware of them. That includes cars in-tow, moving vans, and cars not in-tow.

Meet Your Hosts

Kevin, James & Kristan Settlemire

“Home is where you park it — happiness is where you camp it.”

Unique volcanic views in a peaceful desert setting are what you will find when visiting The Settlemire's campground. The decision to purchase their KOA campground came in September 2022 as the couple decided to add a Second campground location to their KOA Family. We enjoy camping and the outdoors but most importantly we LOVE meeting people from all different places. We feel honored that we get to be a small part in helping to create long lasting family memories.

James & Kristan enjoy the location of the campground and encourage getting outside to see the local attractions. Paired with a friendly atmosphere, they love to share opportunities for fun and adventure with their campers. Their customer service allows the best camping in the area and the country. Our KOA has proudly received KOA's prestigious Founders Award for both 2022 and 2023, and was recognized for delivering World-Class Customer Service in 2024.
We are beyond grateful for our amazing campers and dedicated staff — we couldn't have achieved these milestones without you!

The Grants area in northwestern New Mexico is one of the best recreational areas in this part of the country, There is more here than most people know. In one day, campers can hike among ancient lava flow trails and then relax in the comfort of the cool evening back at the KOA. We have a unique high desert setting.
