nice 4 day stay

The paperwork was in the box at the registration office. When booked, I specified a 30' trailer, the lot we were assigned would barely accomodate the truck and the trailer, and had to angle both to fit on the site so I wouldn't have to disconnect and not be in the road. If you don't pay the extra $20 to pick the site you want, you get the dregs. The stay itself was good, great neighbors.

We had one of the deluxe patio sites during out stay. It was fantastic. The pool was very nice and well kept. We loved the activities occurring during our stay as well. My only concern as we walked thru the campground was how tight the sites are to get into. We have a 36ft bumper pull and there are not many sites I would feel confident getting into. Hopefully we can pick our site next time too.

The sites are tight, not well maintained and only a few are big rig compatiable.

We are new campers. Our visit was awesome to Harpers Ferry/Civil War Battlefields KOA. We were not pleased with our very small site, but definitely will be back and request a different location. The grounds are beautiful and staff very friendly. Thank you

RV section VERY tight. Several 40+ ft Class A's were there but certain sites require more patience. Watched 2 RV mishaps,1: large Class A hitting a utility pole 2: a TT pulling into a site hit a parked Jeep. We backed out of our pull-thru site, slow, careful to get out. Camps are tight, few feet b/w. Lots of fees, no more free pancakes but overall not that bad. Patio space if we ever come back

Not a relaxing weekend at all. Way too tight for the size campers that in those sites.We were in site 28 which shouldn't be a site at all since many campers couldnt make the turn.Several times we had to pull in our slide so ppl could get by. Someone ran into a picnic table/another hit another vehicle trying to get into their sites.I mentioned it to someone at Store.They didn't seem to concerned.

We stay here often, nice campground Close to harpers ferry and charles town. A bit tight for large rv's but still doable. We wanted to extend our stay but the girl working sep 11th at 8 pm couldnt be bothered with us. I called first thing in the morning, left a message and got a return call about 10:30 that our site was indeed available but by that time we were already gone. Very disappointed.

Staff friendly. Easy check in and good hook ups. Very convenient to Harper's Ferry Military Park. However, sites wa-a-a-y too close together and roads not easy for large RV to maneuver.

Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful weekend. Was within walking distance (little bit of a hike) to get bus to go into Harpers Ferry if you have a National park pass or you can purchase one. Harpers Ferry was beautiful but very steep hills to walk up to the top, but worth it. Campground was nice and did have activities which were nice. We all had a great time!

I did not like that the grass was tall and not mowed before we arrived. I paid for a site and I expect it to be well groomed before I arrive. The most important part of the stay is the site you are on. The campground was nice other than the same problem of needing to be mowed. The staff was friendly. Camp store ws fully stocked and awesome. The movie theater is a nice touch. Pool was great!

We love this campground although it needs work. Employees are always friendly and helpful. New pool liners were great looking. New pancake house building is coming along.The roads and the sites could sure use upgrading. Mostly just gravel would be a huge improvement to the sites. The roads need to be paved.

Prices keep going up and with the resort fees The pancakes should be part of that..not charging..pricing lots of young families out of camping here..

Wine tasting was very limited and then did not get $3 off on purchase as for coupon and no receipt to prove it- also happened to the people next to us. Camp store was great and did appreciate coupon there. Was very quiet in our section and nice battlefield tour.

Wonderful pool. Horrible customer service. No hot water at shower. I told the front desk. They never offered any apology, just said "I will tell maintenance." Park not well maintained. Picnic tables rotting, electric poles in bad need of paint. Grass needed mowing.

We really enjoyed our stay. In fact, we booked for next year. The campground was crowded due to the holiday but the staff was all very friendly. The only sort of negative was the position of the electrical box on our site #31 and surrounding sites. It was hard to reach the hookups causing our friends to purchase longer wires. Additionally a neighboring site ran over the box leaving.

We had a great Labor Day weekend at this KOA. The grounds are very clean and the staff were helpful. There are many activities for children and the band on Saturday night was great also. We look forward to camping here again.

Harpers Ferry KOA is very clean, spacious campsites with lots of activities onsite. We loved that is was within walking distance to the National Park and enjoyed taking the trail to the lower town where we were able to grab a bite to eat and look around the shops. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait for our next visit!

My husband and I and several friends have been to Harpers Ferry six times or more. One of the couples we travel with visit the site two times per year. I have experienced only friendly, positive attitudes from the staff and guest. Love it! Wayne and Diane Farrar

Always appreciate the opportunity to park my camper near my tent family and friends. Love the woods. Nice level site. Great place for the grand kids to play and socialize.

Overall we enjoyed the stay. The staff is very friendly, however the full hookup sight RV sight we were placed in was not even close to being level.

The grounds are well kept and even on a busy day it’s pleasant and the staff great to work with. The facilities are clean and the amenities are just right. Thanks for a positive experience

Wonderful campground, staff and other campers very friendly, according to the website we got the last site available, right next to the playground which was an adventure at times, and there was a new building being finished right next to our site so there was some noise from that, but we had a wonderful time and had no issues on our stay.

Nice campground, but not worth the “resort fee”! And, though I told the reservation person that I have a “certified” service dog (I have no depth perception), I was charged the $10 pet fee. Don’t care about the money, just them not paying attention to detail.

The KOA is very clean and well kept. Some sites are very close to each other with no space like in site #53 were we stayed. At this site and some others in that area a concrete patio has been added which are very nice but the cut out for the fire pit is located very badly, like right in the middle of our awning. Also the WiFi is almost none existent, the cost is $5.00 a day if you choose to pay.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

WIFI is free, there is not an option to pay for WIFI.

Site 175 was a little tricky to get situated, but is one of the larger sites. Lots of activities, and right next to the National Park, would definitely recommend

Fantastic campground with lots of amenities including pool, mini golf, huge laundry facilities, and more. Very close to Harpers Ferry National Historic park. Great location to explore the area.

The views and history was very enjoyable. Only disappointment I had was people allowing their dogs to be off leash and run freely . It was an almost issue with my dog who had a leash.

Tented here for just over a week. I enjoyed every part of my stay. Facilities had everything I needed and the check-in/store staff was very friendly and helpful. Fyi, the tent pads are nice but will fit just your tent. If you have say an awning or an additional tent, the sites can be hit or miss to accommodate that. I got lucky and fit all my gear on my site. Would definitely come back.
