Campground Reviews

Very nice clean campground. Beautiful area! The campground was tucked back off of I81 with some windy roads. Far enough off the interstate that there was no road noise. Harrisonburg was not too far if you need a trip to the store or dinner out.

One of my favorite KOAs. Super friendly staff, sparkling clean restrooms, neat grounds. Dog friendly.

We arrived late and stayed only one night so did not use many of the amenities. The site was quite short but nice. We weren't uncomfortably close to others. It was a great stop on our journey.

Great Kampground and extremely nice people.

Gates on the very small dog park do not latch. There is no map nor instructions for the disc golf. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Fire pits are made from stones and are very large. Roads well maintained. Sites were level. Desirable proximity to 81 and area activities.

The campground was immaculately kept. The manager husband and wife were beyond helpful and nice. The hiking trail was amazing. Not enough space to describe the wonderful experience it gave my family with my children and dog.

Quiet and secluded with plenty of tree shade. Loved the hiking trail. Check in was very easy after hours. My only “complaint” was that the blue bath towels in L2 were probably brand new and left lint all over while drying off from a shower.

This trip was 10/10. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds were easy to maneuver with a large rig. Even though they were doing construction it was not an inconvenience to the campers.

This was our 4th time in the past 2 years. We love this KOA. They have been upgrading and are in the process of adding more camping sites. Lots of room for big rigs. Very friendly and helpful staff. So many things to do in the area, like us, you'll keep coming back for more.

The sites were wonderful. Everything you could possibly ask for in a camping experience.

Lots of trees. Sites at KOAs are always close together, but the trees really help. Not a "party" campground at all, noise is at a minimum. The hosts are absolutely some of the nicest people we have encountered while camping!

Great visit! Loved the location; all of the main systems worked perfectly (water, electrical, cable)....quiet place when we were there, and loved the trash pick up. Definitely will stay again -- I did wish the price was lower given that none of the other amenities were open.....pool, pizza...but it is a great spot, clean, and everyone their was helpful and friendly.

We stayed March 11, 12 and 13, 2022 and really enjoyed ourselves. It's a great campground with a VERY friendly office staff. We look forward to our return visit in the near future.

The campground is very nice. We had a problem with the water, and Tim "The Tool Man" corrected the problem quickly. Will be back soon!

All of the laundry & bathroom facilities at the campground were pristinely clean!! The staff was wonderful and friendly!

Very nice park. A little tight for big rigs but manageable. Sites aren’t really level, but again it’s manageable. Staff was very pleasant at check in. About 3 miles from 81 over winding road. Very very quiet, which is always nice after a day on the road. Had free range chickens and ducks which was cute. Nice play area for kids.

Beautiful cozy cabin with a great patio and fire pit! Close to shopping and attractions yet secluded and quiet. All staff were friendly and helpful. Too cold/snowy to enjoy the campgrounds amenities but loved the hiking trail! Would definitely return!

Great accomedations, and communication. Help was fantastic, had a glitch with black tank and it was quickly resolved with a gentleman on site. I’m new to RV life and he was quite helpful. Certainly staying here again in the future. Bull L in CT

The staff made it what it was. First girls trip without my husband and I had some issues getting a stuck hitch lock undone. The staff went above and beyond to help me out. My girls and friends are so thankful for the great helpful staff. The office staff was wonderful and kind to us during our interactions in the store. Thank you all, and especially Tim for your help. Look forward to coming back!

It's a great stop over on our way home. Always friendly. Have never been there when it was warm but I'm sure it would be great in summer.

No water pressure All the cable stations were very snowy and very poor sound

We pulled in after hours and left early the next day. However, the bathrooms were immaculate.

About the friendliest KOA staff I have ever encountered. Originally had a tent site but upgraded to a Kamper Kabin due to weather. Spotlessly clean and fairly private. Had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back/recommend to others. Thanks!

One night stay in our rv. Nice clean showers and bathrooms. Amenities seem really nice but it was too cold for us to use anything at this time.

We stopped at this campground for one night. We arrived late (9pm) due to traffic. We easily found our reservation on the board just inside the office door. It was on the bulletin board. Clear directions to our site. It had been snowing but we found our space had been plowed. Easily connected water and electric. We did not hook up our sewer and opted for the bathrooms instead. They were super clean, plenty of hot water and the room was warm. Unfortunately we never got to meet anyone since we arrived late and left early. I did get a chance to walk around the park with our dog. There were a few trailers on-site, a shed with chickens, cabins, rec area, disc golf etc. They even deliver pizza to your site during the regular season. We have decided we will visit this campground during a better season. You can tell the owners care a great deal about this campground

The staff was AMAZING and super friendly!! We went the week after Christmas and stayed after new years and we mostly had the place to ourselves with a handful of others campers. We started in site 15 but ended up moving to 56 which was super secluded facing the woods which is exactly what we were looking for. The sites that are crossed out are under construction starting this upcoming week. Bathroom are super clean along with the whole campground. They have a pond that you can fish out of and rent poles from the front desk, dog run/fenced in play area, family games available under pavilion and much more. Even one of the sites had a dog outdoor kennel between site 43 and 34. Campground is about 20-30 mins from skyline drive (you pay $30 for a weekly pass) where we hiked majority of the time. We also visited the Luray Caverns on a rainy day which was pretty cool. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will be back again if ever in the area!
