This Field of Honor is a Memorial as a lasting tribute to those men and women who have served our country in war and peace. Those who survived were forever changed. Those who died were forever young in their loved one's memories. Using a pentagon theme, the Field of Honor is built around a 32-foot flag pole which is illuminated from dusk to dawn. It honors veterans of World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. It is located next to the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Elroy-Sparta State Trail is the property of the State of Wisconsin and is part of its State Trails System. The trail is 32 miles in length on the abandoned Chicago and North Western Railroad bed and passes through three rock tunnels. The lake was the site of the former Jackson County Iron Mine quarry and is now the deepest inland lake in the State of Wisconsin with a maximum depth of 355 feet. Remnants of the mining operation still remain visible underwater and divers often find artifacts. Massive boulders and sheer cliff faces create challenging and interesting features for the more experienced recreational diver. Novice divers will enjoy the gradually descending roadways, which are found throughout the quarry and may encounter several groups of fish cribs. Beach lovers will enjoy the sand beach area and the clear water for swimming. Anglers can fish for popular game fish as walleye, crappies and bass. There are a number of antique shops within three miles of the campground. Several are located in Hixton, with others located in Alma Center.
Our campground is very beautiful and is noted for its peacefulness and quiet restful atmosphere. It has spacious sites nice grassy areas. All of our sites are furnished with a fire ring and picnic table.We also have four premium RV sites that have cement patios with a table with chairs and solar umbrella, a bench, and a built in fire ring.
We have several mowed hiking trails as well that allow you to explore the wooded area of our campground.

Rent canoes, kayaks, or tubes and enjoy a day on the river. There are three different lengths of floats in canoes and kayaks - 2.5 miles, 10.5 miles, and 14.5 miles. The tube float is 2.5 miles.

Soldiers Walk Memorial Park, located in Arcadia, WI, is 54 acre Memorial Park DEDICATED To Our Veterans & All Of Those That Have Served ?Past - Present - Future.
In 1989, the town purchased 54 acres of land for a park, which now includes an aquatic center, tennis and volleyball courts, picnic areas, a large wooden playground, an outdoor amphitheater, a pavilion for indoor gatherings, and a facility with equipment for cooking 1800 pieces of barbecued chicken at the same time! The centerpiece of Memorial Park is its tribute to American statesmen and members of the armed forces who have served our country in times of war. It is the largest Memorial Park in the U.S., outside of Washington D.C.

The building, originally constructed in 1915 as a Carnegie Library, served the community as the Black River Falls Public Library until 1995. Today, it stands proudly on the Wisconsin and National Registers of Historic Places and is home to the Jackson County Historical Society Museum. Explore two floors of immersive exhibits that bring Jackson County's past to life. Visitors can experience a recreated Clay Post Office, a fully outfitted early dental office, and a fascinating collection of historical military artifacts. Dive into the region's rich logging history, or explore cultural displays featuring Native American beadwork, leather items, arrowheads, and ancient stone tools. Don't miss the compelling Charles Van Schaick photography collection and the Wisconsin Death Trip exhibit area.
