First time at a KOA … I think they are too expensive. I usually pick other camp grounds or do boon Docking. The sites are very close together also. But, This campground was conveniently located to the Petrified forest, so we stayed there.

Our stay was very pleasant and relaxing. We were on our way home to California from PA and VA and needed a couple days to stop. Park organized, clean, and staff very nice. Camp spots had plenty of room between sights. Restroom and showers were clean and good hot water for showers. When we travel back east again will make this KOA our stop. Thanks for a great stay.

Dog owners beware. Neither dog walk area surface is maintained by park management and both were unusable during our stay. My two labs will not do their there business on the parking lot gravel, which was the only option, so made for a very difficult stay. I expect much more from a KOA.

The guy who does the propane is very pleasant and upbeat whereas the rest of staff that I met were sour faced and gave the impression that they were not happy to be there themselves. Propane guy further impressed me when I told him that I found a homeless guy sleeping on the laundry room floor. He was kind and compassionate in getting the guy to leave. Needs recycle bins and dog stations.

Bathrooms were horrible. They were old and tiles were cracking. One toilet was hopelessly backed up and urinal was out of service. Showers were hot but not much else. They touted their WiFi, but we could never connect to it. Overall, complex did not feel very comfortable or hospitable. We have visited other campgrounds in the area that were much nicer and I will not be returning there.

The issue i have with this koa location has to do with the spacing of the rv sites. Our 24 foot class c rv was so tight in its site. On the passenger side the slide out from the rv next to us was about two feet from the picnic table. On the drivers side if i were to open our drivers door it would hit the picnic table of our neighbors on the drivers side. Will not stay here in the future.

Campground is too close to highway traffic/noise. In our spot, there were two water filled puddles (caused by tires). We do like the picnic table/area and the hook ups. My wife approached the staff to get some information about the area. She was not impressed with the response. Perhaps they were too busy to be nice and courteous.

Laundry room was awful. Two of five washers out of order, third one not taking coins. Two of six dryers out of order, other four won't heat and need 3-4 rounds to dry. Six people trying to use them. One tiny table for folding, one plastic chair, no coin changer. I give the laundry room an F. Come on, folks. Campers need to do laundry.

In general, the cabin is a nice facility. Our bathroom door lock (the wooden bar) was broken such that my wife couldn't even open it. I hurt my hand trying to use it. This one small (and easily fixable) issue knocked the stay down from 5-stars.

Booked for trip home to Scottsdale, stayed an extra night because of high winds and snow. Staff very accommodating.

Very clean. Dark at night so we were able to sleep good. Very quiet at night. ALL staff was very nice. We loved it!!! We came in from California.

This was an overnight just to get some rest. This KOA needs some TLC. There are old signs that needed to come down 10 plus years ago. Their sign that is visable during the day is not lighted and is torn. Hookups were adequate and the site easily accommodated our 43' motorhome. Overall, we would stay again for an overnight as it was easy to get on and off interstate.

Paid for a premium spot. Bathroom water was lukewarm at best..bathroom dirty..broken tile..hand dryers dont work..just not what you would expect for the exorbanant price of Koa..less on learned. Not what they used to be. Disappointing.

Campgrounds were not great- area had just rained recently during stay so site was fairly flooded (a lot more than reasonable). Campground sites were very exposed (a lot of traffic and lights at night). Bathrooms could be cleaner.

This is our second stay at the Holbrook KOA - both times on our return trip from Albuquerque to Phoenix after the Balloon Festival. This KOA is the perfect location for an overnight stop or longer if you are going to Petrified Forest or other local sights. Very convenient to I 40, level sites with several having extra amenities like fenced pet areas and pergolas. Staff are super nice and helpful.

Arrived around 11am, no one was at office to check us in. Sign on door said back at 2 on. Knowing our site number we set up and had to leave for balloon fiesta. When we got back later that night we found the gate locked. Having not received a code we could not get in and phone numbers on web sites were not answered. Long wait, not happy, dog Walker came to the rescue

The wash rooms were horrid. The WIFI non-existent. However, some of the campsites themself were quite nice but expensive.

Neat place with a museum inside. Everything is extremely breakable and beautiful. There are these cute little picture opportunities outside too😉
