OUR MISSION STATEMENT

At Homer Baycrest KOA, our mission is to provide a safe, relaxing, and fun retreat from the demands of everyday life. Our friendly and dedicated staff works hard to keep the park clean, peaceful, and inviting so every guest can enjoy a wonderful stay. We take pride in making our guests happy while sharing the breathtaking beauty of Kachemak Bay.

CHECK IN & OUT; OFFICE HOURS

Check-IN is any time after NOON (12 pm). We need at least an hour between to ensure the site is clean for guests. Those who do not vacate their site by 11am may be charged for a second night. Check-OUT is 11am.
Office hours vary depending on the time of year. Shoulder season hours (May & September) are 11AM to 7PM and may change. Regular summer months (June, July, August) hours are 7 am to 10 pm. We adjust office hours depending on occupancy.

Early Check-out Policy

Due to our short season and high volume of reservations, early check-outs are not eligible for refunds after check-in.

QUIET HOURS

10PM to 7AM. We want all our guests to be well rested for their upcoming adventures! For that to happen they will need good sleep. We ask that all guests take all noise into their RVs during our quiet hours. If we can hear you inside your RV, you are too loud. Please don't leave trucks running and be aware of noise when arriving/setting up.  Excessive noise at any time is not welcome.

PETS IN THE PARK

Baycrest KOA  love to see our guests traveling with pets.  Our K-9 park is located near the entrance and provides a fenced-in area for your pet to run around off-leash. We have a few pet rules in place for the general comfort and safety of all our guests:
  • Pets must be kept contained or on a leash at all times.
  • When in the K-9 park, please be with your pet the entire time
  • Pets must be kept quiet. We love having a quiet, peaceful atmosphere at Baycrest KOA for our guests. If you are planning to leave your dog in your RV all day, they must stay quiet. If they can't stay quiet, we will ask you to take your dog with you on your adventures or to a puppy daycare in town.
  • Pet waste must be picked up immediately. We provide animal waste bags in the park office if you do not have any of your own.
  • Loose dogs are not tolerated and there is a $20.00 cleanup fee when the site is checked (after checkout) that will be added to your bill if there is excessive waste left in the site.

FIRES

We have one designated fire ring per site. Please do not attempt to move the fire rings. Fires must be extinguished before going to bed.

GENERATORS

In our full hook-up sites, generators are not allowed. In our dry camp sites with no electric hook ups, we allow generators from 8AM-8PM.

SPEED LIMIT

At Baycrest KOA we often have families with children playing in the park so we ask that you limit your speed to 5 MPH to ensure safety of other guests.

TRASH

We provide multiple trash disposal areas. The trash barrels throughout the park are emptied twice daily, and a full size dumpster is near the entrance of the park.
We ask that all guests do their part by cleaning up after themselves.
NO fish carcasses in our trash bins! Fish waste will attract bears and birds.

SHOWERS, BATHROOMS, AND LAUNDRY

Homer Baycrest KOA has 24 hour bathroom, laundry, and shower facilities. The entrance door requires a pass code, given at check in.

Children & teenagers must be supervised in the Bathhouse

Additional Cars and Boat/Utility Trailer Fees

Each site is allowed one additional vehicle, and it must fit in the site without crowing neighboring sites.  Vehicles MUST have a parking pass on the mirror or dash to identify they belong in the park, please ask for an additional one if needed.
Additional cars are charged $5 per night, and parked in a site designated by the staff.

Boat Trailers/Boats:  Boats and trailers are allowed in designated parking areas. The boat or utility trailer must be registered with the park, located in the parking lot, and pay a $25 per night fee. Guests may not sleep/camp in a boat, and they may not be towed through the park. While we try to have safe spaces, ensure your belongings are secured on your boat/trailer.

On holidays, parking is limited when we are full.  Please do not bring more than 1 vehicle with your camper during peak season (mid-June to mid-Aug), or you may rent an additional site.

SMOKING/VAPING

Baycrest KOA is a smoke-free community. Smoking/vaping is only allowed at your site and not in or around entrances of any public areas.

WIFI

We have complimentary WIFI for guests. Internet is for email, web browsing, and social media. We ask that you refrain from streaming movies and gaming for long periods.

Tents Sizes and Space

Many people are enjoying tent camping and the sizes of the tents are getting bigger every year.  When booking on-line:
  1. Our three tent sites are for up to a 4-man tent with no more than 4 people (adults & children) in each site
  2. Our dry sites can also be used as tent sites, and can fit up to a 6-man tent. A small family of 4-6 fits well in these sites, depending on the ages of the kids.
  3. Our two premium family tent sites can hold a larger tent. These are next to the playground.  If you have a tent that is larger than a 6-man tent, you must call to confirm the size and how many people. Depending on the ages, additional charges will be applied when the party exceeds 4 individuals.
  4. We are willing to work with larger tent groups, but additional fees may apply since more people are using the facilities. Please call and give an accurate number of people (adults & children) along with the size and number of tents so we can place you in the park in a safe space for your group and the people around you.
  5. A 2-man tent is allowed behind an RV if there is room in the site. It must be approved, along with number of people in the tent. Additional tent add-ons must stay within the boundaries of the site.
  6. We reserve the right to charge for unclaimed guests staying in the park.

TV STATIONS AND SATELLITE

Cable TV  is unavailable at our out of town location. However, satellite TV is available if you have a pop-up dish. The Dome dishes are unable to connect at our location.

If you need something mailed to the park (FED EX or UPS) please make sure the office knows when it is scheduled to arrive, the size of the package, the name address to, and your site number.
