The campsite enjoys fantastic views of the bay and is more peaceful compared to the spit. The staff were professional and friendly. The campsite is partly under construction, but the work does not affect existing sites. We were disappointed by the shower cubicles, most of which don’t lock and are in poor condition, and the fact that after hours, the shower block has only one toilet - inadequate.

Beautiful view of the inlet and mountains out our back window. Usually only motorhomes get the really nice view out their windows, but we have a fifth wheel, so backing in gave us the view with the hook-ups on the correct side. Also, the resident Eagle was a delight, landing several times each day in a tree across from the office.

Not bad place, but lacks amenities that I expect out of a KOA. Could use a better play area for the children and many of the laundry machines seemed to be out of order. The dog park gate did not prevent small dogs from getting out. Camping spots were sufficient and had a beautiful view of the bay. Nice quiet campground.

Great views, nice facility. In turning in our RV rental, I recommended this KOA to an outgoing party headed to Homer. There are cabs in Homer, so we just went down to the Spit that way, although there is parking there.

Stayed in the yurt. Beautiful view and felt like the luxury of a hotel room (included a heater and outlets). Definitely glamping not camping. Requires a drive into town so be prepared for trips to and from Homer if you stay here. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

We initially drove past the KOA campground headed to our usual spot in Homer but when we saw the views at the KOA we turned around to check it out. We signed up for 2 nights and enjoyed it so much we stayed 2 more. The views are absolutely amazing and we enjoyed being out of the busyness of the Spit. Campground was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return!!

The most view of any CAMPGROUND EVER. A week was not nearly long enough. We were in Site 43 in a 40 ft. Motorhome.....nose in. I would stay here again....as soon as possible.

Family trip. Loved the view and layout. Plenty of room to hang out at the fire ring and picnic. If they would trim the undergrowth a bit on the bluff, we could get a better view of the bay, though. Lovely setting! Loved the dog play area, too.

The view is great, obviously, but our site was uneven and the utilities should be on the side in the standard place, not in the back (front, depending) In addition, the sites are located too close to each other. The water pressure was poor and you should institute re-cycling for those of us who care about the environment. Bright light: the gal who greeted us in the office was friendly and helpful.

We stayed here last year too. Anytime we come to Homer this will be where we stay.

Showers never cleaned during our four day stay. Not enough toilets and sinks (1 after hours). Several machines in laundry room not working. Traffic noise.

The staff and facilities were great, but this site is not really setup for tents. Only a few 'pitches', a patch of gravel no grass, effectively on the waste ground at the back of the site next to the road. All the RV's get wonderful views across the bay while the tents just get a view of the RV's and all the road noise. If the tent pitches were down the hill away from the road it would be perfect.

Best campground in Alaska; very wide site (#11), fantastic view, good for big RV, excellent wifi, camp hosts wonderful. Would have given it a 5 if the campground had cable service for those rainy days or to keep up with world news. Would definitely stay at this park again.

Awesome views and convenient location. Only negatives are paying for showers and the play area wasn't great for my small babies. I hope the campground is still as nice with the new spots being dug up. I enjoyed the smaller atmosphere.

We checked in on Friday, July 20 for 4 night stay, til Monday, July 23;however, on Sunday I paid for one more night, Tuesday, July 24, but didn't need it after all..I went to the office to cancel the reservation and was told I couldn't get a refund because the month of July they have a 1 day cancellation...WHAT? They refused to listen, so I told them I was filling a complaint and no refund to date

We were just recharging and laundry from one dry camp period prior to moving onward. Everything clean, worked, and friendly staff. Other than wishing for the fabulous views as advertised (beyond their control) all was well. However, a clear day would have justified the price. Location, location, location!

The area is clean, showers and bathrooms are nice. Laundry area is clean and in great working order. The staff is nice and easy to talk too. The view is awesome!!!! If I had a negitive thing to say it would be that there is no dividing between rvs. And honestly it did not matter.

Just became a KOA. Still doing a lot of work and developing the campground. Worst part was that there was only 1 remote restroom plus 1 at main office for 40 or so campsites. Also only 4 showers.

The best views ever. Nice size sites. Friendly staff but the view was the best. Even had a couple of bald eagles right in the trees in our camp site. It was great!

If you're looking for peace & quiet w a view this is it. You will need transportation to get to the Homer Spit for any activities For most the distance to the spit is too far to bike or walk. It's a lovely KOA, it is very clean. The campground staff and host/hostess were helpful.

We stayed for a week and enjoyed our stay. Great view of the bay and lots of room between sites.Great employees with lots of information on the Homer area.

The personnel was very nice and friendly. The Location is outstanding, especially the view, and also close to Homer. The big rigs are a Little bit a pain during the nights as some of the Campers apparently absolutely Need the same temperature like at home, i.e. colder or warmer than it is at the Location. I do not call this way of Camping "Camping", as a Little freezing belongs to such stays….

Great place, spent a week here...kids loved playing on the boat...staff was super helpful, and camp host was a great guy...the only down side was the lack of staff at the store which resulted in limited hours....otherwise 5 stars!
