I’d rate this KOA as okay. Why, because it’s just okay. Some sites looked fairy nice, but we were placed in a site termed as “highly sought after”. We would have preferred a different site. The highly sought after site was next to one of the primary roadways, exposed to road noise, dust (gravel road), and no privacy. It appears there are quite a few folks that call this KOA home.

We had a wonderful stay. Staff was extremely courteous and practiced COVID precautions, we felt very safe. Our son and four grandchildren live in Lawrence and now that we have a new camper, we will be regular customers of Lawrence KOA.

Trains OMG Trains all night. I know its not the campgrounds fault but the trains make it impossible to sleep well. Constant trains all night long, seriously every 10 minutes. Was in a tent so that made it worse but I cannot imagine a camper would be much better. Its a great campground amenity wise, but if you are a light sleeper its terrible.

A very nice & quiet stop over located minutes from the interstate. Do use the exit 19 directions. Fuel is at exit 17.

Very clean , great for family but the noise for people at tenting / camping sites are right by train and constant highway traffic. Had someone mentioned this or to bring ear plugs it would have helped . Not kidding woke up to trains every one to two hours all night long . The poor family next to us has little kids and had to pack up and leave during the night .

Sadly while the campgrounds were great and the facilities were very clean the location was terrible. We had to pack up and leave in the middle of the night as none of us could sleep through the constant train whistles. So while the campground was great I can’t recommend it due to sound level.

The only thing is having to share the center island. I don’t like that. No privacy.

The late check-in worked out as we arrived after the office was closed. It would have been nicer to have received the late check-in procedure in advance. Bathrooms were clean. The site was spacious. We were comfortable and felt safe staying there.

We stayed overnight on our road trip and enjoyed our short time there. The hookups were convenient and easy to use. We would stay there again if in the area.

That was the worst cable I have ever experienced. Where we were put was way to close quarters. I did like the staff very warm and friendly.

Pulling in at 5:30 pm on a Friday evening, I expected to have some human contact with the office being open. Driving a class c rv, I was looking forward to a cold coca cola from the camp store. No, everything locked up tight, here's late check in and your campsite # have a nice life...

We are sorry that you felt abandoned. Your check-in packet did have your bathroom code on it. In this year of Covid, everything is different. We are hoping to be back to normal next year with longer store hours.

OK! I'm a Supernatural Super Fan and know it really doesn't have any connection to Lawrence, KS--However, I Go every year because it's a Great Park!! And, For dog Lovers a must go to is the Off-Leash Mutt Park about 6 mi away is a huge--16 acre--off-leash area for Well-behaved Dogs. And, the Park itself has lots of room to roam, Wander and enjoy!

Showed up late, left before sunrise. Pricey for primative campsite. Most "amenities" closed due to the pandemic. $15 for a night stay in a tent with no electricity or other KOA b.s. needs would be more reasonable.

The campground was super clean and well kept. The bathrooms and showers were the cleanest we found our whole trip. Thanks for your hard work cleaning and maintaining!

I did not like that the campground did not allow for play yard enclosures for my dogs. I had to walked them across the campground to the dog park every time they had to potty. And I got lectured from the manager of the KOA about picking up after my dogs and not having them on leashes 100% of the time. I was picking up after my dogs and OTHERS that did not pick up after their dogs !

Very nice camp ground,everyone was very pleasant and helpful. This was our first major trip with the motor home and needed help with setting some things up and they were very accommodating. If in the area I would definitely stay again.

It was great. The area was clean and tidy. I wish there was something that had warned us about the trains all night. There were also other guests partying until after 2am. There should have been a stop to that. Other than that, it was very nice!

So expensive and pool was closed. If amenities are provided like swimming pools, the price is justified but not if pool is closed.

Campers packed in. Restrooms didn't feel safe from virus.

Lots of late night noise from the road as it is nearby. Other than that, the space was adequate and clean.

We have a 40ft fifth wheel. We were crammed in. We were told not to park our truck on the grass but there wasn’t enough room for our truck. Fire pit made it impossible to get out of our spot. Had to get someone to tear down the pit so we could get out, just too many big rigs crammed in.

We only stayed one night but the KOA staff member went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and welcomed.

The people are very nice. The play area, zip line are cool. I think the zip line seat should be replaced. The rv spots are pretty tight together. The bathrooms were clean. They also have a laundry room. Fenced doggy area. Horse shoes.

Wow, the staff are wonderful. And facilitys is very clean with room to say Hi to other camper. Pet friendly. Nice location.
