I paid for a site that was supposed to have electricity, but it wasn't turned on. I thought maybe the problems were on my side, but everything worked perfectly the next night at another campground. Normally, I would have talked to someone, but I had to get on the road before the office opened in the morning.

Small and cozy, quiet and very nice clean bathrooms, with showers. Lots of fire wood available. They charge by the person, so with 6 kids, it cost us a small fortune was the only downside.

Never been in a camping cabin with a TV, microwave and fridge-let alone a nice couch. I'm used to the more primitive cabins. Truck traffic not too bad at this one.

Friendly folks, clean facilities, convenient location, need I say more? Train noise, but oh well. We were here in the “off-season” so it may be crowded other times, but not for us.

Staff was very friendly, site was flat and clean. Fire pit was clean and had good grill on it. Bathrooms were heated, clean and good location. The highway and train sounds were a little loud but I didn't notice them after a bit. Would definitely stay again.

Hosts were super friendly. Bathrooms clean. Our electric only site was grassed and very nice. We thought the train blowing its horn was a nice added bonus! If it’s not to you they offered free ear plugs! Cute kids play areas.

I've stayed several times in Lawrence KOA and am aware of the trains. Fortunately I was awake at 4:30AM in order to leave early; however, was impressed on the number of trains that came through in a half hour by 5A. No wifi availability either was a disappointment. Electric tent site worked very well for using it for my camper van.

We were told that had no vacancy but, when we asked, were given a cabin. After moving in, I noticed several open sites in "tent with electric" area so, after asking, we took one of those. No furniture in pool area. We weren't told until after payment processed that Wi-Fi was down.

Your tent sites need a separate place for your vehicle and for your tent. I was on my motorcycle and they put me on a site that the motorcycle and tent had to be on the same sand pad. to make matters worse I had to drive my motorcycle down a short hill of grass and over the log edging because motoircycles do not have a reverse and trying to push it uphill in sand was a nonstarter.

Wonderful stay as always, but it would be nice to have the pool furniture out since the pool is open.

Bathrooms were clean, staff was friendly. Tent sites were very large and grassy, not rocky or dusty at all. We appreciated that there was a second playground at the tent sites. It was a great place to stop for the night while traveling, but it would be nice for a weekend stay as well.

I always enjoy my stay up in Lawrence Kansas. Friendly people very good service. I've always enjoyed staying there.

The bathrooms were so dirty and when they were ‘cleaned’ you can see they just took the trash out and wiped the many bugs off the counter top. The showers were left with lots of dirt, the drains backed up when to showered, and it was overall an unpleasant experience. The staff was also rude to campers. I would never stay here again.

Great trip after being on the motorcycle for over 2000 miles. Clean bathrooms/showers and great customer service. Very quiet even on Fourth of July weekend!

Staff were kind and helpful. We appreciated that the camping area was clean and well maintained; the trains didn't bother us half as much as we'd thought they would. We'd reserved a site with electric, but our electric wasn't working... we were still able to make it work for cooking with electric skillet, with the outlets in pavilion.

This KOA is very nice. As a tent camper I definitely recommend this site. It will be nice to see some expansions and more activities for children and adults. Most of the staff were very friendly.

Pretty bummed about our stay. Actually asking for a refund. There was no water or electricity at our site. Everything was turned off.

I was very disappointed that the campground decided to implement a no burn policy (because of the wind), when the county had not. I had all of meals planned around having a fire to cook them on. Unfortunately I had to go purchase fast food instead:/ There was hardly any wind until almost 2 o'clock in the morning. Other than that, we had a great stay. The bathrooms are very clean and well kept.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Check out is at 11 am not 2 pm. You had people that you did not pay for and additional tents in your space that were not allowed.

Trains OMG Trains all night. I know its not the campgrounds fault but the trains make it impossible to sleep well. Constant trains all night long, seriously every 10 minutes. Was in a tent so that made it worse but I cannot imagine a camper would be much better. Its a great campground amenity wise, but if you are a light sleeper its terrible.

The people are very nice. The play area, zip line are cool. I think the zip line seat should be replaced. The rv spots are pretty tight together. The bathrooms were clean. They also have a laundry room. Fenced doggy area. Horse shoes.

Wow, the staff are wonderful. And facilitys is very clean with room to say Hi to other camper. Pet friendly. Nice location.
