Campground and facilities were clean and in good working condition, staff was friendly and responsive to our needs. The train whistles take some getting used to since they blow at all hours of the day, but we were warned at check-in and given ear plugs. It may not be an issue for hard sided campers, but if you’re in a tent or tent camper you can’t avoid it.

We stayed in the only non updated delux cabin with bathroom. I can’t describe how awful it was truly depressing and dirty. We paid the same price 175 a night same as the new cabins. They should be ashamed of them selfs for charging that but more so for even having that trailer on site it’s not fit for people to stay in. They didnt even clean it. Truly awful.

I've stayed several times in Lawrence KOA and am aware of the trains. Fortunately I was awake at 4:30AM in order to leave early; however, was impressed on the number of trains that came through in a half hour by 5A. No wifi availability either was a disappointment. Electric tent site worked very well for using it for my camper van.

We were told that had no vacancy but, when we asked, were given a cabin. After moving in, I noticed several open sites in "tent with electric" area so, after asking, we took one of those. No furniture in pool area. We weren't told until after payment processed that Wi-Fi was down.

We had a breakdown with our 5th wheel. The folks here were very helpful and worked with our flexible schedule which went a long way to relieving some of our stress. The park is quite lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Campers way to close to one another throughout the park, so close we could not have a camp fire because the campers next to our pickup parked to close to the fire pit. Could not fully open main slide out because of the electrically box. Would recommend staying at park.

It was a last minute over night stop and we thought the campsite was nice. We got some sleep and were off again in the morning.

The sites were not well maintained. We stayed in site Q, which was in an area that was not nice at all. We were behind some cabins with very little space between the sites and our view was an old storage area and what looked like seasonal or full time RVs, which were a bit dirty and trashy looking. It was a little nicer on the small camper side of the park. The office staff were very nice.

Was able to use the pool after Labor Day which was a bonus. Pizza was good too after a long drive. Our site was a bit close to our neighbors. The host even helped jump start our Jeep. Thanks.

The campground and shower building were clean and well maintained. Internet is down. If you need internet call before making reservations to check the status. They are getting fiber installed so it is not a quick fix like their messages imply. The pet area is nice but not very big. The advertised Disc Golf course is 3 baskets and great for putting practice or to teach kids the sport.

Attractive, clean, well kept campground. Couple in charge were friendly and helpful. Internet was down but at least we were warned ahead of time. Received weird text warning about our pets even after stating twice during reservation process that we had no pets.

This KOA is in need of an update. The park is not big rig friendly. The staff was friendly.

It’s a great campground! It had everything we needed for our one night stay. The Bark Park was rated 5 stars by our puppy.

Cabin was immaculate and comfortable. Loved being in a nature setting so close to I-70. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked with paper. We really enjoyed our overnight stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kansas City West KOA. We stayed in a rustic cabin which was very clean with comfortable mattresses. The facilities were extremely clean. Staff was attentive and friendly. Campground was close to restaurants/coffee/supermarkets with easy access to main highway. Would definitely stay here again if traveling through the area!

We had some issues with our cabin it wasn’t very clean and we had a mouse that stayed the weekend with us they did come clean up the mouse mess right away but just not a very comfortable stay. The rest of the campground was very nice

Sites were small For the price we paid $71 a night. We stayed at much nicer KOA’s and campgrounds for a lot less and the sites were larger while we traveled this summer! The owners and staff were very friendly! Also our site flooded when it rained!

We enjoyed the campground very much. Our site was ideal for us. Noticed there were many fun activities for the kids even though we did not have any kids with us. The grounds were very well maintained. Trains nearby were very noisy but it did not bother us - it was kind of interesting actually! Would definitely choose to stay here if we are in the area again.

Very nice KOA, some of the friendliest camp host I have met. Very clean and well maintained campground, with easy on and off the Interstate. Would definitely stay here next time I am in t he area.

The people are very nice. The play area, zip line are cool. I think the zip line seat should be replaced. The rv spots are pretty tight together. The bathrooms were clean. They also have a laundry room. Fenced doggy area. Horse shoes.

Wow, the staff are wonderful. And facilitys is very clean with room to say Hi to other camper. Pet friendly. Nice location.
