Lake Tahoe KOA Journey General Information

Lock a specific site for $50 per reservation.

Bears, raccoons, crows, deer and other critters are all part of the landscape here, and we ask for your help in keeping both guests and animals safe. Please do not feed, bait, touch, or attempt to attract wildlife. Food, coolers, cooking gear, pet food, toiletries, and trash should be stored inside a hard-sided vehicle or RV when not in use, and garbage placed in the receptacles provided. We ask that grills be cleaned after each use and that pets stay leashed and attended. If you come across a bear or other large animal, please don't approach it, step away calmly and let the front office know so our staff can respond. Guests who repeatedly leave food out or feed wildlife may be asked to leave the property.

If you expect to arrive after our front desk closes, there is a late arrivals box with everything you'll need to check in.  If you have a reservation; located on the front of the main building is a bulletin board where you'll find your site map with directions to your site. If you have a cabin, an envelope will be left with your name ; key and campground map will be inside. Please be sure to stop by the front desk in the morning to register for your stay.

We provide WiFi throughout the campground. However, a number of factors impact its strength; including things like number of guests, trees, weather conditions, the proximity of our antennas, and even nearby RVs. Therefore, we cannot guarantee great WiFi at your site. Cellular service at our campground and throughout the Lake Tahoe Basin varies by provider.

To ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests, the following visitor rules apply:

• All visitors must register at the front desk upon arrival. No exceptions.
  
• A $10 Day Pass per person (ages 5 and over) is required.
  
• Day Passes are valid for the date of purchase only.
  
• Visitors must comply with all campground rules and respect quiet hours.
  
• Registered guests are responsible for the behavior of their visitors at all times.
  
• Unregistered visitors are not permitted on campground property.

Cancellation PolicyCancellations made prior to the deadlines below will receive a refund of the deposit minus a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within the cancellation window will result in the forfeiture of the one-night deposit.Cancellation Deadlines:

• RV Sites: 7 days prior to arrival
  
• Tent Sites: 7 days prior to arrival
  
• Camping Cabins: 14 days prior to arrival
  
• Deluxe Lodges: 14 days prior to arrival
  
• All Other Lodging Types: 14 days prior to arrival
  

All cancellations must be made before 4:00 PM (local campground time). For example, if your arrival date is July 20, you must cancel before 4:00 PM on July 13 for RV and tent sites.
 Camping is an outdoor experience, and while we always hope for great weather, conditions are beyond our control. Once your reservation is made, we hold your site exclusively and turn away other guests; therefore, deposits and refunds are handled according to this cancellation policy, regardless of weather conditions.
 No Call / No Show: Guests who do not arrive and do not notify the campground will be charged for the full stay.

We follow the KOA National Pet Policy. Good behavior is required. Dogs of any breed that are hostile or aggressive will be asked to leave the campground, along with their owners. Bring the leash. Dogs must be kept on leashes no longer than 6 feet when outside their owners' vehicles or rental units. Do not leave a tethered dog unattended. Remember manners. Constant barking bothers other campers. If your pet is too vocal, you'll need to find other accommodations. You are required to pick up after your animal friends. Our pet fees apply to our lodging accommodations and vary depending on size and type of accommodation.

Service animals are welcome throughout the campground at no charge, including in areas where pets aren't allowed. Pet fees, pet-area restrictions, and breed, size, and weight limits don't apply to them. Service animals in training are welcome on the same terms. A service animal is a dog individually trained to do work or perform a task for a person with a disability. If that isn't obvious, we may ask two things and only two: whether the animal is a service animal required because of a disability, and what work or task it has been trained to perform. We won't ask about your disability, and we won't ask for documentation, certification, or a vest. Please keep your animal housebroken, under your control, and with you rather than unattended, and clean up after it, tell us if you need a hand with that. We'd only ask that an animal be removed if it were out of control or not housebroken, and you'd still be welcome to stay. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy animals are not service animals under the ADA.  An animal that provides comfort simply by being present, without training to perform a specific task, doesn't meet the definition, no matter what letter, certificate, or registration comes with it. It's still welcome here under our pet policy above.

Kids and Bikes
Please supervise young children and be mindful of heavy traffic areas. 
Landscaping
Follow all signs and stay on the designated walkways. 
Tent
Tents are for designated tent pads.  If you would like to set up a tent please contact the front desk about obtaining a tent site.
Vehicle Washing
Vehicle washing is not allowed in the park except by authorized vendors.
Quiet Hours
Daily, 10pm to 8am. Be respectful and mindful of your neighbors. Loud and unruly behavior will not be tolerated. Offenders will forfeit their charges and be excluded from the campground.
Campfires
Put out all fires before retiring for the evening and follow any fire restrictions that are in effect. 
Speed Limit
The speed limit in the park is 5mph. Drive slowly and carefully for safety.
