Great location and wonderful shuttle to the ferry option. Great staff!! The office opens at 9am and closes at 6pm so plan ahead if you think you’ll need firewood, have questions, etc.

Great facilities. Great people working there. They were very helpful in all the activities we participated in. Excellent information on restaurants, directions and local tourist sites especially Mackinac Island!

Very friendly and inviting staff. Campground was very well maintained and clean. Nice pool to cool off in. Had a nice trail that connected to the paved bike trail, great for running too. Would definitely stay again!

Been coming up for 30 years and the prices were way to high for what we got. Also no special deal on 7 day stay. We probably will not be cack next year

The trail made access by bike or walking into Mackinaw City very convenient. The restrooms and showers were clean throughout our stay. Overall the park was quiet and it was a very pleasant experience. We would definitely stay there again.

Loved the Mackinaw City K.O.A. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Loved how they bring each camper to their site. Loved the convenience for all of our needs and desires to do on this vacation. Will definitely stay here again.

Super nice folks. We’ve been to more modern and fancier campgrounds, but the people that ran the place were so very kind and professional. They were always out and about working on things and keeping the grounds in shape. We have nothing to complain about and everything positive to say.

Very nice campground house as a home base for vacationing around the city and Island. I like the nightly texts from the office inquiring if we need ice, wood, anything before the camp store closes for the evening. For some reason this website won't let me give it 5 stars, but I would if I could!

We arrived after hours and because of the text messages they sent us we were very well informed of what to do. There communication through out our stay made a big difference. Campground was very well kept and clean will be going there again.

I cancelled 1st night of 2 night reservation, employee errored and cancelled second night. Arrived on Saturday, owner said I should not have been able to cancel or receive a 1 night refund since it was during a holiday period (June 25&26), they consider entire summer a holiday period. They had availability, owner wanted to charge me for that another night. I lost my money, will dispute with VISA

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were clean and well maintained. It wasn’t a deal breaker but there is sulfur in the water which had a funky smell.

It is a very nice park. The sites are big enough to get in and out easily. The TV reception is poor. and the WiFi is almost invisible. It was frustrating to even get any signal at all. I expected better from KOA.

Patricia, Thank you for your feedback. I am glad you enjoyed the park. I wish you had let us know about your difficulties with the WIFI and TV. We would send someone out to help. We do have fiber optic WIFI and DirecTV and get lots of compliments. We'd be happy to help you tune in next time.

Very nice KOA. RV site was fantastic. Enjoyed the patio, grill, fire pit, table, and chairs! Very friendly staff. Proximity of KOA to points of interest around Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island was outstanding!

This KOA is absolutely wonderful! The sites are well-spaced, wooded and shady. It's reasonably close to Mackinaw City but far enough away that you don't feel you're "urban camping." The pool and laundry facilities are great. We did not use the showers. The staff are extremely helpful, and I love that they deliver firewood/ice to your site upon request. Highly recommend this location.

We had been told Mac City KOA wasn’t a much for some of the other upper Mich and UP KOAs. We disagree - we loved our stay at Mac City! Close to so much, quiet and comfortable on-site. Lovely, shaded sites, pleasant helpful staff. We’ll be back and recommend to all…

Nice to receive nightly texts to remind us of office closing time in the event we needed anything. Stayed at other KOAs that had no spacing between sites. This one had trees and more space than usual. Sites are still close but better than most KOAs. Clean park and staff was exceptional! Convenient to local places of interest. Shuttles to Mackinac Island pick up there.

Our site was very narrow, with hardly any room and no flat spot for chairs around the fire ring. We had to use blocks of wood we have for our stabilizer jacks to make our chairs level. Other than that, we loved our stay!! Loved the pool and playground, shuttle to Shepler's, evening texts to check in and see if we need anything, the friendliness of the staff, and especially the convenience to town.

We stayed this first time here this past Father's Day Weekend and was very impressed!! We went and met my dad and mom their!! They we're also very impressed!! Staff we're ALL so friendly and nice!! Brought wood to our sites/ice if needed!! We have all said we will be back next year!!

This campground was great to stay in after our day on Mackinac Island. We arrived right before the office closed at 6pm on Saturday and were able to get firewood and checked in. You can't get firewood after 6 as far as I know so if you need firewood and will get there after hours, get some on the way in. The campground was clean, the staff were incredibly friendly, and we had a great time staying in our Kamping Kabin with our two dogs.

This is the nicest KOA we've camped at. The sites are spaced apart with maple trees between each site. Beautiful for Fall camping. The facilities get A+ on cleanliness, on enough showers, and on hot water in the showers! The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. They have outdoor games for kids, bikes for rent, the bike trail runs close to the park, and they have a free shuttle to the ferry. We will definitely camp here again if we are in the area.
