What a week! If you’ve been anywhere near the campground lately, you’ve probably noticed that things have been buzzing. We’ve been hard at work making Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA Journey even better for our guests — and this past week was one for the books.
We’re thrilled (and honestly a little stunned) to share that this week brought three huge honors:
KOA’s World Class Customer Service Award — recognizing our commitment to hospitality and guest care.
RVLife’s Best of the Best Award — celebrating top-tier campgrounds nationwide.
Cabel was named an Area Board Member for the KOA Owners Association — giving our little corner of Mississippi a voice in shaping KOA’s future.
We couldn’t be prouder, and we couldn’t have done it without the campers who choose to stay with us.
Our game room got a full glow-up! Fresh layout, refreshed energy, and a cleaner, more welcoming space for families to hang out and unwind. It already feels like the new heart of the campground!!
Both of our KampK9 paw pens are now complete with their final upgrades. More room, more comfort, more convenience — and a whole lot more tail-wagging.
We upsized the communal firepit… a lot. The new version is hilariously oversized and already a guest favorite. Whether you’re roasting marshmallows or swapping road stories, this thing brings the heat — literally.
We removed the last old concrete pad on property and renovated two full sites to add extra length. That means more room for larger rigs and easier parking for even the biggest campers. Will one get a patio? A Paw Pen? Only time will tell!!
Every last bit of exterior painting is wrapped up. Clean, fresh, bright, and ready for guests rolling in all year long.
Several sites received brand-new heavy-duty water bibs — small upgrades that make a big difference in day-to-day comfort for guests.
We met so many incredible campers this week — families, full-timers, overnighters, and longtime KOA fans. Their kindness, stories, and laughs kept us energized every step of the way.
We might’ve put in a crazy number of hours… but we’re not wore out yet! Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA Journey keeps getting better, and we can’t wait to show you what’s next.
