The campground was being repaved. It was aweful. It was noisy and it smelt terrible. We should have been given a discount. If trash is not being picked up at our site they need to have a trash container closer to our site. It was on the other side of the campground. Staff could have been a little more friendly. Seemed like they hated their jobs.

Nice journey location. Staff was friendly and professional. First pull thru site had strong sewer gas smell from vent pipe, so they moved us to a much nicer site. Had a good stay and will return.

Don met us at the gate and escorted us to our site. Sites clean; bathrooms and pool/jacuzzi in excellent condition.

I understand that this is a business and likely on a tight budget and timeline, but late checkouts would really be great. I had made arrangements to have a special arrangement checkout by 1 pm. However, at 11 am despite this arrangement got a phone call from the office saying I needed to leave. It really caused stress for the morning. Nevertheless, great park. Great location.

Nice and clean, a little too far from town for our taste but.. To each his own. Pleasant staff and very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

No trees. Spaces pretty close together. Sites were level, which was nice. Being that this was a KOA Journey, I expected more. Dismal was the word I think of. Clean but boring. It is Apache Junction, which is always hot. That's why trees between spaces would have been nice. Did not use bathroom, laundry etc.

Had a wonderful time Great place to camp with nice amenities. Pool was nice and so was the hot tub. Sandstorm wasn't too nice but that was beyond KOA control. Can't wait to go back. Staff was very friendly. Location is close to Goldfield.

Great campground. Pretty zeroscape, long wide sites, nice pool. Didn't use bathrooms, but the whole place is well-groomed and clean. Nice staff. If they could only control the climate, it would be perfect.

Whenever we go to the KOA it's always a great time. The employees are so nice and it's very well kept.

Very nice people running it. Cute touches with the little cactus stakes to mark each site. Close to Apache Trail and mountains and lakes.

Well managed and well maintained. Janet in the office is the most helpful. WiFi is horrible. Monthly sites have hardly any shade or view. Few options in this area of rv sites that accommodate families so we had to stay here for work. Playground is not a play ground. The chemicals they use to spray for weeds is very strong and left residual harsh odors at sites. Pool and laundry were nice.

Had a fantastic spot #71. Patio-table and chairs-brand new BBQ island. Would have been 5 stars if not for the annoying phone call at 11:24 AM asking "Is everything OK" yes all is good putting up levelers now " Just checking as check out time was 11 AM". Annoying. Park was not full.

Salome KOA botched our reservation so we drove to Mesa/Apache Junction. Don expedited our location and after hours registration. Next morning, Janet coordinated our reservations in conjunction with KOA Corporate to facilitate our continued trip home. In a day when customer service is key to business, the staff of Mesa/Apache Junction demonstrated the highest care. Thank you, Don and Janet!

We loved the campground and our ample site with patio and grill but we had to leave early due to the heat wave (109 degrees). We’ll be back…when it’s cooler.

We were there during the summer so it was pretty hot. The electric handled all of the ac units running in the park with no interruption in service. The spots were very close together and your door faced your neighbor so the privacy was lacking. We understand it was for power and water hookups but still not our preference. The bathrooms were very clean and nicely configured.

We stayed at this KOA about 20 years ago. This time we stayed in a Kamper Kabin and except for the air conditioner going off and on the first night of our stay because it had been set to economy mode in 104 degree summer heat. It kept us up all night, but after resetting it the second night, there were no problems. The camp hosts were wonderful and the park, restrooms, pool were in wonderful.

Nice quiet place, the older managers on the weekends are great. But I tagged the rating lower due to basically no internet. It should be upgraded. Luved the pool too.

This is one of the top 3 KOA's we have stayed in. Very clean park, with nice restrooms. Take a trip to Canyon Lake/ Tortilla Flat, awesome scenery.

Exceptional KOA. Showers and restrooms are spotless! I never used the pool so cannot comment. KOA store is well stocked. Camp hosts are helpful and friendly. Trash bins are clean! The campground is very well maintained. What more could one ask for?

Loved the Kampground. People were very friendly Would like to see a shade structure over the dog run. Pea grave was really hot on their paws

Bathrooms very tired and too small for campground of this size. Owner does not cover rails into pool and with extreme heat, burnt hand getting onto pool. Cigarette smoke/butts all over area near pool. Disgusting. Owners very inflexible and not concerned with extreme heat and how it affects paying customers. Will never return to this location. THIs Mesa KOA ruins KOA good reputation overall.
