Check-In / Check-Out Times

We'd love for you to stay another night, yet all good things must end. So, we've established 11:00 AM as the Check-out time for all sites and cabins.
Check-In.

RV & Tent Sites: Check-in 2:00pm
Accommodations: Check-in 2:00pm
Early Check-in: We clean and prepare the campground for your arrival between 11:00am and 2:00pm.  Our office closes during that time making it difficult to greet you if you arrive early.  We do try to accommodate early arrival requests, but must be requested and approved by our staff prior to day of arrival.

Pet Policy

We love pets!  We love pet owners that use a 6' leash and use the designated areas to exercise them.
Please keep them quiet and your pets hate it when you leave, so please don't leave them unattended.

Take care of the grass!

We try to keep our grass green, so please do not park or drive on the grass.  Check with the office for available overflow parking.
We know Camping World told you their mat would let the grass "breath" but they lied. No mats, camping carpets or rugs on the grass, please!

No Electrical Step Downs aka "Dog Bones" Allowed

To ensure safety and protect our electrical system, we do not allow the use of step-down adapters (commonly called “dog bones”) that convert a 50-amp RV plug to fit into a 30-amp outlet. Please book a site that matches the electrical service your RV is built for, based on manufacturer specifications.Examples:
  • If your RV has a 50-amp plug, you must reserve a 50-amp site. You may not book a 30-amp site and use an adapter to make it fit.
  • If your RV has a 30-amp plug, you may book either a 30-amp site or a 50-amp site, since all of our 50-amp sites include 50/30/20-amp outlets — meaning your 30-amp RV can plug directly into the 30-amp outlet at that site without an adapter.

If you're not sure which type of site to book, just give us a call — we're happy to help!

No Tents or Spikes on RV or Cabin Sites

No tents or spikes on RV or Cabin sites.  We have a designated tenting area.

Fireworks

Have you ever seen a propane tank explode?  Us neither, NO FIREWORKS, PLEASE!

Cooking on Tables

Please take care of our tabletops.  Do not burn or allow grease to splatter on tables.  Please place something under your grill, or cookware to protect our tables so the next guest may enjoy the table.

Visitor Policy

Please direct visitors to the office so that we may properly welcome them. Visitors must be registered. They must leave no later than 9:00 PM. If you'd like, we'll tell Uncle Larry it's time to go and no, he can't finish that last story.

FIREWOOD POLICY

FIREWOOD: - Local Firewood is available for sale at the office.  Help slow the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer Beetle, Asian Gypsy Moth and Asian Longhorned Beetle in our parks. Please don't transport wood into the state of South Dakota.  The South Dakota Department of Agriculture (SDDA) reminds people to get firewood from the local area to prevent the transportation of unwanted forest pests in and around the state.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in doing your part to protect our parks from this destructive insect - one that has killed tens of millions of ash trees in at least 32 states.

EV Charging at RV Sites

It is essential to understand that EVs require constant electricity flow to charge their batteries, and our campgrounds' electrical pedestals do not have this capability. Our current electrical pedestals were originally designed for non-continuous loads typical of today's RV usage, and therefore simply cannot support EV charging. Plugging your EV into a traditional 50-30 amp campground pedestal could permanently damage your vehicle as well as the campground's electrical system.

If a charging converter was provided by your auto manufacturer, it does not change the way electricity flows within the campground's electrical infrastructure and should not be used to connect your EV to our campground pedestals.

TREES

Our trees are nice, right?  Please do not put screws into them or tie anything to them and ruin the bark.  Yes, we've had it done before and we'd appreciate it if you did not.  Thank you!

Washing RVs, Vehicles & Windshields

RV/Automobile Washing: Please do not wash your RV or any other vehicles.  There are RV, Truck & Car Washes close by in Mitchell.

Windshield Washing:  Using a hose nozzle that shuts off is ok for windshields ONLY. Please use minimal water and a mist.
