Everybody is super friendly, and the entire place is so well run. We love you all! - Ken and Laurie

I know it had rained some, but the roads were full of potholes. The site was mostly gravel with an abundance of weeds. Our patio that we paid extra for was not cleaned off and had at least a 1/2" of crap on it. It didn't look as if the grass anywhere in the park had ever been mowed. Somehow I think when you pay over $100/night you should at least get these things. We won't be back.

We loved this campground! Kind & welcoming staff, clean & efficient, perfect location for beaches, Charleston, Boone Hall, Patriots Point, etc. OR quiet, fun at the campground! Looking forward to our next adventure here!

Beautiful cottage and love how they decorate for holidays. Very clean and welcoming. They put a personal touch on things and we love it there!

Well run KOA with nice grounds and friendly staff. Enjoyed our stay here. Would definitely use this campground again if we are in the Charleston area.

The staff was so friendly, taking time to talk with us at our campsite, and delivered us firewood through the trip. I loved the trail through the woods, very well maintained. The tour of the neighboring plantation was a plus.

One of the cleanest KOA and friendly people

Nice stay for a few days. Wicked storms came thru….the power stayed on. Few made quick work of branch cleanup the next morning. Will return.

Campground was clean, quiet, and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the nature trail and the scenery in general. I wish there had been more than 2 opportunities during the week to ride to the plantation. The campground was pretty and we were very pleased with our site. We loved having a swing and patio! We plan to return for another stay!

Terrible.. other then access to surrounding area this place is a no go…. Rude staff, dirty facilities, and bare minimum for amenities.. stay away!!

the staff were not very helpful for questions about the area such as local restaurants and refused to fill our propane tanks without showing us why? We havent had issues filling them for the last 4 months while traveling until there. the staff i feel need better customer service training.

Very scenic and well maintained.

This is a beautiful well run and organized facility. I liked how there was someone to escort you to your site even after hours. Easy access to local restaurants and Walmart.

Le secteur tente était près du lac et il a été transféré plus loin à l’écart. C’est dommage.

Our patio site was fantastic nestled between two very tall trees. Fun to watch the deer feed along the creek in front of our site. Service was exception. The guys passed by often on their golf carts and were readily available to solve a problem or give advice on the area.

Love staying at this campground. Great location for us. Very well kept. Friendly and helpful staff. Will always stay here when we are in the area.

Had a few staff members that were having a bad day but other than that the stay was excellent.

We stayed 4 nights and had to leave one night early due to bad storms. The campground was quiet and clean. Charleston is about a 25 min drive and the beach is about 10 minutes away. The sites are clean and well kept. Staff was friendly and refunded our last night since we had to leave early. I splash pad is being constructed so we definitely be back!

Very expensive for an passing through night. All that expense and the wifi was unusable. Pretty site but only a single bathroom and when it is closed for cleaning, no obvious options.

I felt safe, knew where to get what I needed, everyone was kind and professional!

Everyone I had interactions from the staff within the campground were always very friendly and helpful. Campgrounds were well maintained and clean. When you call the desk or go to the front office be sure you know the number of your campsite - they are not happy when they ask, and you don't know. If you stay in a cabin where bed linens are provided be sure to take your own...just an FYI.

First the good - great people, cable tv, and internet access. Now, the bad - the spot we had was waaaayy overpriced for what it was. The spots were on top of one another. We were stuck in an area that appeared to be mostly workampers. Lots of junk around. Road was muddy. Constant symphony of barking dogs. Not worth what we paid for the spot. Really disappointed.

A pleasant place to hang out for a few days, so convenient to exploring Charleston and surrounding area. Especially appreciated a loaner router (on inquiry, as wireless completely failed). Beware: GPS or GoogleMaps may lead you next door, into a housing development! Proper access road was never recognized over several days.

Nice campground. When calling ahead, a staff member gave us misinformation. The deluxe cabins need some renovations on furniture, cabinets, etc.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Confused by your comment on the Deluxe Cabins as you had rented a full hook up site.

Very dissatisfied with the amount of activities offered. The Rec room was empty except tables/chairs. Some board games, books or even chalkboard/chalk would be welcome. Zero areas for children except a small playground. Splash pad coming. For such a well off area it was surprising how much this KOA was lacking.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The campground offers a full scope of activities from Memorial to Labor day. There are not enough children on the campground outside of these dates to have a full schedule of organized activities.

Very clean Excellent KOA. If there were a Distinguished Service Medal for Service Every employee should receive one.

Excellent KOA. Pricey but location is great. Every year they try to improve the campground. We've been coming to this location for almost 12 years. And we'll be back again!

Great spot. Staff were all helpful and friendly even in the busiest times. Sites were well spaced and comfortable. Nice views of the lake. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry were all clean and worked well. Patio site we stayed in was fantastic. Location is close to great sightseeing and tons of shopping. Campsite is peaceful and quiet. Good security with gate system and night patrol. We will be back.

We stayed here a couple months ago on our cross country trip and it was one of our favorite places! The location was perfect and the grounds were nice, and they have a lovely nature walk. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Scott in particular was so great and helped us out when we had some issues with our tires on check out day. Thank you guys for a great stay!
