Was very disappointed. Had to sign a statement of responsibility upon arrival , the problem is the fees were highly excessive. The property was a mess with construction that did not seem to be progressing much. The K-9 park seems like you really don't care about pets .There was NO WATER for the pets. Description of cabin said partical kitchen/you don't know this term includes a stovetop- NONE !

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry you had a disappointing visit. Damage/Clean Up Agreement is standard. Description of the cabin states it has a microwave, keurig coffee maker and small fridge. A section of Kamp K-9 is fenced into the lake, water there. Improvements are moving along.

This was a very pleasant location. Both of the sites that we stayed in (we came in a night early and the site we'd booked for the rest of our stay wasn't yet available) were clean and nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. Trash was cleaned up promptly. The lake seemed like a nice place to sit, although it was a little cold when we visited. The location is close to Charleston.

This KOA is in a great location. Staffs are friendly, facilities were neat and well maintained. I did tent camp , The tent spots are limited and relatively closer to each other. The spot was not too big, sufficient for just one tent. Tent area is well shaded, private from RVs and next to a lake. Overall a good place with access to many nearby shops.

We have stayed at the Mount Pleasant KOA several times.. The grounds are well kept and the staff always friendly and helpful. There is one complaint I would like to express and that is the fact of other campers thinking nothing of walking through our site all times of the day and night! What has happened to common courtesy? It was not only our site it was the sites on both sides of us! Site #9

Excellent and relaxing campground. We drove into Charleston every day and it was more convenient than we thought. Pretty cool mile long nature trail along a lake was great �

Love the campground and location, but don’t like having to pay for my family to come in and have a meal with us. If they were using the pool and other facilities I can understand the charge, but just to come in and enjoy a meal I think the per person charge is a bit too high.

This is the nicest KOA we have stayed at. The staff was phenomenal, grounds were extremely well kept, and the campground was very well located. Will be back soon!

Wonderful stay, and we will be staying there again. "Miss Joyce" was really great, and our kids enjoyed all of the activities that are available. 5 stars.

Awesome First Time Visit. The park is clean and the bass pond is beautiful. The cabin was cozy with outside picnic tables, firepits, and grills. The staff was very attentive and courteous. They even called to tell me I forgot a big pillow and that they were mailing it back to me. We will be back! Thanks for the hospitality.

Very tight spaces and not the cleanest sites. We were in the back row lined up with all the extra vehicles and trailers from monthly campers. Some of the pull through end sites are decent but otherwise you have mostly big rigs on both sides of you, fire pits close to the road and absolutely no privacy. James island County Park is a much nicer campground but hard to get a reservation.

Only reason I gave a 4 star instead of a 5 star was the rule against using any stakes in the sites. With a small camper and 2 rainy days, we missed our pop up canopy. If we had known the “no stakes” rule up front, we would have brought weights. Great staff and nice facilities! Overall, highly recommend.

One of the most impressive resort we stayed at on the east coast. Staff was very helpful and provided great recommendations for things to do and local restaurants. We’ll be back in the summer!!

Nice place need gravel around cabins. Dirt around the cabins constant tracking indoors. Cabin clean, but the bleach smell a little strong. The air system needs new filters. The existing bathrooms were clean but need update from peeling paint and old fixtures. Still would recommend this KOA to family or friends.

Great stay overall! The campers in 11 & 12 were a bit loud after hrs. along w their dog who was left alone in their camper barked nonstop. It’s great to see kids outside playing and not with phones in their hands. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Every staff member is friendly and helpful: from guiding us to our site, helping us to back in, daily trash pickup, firewood delivery and overall maintenance of the facility. Bathrooms and Showers, very nice and very clean! Beautiful setting away from businesses and traffic, but so close if you need something. Highlight was the complementary wagon ride to the original Plantation House.

Excellent KOA. Pricey but location is great. Every year they try to improve the campground. We've been coming to this location for almost 12 years. And we'll be back again!

Great spot. Staff were all helpful and friendly even in the busiest times. Sites were well spaced and comfortable. Nice views of the lake. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry were all clean and worked well. Patio site we stayed in was fantastic. Location is close to great sightseeing and tons of shopping. Campsite is peaceful and quiet. Good security with gate system and night patrol. We will be back.

We stayed here a couple months ago on our cross country trip and it was one of our favorite places! The location was perfect and the grounds were nice, and they have a lovely nature walk. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Scott in particular was so great and helped us out when we had some issues with our tires on check out day. Thank you guys for a great stay!
