This has been a yearly destination vacation for our family. We LOVE all the activities, onsite conveniences, & its close to all the scenic highlights in the Black Hills. One problem we had was the camper next to us parked over our firepit so we were unable to use it. Camping sites were cramped in our area. The showers/& liners were a bit dirty but overall we were HAPPY CAMPERS!

We come to this campground because we like taking our off road vehicle on the trails accessible from the campground. The badlands are cool too.

We will be back in the future! The Chuckwagon Supper and Show was our favorite event a lot of fun for the adults and kids. Food was delicious, workers were down to earth and very friendly. Thank you for accommodating us.

I loved everything about this place other than the lack of WiFi. Co Info from out of state & was not able to download maps till I was out of the campground was a bit frustrating. When we inquired about this, they said they do have wifi but so many guests are on it, it’s nearly impossible to join. I didn’t need it to surf the web, I only needed it to download maps and make phone calls.

We had a great time and the activities were awesome. The pool was very cloudy. Maybe normal, I didn't ask.

This was my second visit to this location and it just got better than it was in 2008! Lots to do for all ages! Very clean too!

The kids had a BLAST! My 7yr old daughter rides western pleasure horses and loved getting to trial ride on our vacation. My almost 9yr old love getting to ride the bikes and had a ton of fun on the waterslide. My wife and I loved the options our kids had to choose from and the closeness of all the amenities. We were told by friends how great this place was and it didn't disappoint us!!!

We stayed overnight so we could attend the chuckwagon supper. We liked that the stores stayed open late and the guitar player on the patio. We did not want to spend time in the camper on such a beautiful evening so it was nice to have some entertainment. The bathrooms and the grounds were very clean. The place was very quiet also.

First cabin was right next to someone with 2 dogs outside barking so moved us to a cabin in different area. Accommodations were nice but nothing fancy for $130. Should have gotten a room at lodge with A/C and bedding since we're on a motorcycle. Liked the pancake tent for breakfast. Enjoyed icecream at the little icecream shop there. Nice restrooms and shower facilities.

Nice amenities, but the sites are too close together, muddy and our site was impossible to level our coach. We saw several motorhomes with the front wheels off the ground (which you should never do).

Resort fee plus the high site fee did not reflect on the quality of camp sites.

The stay was great, loved the central location to a variety of attractions in the area. The kids and adults loved the activity area and especially liked playing bags each night. We rented a golf cart a few of the days and explored the campground thoroughly. The maintenance was a little slow at resolving issues, there was a leaky toilet in #5, the latch handle to the pool did not operate properly

We really enjoyed the trail rides however most of the other things were less than pleasant. Sight was full of weeds, muddy, and not well maintained. The pool area was filthy, needs good cleaning. The drive path needs more gravel and better maintenance. No interest service was inconvenient for planning outings. The staff in the shop were annoyed by any all inquiries and particular lady unwilling.

Every staff person I exchanged with was so friendly and cheerful.. refreshing! It rained the entire time we were there but otherwise it was wonderful! Thank you for the bus tour to the memorial to see the lighting!

Our stay was amazing!! Too bad the weather wouldn't work on it favor. Next time we come we are planning on staying around the campsite a whole lot more and not run around trying to do so many touristy things

Bathroom moldy and dirty. NOT because of time of day. Shower curtains mold, tried 4 different ones, all the same. You guys can afford to clean, replace and maintain your bathrooms. Nice family facilities and friendly staff but no excuse for mold in your bathrooms. $10 replaces thoses curtains.

Beautiful scenery, so many fun activities for the kids to do, lots of areas to discover and play. Clean and friendly environment.

The host guided us the wrong direction to back in to our spot. The spot wasn't big enough to park our small 23ft trailer with 1 slide with pickup beside or in front, so we had to park sideways in front and sticking part way in the road. This was all after spending an hour trying to find a spot that was semi-level after using leveling blocks. This site was definitely not worth $112.

Great stay, lots to do. Clearer communication on what each of the events are would be helpful. Requested nearby sites, and didn’t get that.

Disappointed that television didn’t work in our cabin and the staff didn’t tell me upfront. Main restarauonot in operation and wasn’t disclosed either. These should be discussed or reduced pricing offered.

Excellent family get together. Park is very clean, staff is wonderful. Great entertainment if you have children.

Younger workers at the fun zone were not friendly and didn’t even pay attention. Otherwise staff was great. Most sites are small.

Tons of things to do and most of the kids activities are free (rock climbing, jump pillow, mini golf), most other places we stay you have to pay extra.

I enjoyed everything about my stay. Great amenties, some a bit worn out, but still fun. Kids loved it all. Great layout. Beautiful scenery.

This KOA is perfectly located & has great views. A lot of guests were complaining about bad/no WiFi but that is ok. We were there to visit the surrounding area & be outdoors. Also, we had to leave early due to a family situation back home & to my surprise, I was refunded the last night. The restaurant was not open this season but they had a snack bar w/ great food options.We would go back!!

We dry docked for the night since they are closed for the season. This KOA is very beautiful with deer coming right up to the front door.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nites, and it was Phenomenal. A beautiful Resort atmosphere and even though it was at the very end of the season, every one there was very helpful and especially Becky. She is so knowledgeable about the area. I worked for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and I would hire here in a heartbeat to work with. KOA is very fortunate to have employees of this caliber.

This KOA is in a perfect location and would love to stay here again. We rented a glammed cabin which is just a upgrade from their simple cabins but well worth it in my opinion. Your cabin already comes with bedding, a mini fridge, microwave, outdoor grill and table and chairs. You have a beautiful view of the woods and the campground itself has so many activities. You're right in the middle of the black forest, custer state park and Mt Rushmore. I will definitely be staying there again.
