This is by far the best KOA we have stayed at. When we arrived, they had us in a spot that was too small for our RV and were very accommodating and put us in a bigger and better spot for our stay. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They have so much fun activities to do there that you never need to even leave the campsite!

Very large koa resort. Family oriented w many activities for parents & kids. Eateries on premises, pools, horse back riding, mini golf & more! Park for so large is well maintained- clean sites, grass cut. Most sites have green space. Large space to walk your dog. Staff I interacted with were smiling & pleasant. Close to attractions. Neg- very poor WiFi. Be aware cable limited to certain sites.

The shuttle to Mount Rushmore was wonderful. Bathroom showers were mostly clean, but had mildew on the tile walls. The camping spaces were a bit narrow. We could not extent our awning fully. The kids enjoyed the park, pool and horses very much. Breakfast was excellent.

The sites are way too small for anyone to enjoy their stay. Several campers just used our site as a pass-thru at all hours of day and night. The pull-thru sites were a joke, we hardly fit in with our 28 foot camper; our truck could not stay connected which is the purpose of a pull-thru. There was trash and dog poop thrown around the park and it didnt seem anyone cared that worked there.

This Campground is centrally located to see a lot of things. Campsites are tight (expecting you to spend time away). There is so much to do right at the campground that you really don't need to leave or cook. Definitely a nice spot.

Great location for visiting all the beauty the area has to offer. Very, very packed with people and motorized vehicles. If you have kids it would be awesome. Employee at the outside of check in area was not very friendly, gave us a bad impression.

Our family had an awesome stay. We loved all the activities that were available in the fun zone. We enjoyed all you can eat pancake breakfast. It was really neat to see the horses in the morning and at night as they were going back to the barn. Give this KOA a double thumbs up

The amenities at this park are the best. So much to do for adults and kids. The sites are a little close and we were a little disappointed that are sites were not next to each other since we booked them back in March for an August stay. We did not have this issue at 2 other KOAs we booked at the same time for our vacation. The bathrooms were not as clean as other KOAs.

Tiny pool for kids was great size, and splash pad was fun for littles, but both needed maintenance and a solid scrubbing. Cute mini golf course, kids enjoyed that. Sites are smaller than most KOA's and the showers need some TLC. Location is great!

Staff was extremely friendly and there's lots todo for the kids. But the bathrooms were awful. Black mold and mildew in every shower and the bathrooms were far away from the cabins- having to either trek down a steep hill or go around a long way on the road (no parking at the bathrooms so driving isn't an option).

Fantastic resort, great location. Only negative was that the WiFi connection was very poor unless you were near the main office.

No ice in the afternoon, cabins not maintained very well, paper and clothes found under beds on the floor when we checked in, only one laundry service available.

Love all the activities. However, very crowded at times, water slide is freezing cold, pool was very murky all week and cold, and overall RV sites, are dusty and dirty.

Not a fan! the set up is dangerous... I understand this is a resort, however, the main road that is used for vehicles traveling to and from the main entrance is also used by many children running and crossing to and from the water slide and mini golf or just playing. Please rethink this design! Too many sites and very small, really crammed in.

They could use the resort fee and do maintenance on the mini golf course. Showers were cold every morning. A lot of fun things to do. Rodeo was alot of fun. They need to reinvest and up grade some of the comfort station showers.

Koa had so much to offer from a water park, pool, atv rentals, bike rentals, horses, and fishing. The only things I had a complain about was the shower walls and curtain were dirty, the baby pool walls were stained so it looked dirty, and the bathrooms were dusty. I know some things are harder to clean with so many people there so its not to much of a big deal.

Great place even for senior couple. Breakfast good & staff friendly. Needed another laundry to be open. Had reservations back to back (507 3 nites & 508 2 nites). Easy move other than 508 didn’t leave til 12:05. Maybe need to remind at checkin what time checkout is. Had one small issue I will write a letter about.

We were only able to stay a couple of nights, but wished we had the time to spend several more there. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Great place to stay and centrally located.

Great activities for kids and adults alike. Spots are extremely flat, easy leveling and hook up. Concrete pad with table and chairs, swing, and grill at our site and most we could see! A few downsides - horse stable near restaurants =‘s manure smell and flies everywhere while eating outside. Pool was very cloudy - could not see our feet in 3’ water.

We dry docked for the night since they are closed for the season. This KOA is very beautiful with deer coming right up to the front door.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nites, and it was Phenomenal. A beautiful Resort atmosphere and even though it was at the very end of the season, every one there was very helpful and especially Becky. She is so knowledgeable about the area. I worked for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and I would hire here in a heartbeat to work with. KOA is very fortunate to have employees of this caliber.

This KOA is in a perfect location and would love to stay here again. We rented a glammed cabin which is just a upgrade from their simple cabins but well worth it in my opinion. Your cabin already comes with bedding, a mini fridge, microwave, outdoor grill and table and chairs. You have a beautiful view of the woods and the campground itself has so many activities. You're right in the middle of the black forest, custer state park and Mt Rushmore. I will definitely be staying there again.
