We had a great time and are coming back next year. Everything was nice and clean. The only thing is more ice you ran out and your pizza shop needs to cool the pizzas longer.

Originally I thought we had been given a spot with full hook ups, but there was no sewer. They were able to switch us to a better spot, but we had to pay an upgrade. It’s a great place for families with kids as there is a lot to do there. Extended stays would be worthwhile.

First time staying at a RV park, so we were a bit overwhelmed. A bit crowded, but it’s a great setup. Some amenities need some attention like the showers need a good drain cleaning and mold removal and the pool walls need to be scrubbed. Staff was warm, welcoming and super helpful.

We had a great family trip.

Bigger is not always better. Not my taste to be squashed in like sardines. Spots up the hill impossible to level. On plus side, staff was awesome. I appreciated the food choices onsite, and shuttle to Rushmore lighting. Location is ideal for sightseeing the area.

Very nice, large RV Park. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Lots of activities and very close the Mt. Rushmore Memorial Park. Some of the pull through spots are very tight.

My family needed somewhere to stay in an emergency situation, even with the Sturgis Bike Rally going on & everything being booked up, they got us into a camp site immediately & we were able to stay a few days and relax instead of stress and panic that we had no where to go. Everyone was a tremendous help & very nice! We recommend staying here to anyone & will be definitely back someday.

No cable on our site, no wifi ,sites are very close together.

Disappointed that we didn’t full hookups like we had requested. Bathrooms/showers on far end of the campground were not maintained well.

Site was terrible and seems they could have repaired the huge gully to get into site. Otherwise all good.

Best KOA I’ve ever stayed at!!! Truly impressive!

Will always come back every year! Been here every year since 1998! Always willing to accommodate us even when the trucks break down! This year it was during the busy Sturgis weekend! This is our favorite KOA we started coming here for all the kids amenities they have. Now we come for the adult relaxation! Even the dogs love their mountain walks! Cant wait to see the finished renovation next year!

The guys outside of registration were not helpful at all. They should have driven their golf carts to show us our site. They just pointed in the general direction.

My daughter loved it! Great activities for kids. We did all-you-can-eat pancakes one morning. Wonderful. If we come back to this area camping we will definitely come again. Have a great rest of summer.

Great place, awesome views, and it's so close to Mt. Rushmore. The staff is great, very friendly. Definitely would like to go back 5 out of 5 stars.

This place is crazy big. It’s like a small city. However, the site we were in was not much to speak of for the price we paid. In witch case I have to assume we are paying for the vast amenities at this place and not so much the camp site. Which is a bummer for those just passing through to see the local sites with no time to utilize the amenities. Great location but you pay for it.

Check was so easy, campsites were clean and comfortable!

Never Again!!! Traveling with my father 78 years old and my husband who is a disabled veteran, the site we were give was so unlevel that we had to create steps to get into our 5th wheel camper (Not very safe but it was the best we could do). They advertise that they have cable, they DO NOT. There is a limit on characters for this comment so I cant finish.

Very disappointed in lack of Internet and cell phone service. We needed to go to Hill city or Custer city to get Wi-Fi signal. All other amenities were very good.

we come back every year because we feel welcome and the service is great. Also the amenities are the best.

Amazing campground, tons of amenities, friendly staff!

This was a great location and there was a lot to do. There weren’t enough bathrooms (our area bathrooms were the ones for the pool as well so they were always full and dirty). The camp is maintained well but the sites are extremely small in the main RV field. If you have a small camper and sign up for just electric/water, be sure to try and request the woods as it looked really nice in compariso

GREAT activities for families. Great location. Pretty setting. The only negative would be the lack of cell service and wifi.

Very lovely staff, nice people. Much larger and busier than we anticipated, however we were in a very nice place tucked away in back so it was less chaotic. The cleanliness of the showers was a problem. My husband's shower was packed with mud. Mine had a lot of dirt on the floor outside the showerpan and the drain clogged so water was ankle deep. Extra hooks on the wall would be helpful.

You don't even give me enough room to leave all my comments, so let's just say I was not happy with the campground at all.If you would like to call me and get live feedback .

It is a huge disadvantage that there is no internet, telephone service. Have to drive almost to Custer to get any service. I still work and could not contact clients. Horse back riding was wonderful.

We actually stayed here: Custer / Mount Rushmore / Black Hills KOA Holiday. Not sure why this one came up? Excellent staff and facilities!!!

amentites: kids paradise, centrally located for attractions, very busy place for a reason. If pool would have been warmer, adults could reclaim hot tub. bathrooms are heavily used but found them cleaned regularly. If wi-fi would have constantly worked it would have given 5 stars

Internet wifi connection didn't work so well, but the KOA Palmrer Gulch Resort is a great place for a family especially for pre-teen kids. Lots of interesting wholesome activities on site, besides the multitude of activities available in the greater Mt Rushmore area, including the Badlands. We were impressed with the politeness of the kids (campers) at the waterslide, respectful, happy kids.

The sites were very well Kept and neat! Plenty of room.

Bathrooms were continually disgusting and dumpsters overflowing. Registration desk was wonderful!

Clean and nice, very friendly staff. Would be nice if you could improve your WiFi.

Clean, friendly, lots of activities available

Good place to stay can get a little crowded. wifi is terrible.

We stayed in a 1 room camper cabin. We are a large family of 7. I was a little disappointed we were placed in a cabin pretty far away from all the activities and even the bathroom. The site had very limited space, which was frustrating. We seen several cabins that were open closer to activities and bathrooms, that were not even in use. It would be nice to actually have the option of choosingcabin.

Everything was amazing! Kids loved dance parties at night and Rick wall!

My family has stayed at the Palmer Gulch KOA many times, but this trip was just for my son and me as a HS graduation Dad/Son trip for him. We spent part of a week biking on the Mickelson trail and the KOA was a welcome site after each of those long days in the saddle. Your campground has been a favorite of ours for over 20 years and I'm confident it will be for at least 20 more. Thanks!

Loved the pancake breakfast, ice cream, and coffee shop. We also had an issue with our RV jacks not retracting and the maintenance staff was super helpful in getting us back on the road again. Highly recommend and wish we could’ve stayed longer than one night!

Really enjoyed our stay, the only downsides i saw was the distance the bathrooms were to most of the campsites....they were all right next to trailers/RVs that have their own bathrooms meaning we had to drive down every morning/night to go that bathroom. The baby pool was nasty looking, just get rid of it. Too many wasps at campsite to eat/cook. Kids enjoyed amenities.

We dry docked for the night since they are closed for the season. This KOA is very beautiful with deer coming right up to the front door.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nites, and it was Phenomenal. A beautiful Resort atmosphere and even though it was at the very end of the season, every one there was very helpful and especially Becky. She is so knowledgeable about the area. I worked for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and I would hire here in a heartbeat to work with. KOA is very fortunate to have employees of this caliber.

This KOA is in a perfect location and would love to stay here again. We rented a glammed cabin which is just a upgrade from their simple cabins but well worth it in my opinion. Your cabin already comes with bedding, a mini fridge, microwave, outdoor grill and table and chairs. You have a beautiful view of the woods and the campground itself has so many activities. You're right in the middle of the black forest, custer state park and Mt Rushmore. I will definitely be staying there again.
