Very nice facility. Nice patios and grass area for our use of space. The procedure for checking in was great, pull into entrance, park and go inside to register. Then pull thru to your space. The folks helping with that were very nice. Maybe better signage as you approach the entrance coming from the Hill City side. We almost missed it.

Location excellent. Center roadway had Many holes. No excuse that this road is not repaired, especially when youhave equipment. Not pleasant greeting when I was told that I owed $21.50 for my dog for 1 week. I refused to pay. All members of the group that did pay were given credit. KOA stands for Keep On Adding. Excellent example.

It might be a place to stay during peak season, but not after Labor Day. Three stars for location, the site and full hookups all worked. The only thing open to us was the main store, ATV rentals, a laundry, a restroom/shower. All else was closed. Laundry room not cleaned once during our 4 day stay. All questions were answered with oh no we close soon. More options close by for less. Disappointed.

The campground was nice, the spots were spacious and clean but the bathrooms were really bad - I was glad to leave just so I didn't have to take another shower there. If it were not for the showers appearing to be so dirty (shower walls were dingy with mineral stains, wads of hair on the floors, trash and empty shampoo containers on floor, etc.) I would have given your park the best rating.

No bathrooms in cabin area,no steps, only the road for walking, most shops not open , no pool, late opening at lodge- 8am, yet we still had to pay full rates

We arrived on Labor Day weekend. There were several things within the park closed...horseback riding, the restaurant/bar, water slide, the pancake breakfast, the little shops. We chose this place because the last time we were there (same time of year) it was fun. Lots to do within the park. The park needs repairs and updates. OVER PRICED We will not come back.

Stayed in a tent for 2 nights. It was several blocks to walk to the restroom and showers from the tent campimg area. I noticed that the Class A's with showers and toilets were all around the restrooms. It is a good place to camp but a port-a-potty in the tent area would be appreciated.

Tight, tight spaces. Great for families, plenty to do for children. Beautiful gift shop, and friendly staff.

Internet connection very poor. Did not work most of the time. Unable to plan for trip/place to stay the next day. Bathrooms just so so. Felt like sites very very close together.

Most amenities were shut down for the season even though 10 days after Labor Day weekend. Extremely large campground ran like a resort and trying to get you to rent ATV’s or vehicles. Great location to explore Mt Rushmore and surrounding cities. Don’t know if I would stay here again. Had a pull thru site.

Campground was very convenient to everything we wanted to do and see. Men’s bathroom was dirty the whole 3 days we were there. And the sites had standing mud which was bad. Shouldn’t have to park in mud. Improvements needed.

Great pull through site and access to bathrooms and showers. Bathroom toilets could be cleaned more often and one shower could not get hot water and another needed shower head replaced. Showers had mildew and stains so could use some renovation. It was good to have convenience store, propane service and trash pickup Good location central to the Black Hills area.

Many amenities unavailable after Labor Day. Understandable but website should explain that. Very disappointing

The campground was very nice. But all activities and shops had already closed for the season. Staff was friendly. Laundry was very messy, trash cans overflowing.

Great place! So close to the things we wanted to see! Very clean and staff was great! We stayed after Labor Day something’s closed but so enjoyed it there. Could of stayed another week. If I was to mention one thing is the internet is very slow and no cell but not a big thing really because you get both at Keystone or Hill City! Would totally recommend this KOA

Very nice park, well kept and tidy. We came second week of September and all the shops, pools except the Turtle Shop were closed. The biggest negative for this park, is there is Zero phone coverage and zero internet. If one needs either this is a BIG problem.

very nice campground!

the sites are just to on top of each other could hear our neighbors clear as day

Staff was friendly & professional, however it would have been helpful to know that there was basically no internet or cell service. had 4 parties in our group & needed to communicate with them before we got there, could not understand why they were not responding. Also in the weeks ahead of our stay the lodge didn’t answer phone. Also charged summer rates but fun activities closed.

We normally love this KOA and have great reviews. However, this year we stayed 3 nights and the comfort station #3 was never cleaned during this time frame. Also, our kabin had a broken screen and a door that did not seal all the way. All of the extra amenities were not occurring due to staff levels, which is understandable, however, the cleaning of the comfort station should have been a priority.

It was truly amazing!!! We plan on coming back next year!!!

Cabin and facility was great. Would improve shower experience by replacing showerhead and shower curtain.

Lots of great amenities that were not open during our stay. Our camp site was nice and quiet. Our night was interrupted by very strong wind gusts that took the rain tarp off our tent. Make sure your tent is well secured.

Really nice KOA. Sites are a little small.. I would happily pay more if the sites were larger and you put in more patio sites. But I also understand the need to have a lot of sites. but it was really tight with a large 5th wheel.

Nice location but the shower room and laundry room were dirty.

Great tent spot, firewood, showers, towels, pizza & ice cream, awesome outdoor games, friendly and helpful staff. Thanks so much!

We stayed here September 9-17. We were disappointed that so many of the amenities were closed and not available. There are many campgrounds in the greater Mount Rushmore area that we could have stayed at but chose this location due to the amenities. We were not informed prior to our stay that so much of the campground would not be available. Yet you charge the same price as if they were open.

Tried to imagine how nice it is when everything is open. But the cleanliness of the bathrooms left much to be desired and would be worse when its more crowded

What a disappointment! At check in there was a line of 10 with 2 employees helping while 3 others stood behind them just talking. We checked into our cabin & had no power - got that fixed. The toilets & showers were only cleaned once during our 5 day stay & that happened when we complained. They were disgusting. The campground was dirty & messy & staff didn’t seem to care. Please fix this!

Disappointing. The best thing was it’s vicinity to Rushmore. Sites were nice. Showers were luke-warm at best. After letting office know nothing was done.Restrooms were not cleaned for days. Trash around the park. Even though park was near full restaurant and pool were closed. After complaining we were given 10% refund. Office staff had a “can’t wait to close” attitude.

Very nice and spacious sites restrooms and showers were very nice and clean with plenty of room

The sites were too close together and there was no WiFi,tv signal, or cell signal. Almost impossible to plan for the day without info on weather or even to see which sights we wanted to visit. Park laundry near us was closed. Restaurant was closed. Unimpressed when compared to many other KOA stays we have had.

Everything was really nice except having a dog charge per day is ridiculous. I pick up the poop and take care of my dog. I would give you a rating of 10 if it wasn’t for the dog fee.

Beautiful grounds. No cable, no WiFi reached us and no cell service - as tourists WiFi would be nice to plan for weather etc. Disappointed that everything was “closed for the season” mid Sept at this Holiday KOA. We couldn’t even rent pedal bikes. It was a hit or miss on friendly staff at front desk. RV spots were full so would make sense for them to end the season when they close the end of

Wonderful, amazing place to stay. So close to Mt. Rushmore!!
Sep 19, 2021
Nice facility. Phone service and WiFi very poor. Intermittent if any service. If you want phone or WiFi service I would recommend somewhere else.

Everyone was very helpful and enjoyable to work with. Lots of things to do. I was very disappointed that there was no where to leave our recycling. We had to bring it home.

Need stronger wifi

Very excellent campus! Lots of activities, though, mostly closed/unavailable after labor day. Bathrooms and kitchen area are a bit of a hike from the tent sites and cabins.

We dry docked for the night since they are closed for the season. This KOA is very beautiful with deer coming right up to the front door.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nites, and it was Phenomenal. A beautiful Resort atmosphere and even though it was at the very end of the season, every one there was very helpful and especially Becky. She is so knowledgeable about the area. I worked for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and I would hire here in a heartbeat to work with. KOA is very fortunate to have employees of this caliber.

This KOA is in a perfect location and would love to stay here again. We rented a glammed cabin which is just a upgrade from their simple cabins but well worth it in my opinion. Your cabin already comes with bedding, a mini fridge, microwave, outdoor grill and table and chairs. You have a beautiful view of the woods and the campground itself has so many activities. You're right in the middle of the black forest, custer state park and Mt Rushmore. I will definitely be staying there again.
