The roads needs the pot holes filled in. We had no cell service. We got there on September 6th and the Tap Room was already closed for the season. We were in a 40 person tour group so it would have been nice to be able to eat there. Was looking forward to a trail ride and the stables were already closed. Disappointed that most of your amenities were closed. On the up side the views were beautiful

Everyone was friendly. Central to a lot of great attractions. Mt. Rushmore, Needles Highway, Spearfish Canyon. The list goes on. Campground was very clean. We enjoyed our stay

There was no Wi-Fi telephones not working None of the restaurants were open There was a very nice gentlemen that gave me several rides (I had just had surgery)I believe his name was Jim also the lady at the car rental was exceptional other than that we felt as if we were stranded

Huge facility with several amenities! Unfortunately we were there during the end of the season so a lot was shut down. The bathrooms were very nice. However, we were there three nights and two days and they hadn’t been cleaned! Thus the 4 stars …

Camp site was clean, well kept. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend this site as a great place to stay.

So jam packed in. There were 2 accidents While we were there. Not enough room for those with cars and campers. Hated it.

We stayed here for three nights. We were assigned a campsite that only a billy goat could get into let alone a 38' RV and we were supposed to have a premium site. When we requested another site, they acted as if they were going out of their way. The second site was in the middle of an RV parking lot which was tight. It was close to the attractions but it wasn't worth the aggrevation.

Very dirty bathrooms, laundry and showers. Staff not knowledgeable about questions on surrounding area. Brochure gives wrong times for Mt Rushmore lighting ceremony. Site was dirty with trash on ground. Don’t go after Labor Day as almost everything closed at the KOA. Disappointed in the stay. If not for closeness to Mt Rushmore we’d give it a lowest rating possible.

The facility and environment at this KOA campground are great. Location is very convenient. The only thing we hope to be better is the accessbility of wifi.

It would have been better if we could have camped with the other party we came with. KOAs do not seem to be very accommodating about doing that

Nice park but bathrooms difficult to reach when on the outside rows. Showers were not that great.

1. Sites in almost the entire row are below grade. Left hand front was a six foot long mud hole which could not be avoided. Asked neighbors and it hadn’t rained for a week. More than enough time to fill with gravel. 2. Speed limit is 10 mph yet the blacktop roads on both sides are like freeways. Seldom did anyone do under 20 to 30 mph. Even some KOA staff were driving well above 10mph.

So disappointed with the Mt Rushmore KOA. $3/day for a pet that stayed in the RV is outragest. We pulled into our site about 3 PM, there was a bag of trash next to our site that smelled of dog waste. Our site had no way to secure the sewer hose. It rained while we were at our site so the dirt roads turned to mud. It seems like there could be an investment in upgrading the park.

Personnel helpful. However, site very small so could not park towed vehicle in gravel unless extending into roadway. There were multiple piles of dog waste in grass when we pulled into site 177. Wifi signal substandard, extremely problematic when no cell signal available. Water pressure low. Not the experience we've come to expect from KOA.

Parking spaces are short and difficult for larger rigs and leave little room for tow vehicles. It’s a mud hole when it rains, pot holes, etc (need more gravel). On the good side, convenient to local attractions, clean restrooms, nice central office/gift shop. Everyone was friendly. Good for families with kids during the season with all the attractions, but we liked the quieter off season.

Would be a 5 but no cell service and poor internet. Nice resort otherwise. Sites a bit tight. We were part of a group and were supposed to be together but were split up, not what the group leader was promised.

Great place to enjoy the mountains. It offers so much to keep us Happy Campers! So close to see Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse monuments. It offers a center location to all the great towns for shopping and restaurants. We will stay here again. It met all our needs and then some! Great Resort!

Clean campground, as off season most everything is closed after labor days. The KOA ambassadors took our camp chairs while we we gone for the day, thinking we had left, we were able to retrieve with some effort

I NEVER had to complain about a KOA , I’ve always been very happy!! But this place seemed like, “ Get them in, get them out” how many people can we flip. The bathrooms/showers need a lot of repairs.. was absolutely disgusting and dirty, our “deluxe” patio site had 2 broken chairs, a gas grill that was disgusting and dirty, the site itself had garbage and items left behind from previous c

It's a nice place. I was a little disappointed in the cleanness of the showers. I couldn't get full hookups, my fault, I called late. But they weren't very clean. The location is nice and you have a nice main store.

Beautiful RV Resort! Very friendly & accommodating staff. We've already shared pics of this RV Resort with our friends so that they will add this place to their "go to & stay campgrounds" in the future.

Overall, a nice place to stay. Beautiful scenery. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Great for families/kid friendly. The only downside was limited or no wifi/cell service. We would definitely stay here again.

After a rainstorm, the paths are very muddy, and difficult to negotiate a path to the shower/restroom.

No clean bathrooms. One day i went to shower. Inside the room for shower on the bench. There was a yellow brochure and used napkins. I went the next day. 24 hours later Same garbage was there.

We dry docked for the night since they are closed for the season. This KOA is very beautiful with deer coming right up to the front door.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nites, and it was Phenomenal. A beautiful Resort atmosphere and even though it was at the very end of the season, every one there was very helpful and especially Becky. She is so knowledgeable about the area. I worked for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and I would hire here in a heartbeat to work with. KOA is very fortunate to have employees of this caliber.

This KOA is in a perfect location and would love to stay here again. We rented a glammed cabin which is just a upgrade from their simple cabins but well worth it in my opinion. Your cabin already comes with bedding, a mini fridge, microwave, outdoor grill and table and chairs. You have a beautiful view of the woods and the campground itself has so many activities. You're right in the middle of the black forest, custer state park and Mt Rushmore. I will definitely be staying there again.
