I was disappointed to find our cabin as dirty as it was. The bathroom fan had so much dirt and debris not sure it vented much. The blinds were filthy, I started to clean them with my clorox wipes in fear of germs that linger. I ran out way before I could get the job done. Great place, so much to do and the shops/restaurant were nice. WE were in a deluxe cabin and had significant trouble logging into WiFi and staying logged in. Perhaps a few more router to increase access. It was our only complaint as it made contacting us in emergency very difficult.

Loved the activities. The prospectors tent breakfast was good. The cable tv (to our cabin) was turned off due to construction, which was a bummer. It was very crowded and probably too many people for my taste. But my son loved it.

Zero instruction was given to us at check on what to do with garbage, or on site amenities available such as renting bikes or UTV's, where to do laundry, where to buy firewood, etc. Overall we had fun and will plan to return, but will be doing things differently to ensure a better stay now that we are familiar with the property and policies.

Biggest problem rented a cabin mattress was so worn out like sleeping on nothing. Also squirrel has made it's home under the cabin and inside the walls so it was impossible to sleep. Told the staff they said to bad. Water in the pools was brown shower houses dirty and way to over crowded.

Loved all the things to do. My kids, ages 15, 12&9, were in heaven. My only complaints is the WiFi as everyone else has mentioned, trash near a bathroom/shower station overflowing onto the ground for 3 days before it was cleaned up and that same station had its laundry services closed for the season. Great place to visit Mount Rushmore, amazing location, beautiful background to wake up to. Luke warm showers left much to be desired, but all in all a lot of fun provided for the family.

The “resort” as a whole is wonderful and provided an overall good experience for our family of 5! Great variety of activities/ events for all ages. That said, the lack of dining options and last minutes temporary closure of restaurant / pub was inconvenient/ frustrating.

This KOA had everything very big plenty of things to do for kids. Horse back riding very close to mt Rushmore. My cabin was good except they need to put new screens the mosquitoes ate us up.

We had another great stay at KOA-Mount Rushmore. We stayed 5 nights and had a blast. Again thank you. The only thing we noticed this stay was that the bathrooms in the evening became a little icky and needed a little better attention.

Perfect for families with kids of all ages!!! We've stayed in nearly every option available over the past 20+ years! This time we brought 3 granddaughters and they L9VED it here and spoke of bringing their kids when they grow up! Thanks for having so much to do! Adventures Everywhere you look... :)

Everything was amazing and great! The only recommendation I would have would be to change our the shower curtains more often. We will be back with more family and friends!!

we really enjoyed our stay. Everything met our expectations expect when we went to turn in our key. The lady at the desk did not acknowledge us and was somewhat rude. It was a very poor way to end our stay.

Stay was fun- only downside is that as adults, we pay a resort fee and yet are stuck with little kids in arm floaties in the hot tub kicking in your face swimming. They need to be banned from hot tub. Plus hot tub needs to be actually hot and not lukewarm- parents are clueless and just stand there watching their kid kick around in ppls faces. Lame.

We love Palmer Gulch but disappointed this stay. Major maintenance needed! The turf cover on the mini golf and the clubs are totally ruined, the water slide is filthy with black marks from the mats slowing the rider down, the pool was cold and dirty, our cabin was very dusty with a towel and pillowcase left behind the couch from a previous renter. But the trail ride & chuckwagon was fantastic!

The only issue I had was the lack of WIFI. The main reason we booked the deluxe cabin was that WIFI was advertised as included. Until the WIFI is stable you should not advertise that it is included. This was not just for entertainment. A child with diabetes who’s devices utilize WIFI to work was the reason we opted for the deluxe cabin.

I loved everything about this place other than the lack of WiFi. Co Info from out of state & was not able to download maps till I was out of the campground was a bit frustrating. When we inquired about this, they said they do have wifi but so many guests are on it, it’s nearly impossible to join. I didn’t need it to surf the web, I only needed it to download maps and make phone calls.

First cabin was right next to someone with 2 dogs outside barking so moved us to a cabin in different area. Accommodations were nice but nothing fancy for $130. Should have gotten a room at lodge with A/C and bedding since we're on a motorcycle. Liked the pancake tent for breakfast. Enjoyed icecream at the little icecream shop there. Nice restrooms and shower facilities.

Disappointed that television didn’t work in our cabin and the staff didn’t tell me upfront. Main restarauonot in operation and wasn’t disclosed either. These should be discussed or reduced pricing offered.

This KOA is perfectly located & has great views. A lot of guests were complaining about bad/no WiFi but that is ok. We were there to visit the surrounding area & be outdoors. Also, we had to leave early due to a family situation back home & to my surprise, I was refunded the last night. The restaurant was not open this season but they had a snack bar w/ great food options.We would go back!!

Our family had an awesome stay. We loved all the activities that were available in the fun zone. We enjoyed all you can eat pancake breakfast. It was really neat to see the horses in the morning and at night as they were going back to the barn. Give this KOA a double thumbs up

Staff was extremely friendly and there's lots todo for the kids. But the bathrooms were awful. Black mold and mildew in every shower and the bathrooms were far away from the cabins- having to either trek down a steep hill or go around a long way on the road (no parking at the bathrooms so driving isn't an option).

They could use the resort fee and do maintenance on the mini golf course. Showers were cold every morning. A lot of fun things to do. Rodeo was alot of fun. They need to reinvest and up grade some of the comfort station showers.

KOA itself & staff were Great!!! Parking for the four cabin group around cabin 264 is HORRIBLE!!! For a motorcycle it is DANGEROUS! And for a car it’s nearly non-existent! I honestly don’t know if I’ll be back to this KOA, because of parking for those four cabins. I was in 264 & it was the best of the 4. We’ve stayed here several times but I don’t think I’ll chance getting 1 of

there was a repair needed to the handle of the shower in order to get hot water but other than that , the cabin was clean and comfortable. The food choices on site were limited as the grill was not open

We stayed in one of the new glamping cabins. We had a very nice stay. The up grades that were made to the cabin were awesome and we look forward to staying in one the next time we are in the black hills.

We dry docked for the night since they are closed for the season. This KOA is very beautiful with deer coming right up to the front door.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nites, and it was Phenomenal. A beautiful Resort atmosphere and even though it was at the very end of the season, every one there was very helpful and especially Becky. She is so knowledgeable about the area. I worked for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and I would hire here in a heartbeat to work with. KOA is very fortunate to have employees of this caliber.

This KOA is in a perfect location and would love to stay here again. We rented a glammed cabin which is just a upgrade from their simple cabins but well worth it in my opinion. Your cabin already comes with bedding, a mini fridge, microwave, outdoor grill and table and chairs. You have a beautiful view of the woods and the campground itself has so many activities. You're right in the middle of the black forest, custer state park and Mt Rushmore. I will definitely be staying there again.
