Fantastic resort, great location. Only negative was that the WiFi connection was very poor unless you were near the main office.

Love all the activities. However, very crowded at times, water slide is freezing cold, pool was very murky all week and cold, and overall RV sites, are dusty and dirty.

Not a fan! the set up is dangerous... I understand this is a resort, however, the main road that is used for vehicles traveling to and from the main entrance is also used by many children running and crossing to and from the water slide and mini golf or just playing. Please rethink this design! Too many sites and very small, really crammed in.

Great place even for senior couple. Breakfast good & staff friendly. Needed another laundry to be open. Had reservations back to back (507 3 nites & 508 2 nites). Easy move other than 508 didn’t leave til 12:05. Maybe need to remind at checkin what time checkout is. Had one small issue I will write a letter about.

We were only able to stay a couple of nights, but wished we had the time to spend several more there. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Great place to stay and centrally located.

Great activities for kids and adults alike. Spots are extremely flat, easy leveling and hook up. Concrete pad with table and chairs, swing, and grill at our site and most we could see! A few downsides - horse stable near restaurants =‘s manure smell and flies everywhere while eating outside. Pool was very cloudy - could not see our feet in 3’ water.

We were on site #555 which was on a hillside and very un-level and short. Bathhouse was filthy and shower stall had standing water. Sites too close together and extremely crowded. We had to pull into the site from the wrong side to keep our door from opening on the hillside. Site had numerous dips which made walking difficult. Parking was a disaster! Horrible camping experience!

The amenities were nice, but the sites we were in were atrocious. They were unlevel, on a hillside, with no room for our slide-outs, really no where for the family to sit or play, I am handicapped so was really hard with this site being so uneven and on a hillside I couldn't enjoy the trip cause every time I came out of the camper I about fell down the hillside. Other campers felt the same way

Paid dearly for the worst spot we've had in 3 years of camping. A "pull-thru" on a hill in a terraced spot that required 4 layers of 2x6s to level our camper (according to our trusty 2 ft level). When it was time to leave, the terrain and neighboring campers did not allow to pull thru, so we backed up the hill. Site 418 desperately needs to be leveled out before you rent it again. Bring wood!

It was fantastic. The Hot Tub could have been cleaner but I guess the jets were not running that happens. But had a very nice time and plan to bring the rest of the family back someday soon.

Overall all OUTSTANDING visit. A couple quick observations, the speed of the vehicles in the park are not enforced. The rented Side by Sides have total disregard for the 10 MPR limit. We have witnessed a child hit at an RV park by a speeding driver. Many more speed bumps might help. I also had raw sewage back up twice at my site that contaminated my gear. Simple compensation was not offered.

No internet, which there was supposed to be. There was also no cell service. This camp is huge! We were not assigned a space anywhere near our traveling partners, even though we’d requested it months ago. After 45 min a supervisor was able to reassign our location, so we were next to each other. $12 daily resort fee, not used, too crowded! Very congested, a mini city!

Loved all the amenities and great location. Perfect get away for families! Only concern was the cleanliness of the showers.

Shower rooms were routinely dirty. Roads through the campground were full of large potholes. Although they advertise the camp sites to have wifi, it was spotty throughout the campground, except for the main office which was the only place with steady wifi. Although I reserved a pull through site for my bus and tow vehicle, tent sites were located too close to get through. Disappointed.

Really disappointed in the WiFi. I need to take care of business while on vacation and it just does not work here. Everything else is exceptional except for WiFi.

We had a family get together with part of our group from N.D. and part of it from WYO everyone had a great time the kids really enjoyed all the activities we will come back again next year we rode the horses on Saturday at 12:30 for the one hour ride Mayra was a great guide the gal in the back wasn’t as nice to my sister-in-law and grandson who were in back and the horses weren’t listening

Great facility with lots of activities. Our only negative was that the cell phone and internet access was horrible. I know they can’t do much about the cell phone access but their free wireless is not worth much. The only time I could reliably connect was in the middle of the night. If this is important to you, go somewhere else or bring your own WiFi hot spot.

restaurant closed , only one very overcrowded pool when advertises two. Awful food at pizza ice cream place. No wifi AT All! small crowded sites. would never recommend this place !

My family and I stay at the KOA at Mt Rushmore Palmer Gulch for mine and my Brother Birthday we had a excellent time there they had everything that we wanted like if we didn't want to cook Breakfast they had a place to go at the KOA and even lunch to and it wasn't to far from Rapid Spring and the staff that work there were really nice and help full we will totally come back and stay :)

Did not put my friends and I together. We found out at the campgrounds about a lock that would hold our 2 spots together. No one told us that at scheduling.

Our parking spot was a low spot and had mud holes. A load or two of pea gravel would certainly help this situation. Our lawn had a huge dead spot in it. Right where our picnic table was sitting. The place is overcrowded. RVs are parked too close together.

Very please with the resort. Employees were helpful with internal assistance within the resort and helpful with external suggestions for items and items to do outside the resort.

Overall, very good. The trail rides are excellent. Recommendations: provide cable TV, strengthening internet signal.

The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Anthony who helped us move to another site because our camper was too large for our original site. Showers on the West side of the campground need to be updated and kept cleaner. We had some cold showers there and I talked with a few ladies in the bathroom that had the same experience.

We had a wonderful time! The nighttime shuttle to Mt Rushmore was an unexpected activity we learned about at check-in and a really wonderful experience. And the campground was great for our kids who wanted to take part in everything! Very clean place and lots of friendly staff.

We were only there for two days, but the campground was amazing, much more than we expected. The stay was pleasant and fun. The proximity to Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial was really nice, but almost as good were the numerous activities and conveniences provided by the campground.

The single best KOA across all. The amount of facilities and available amenities for families is amazing. One suggestion would be to increase the number of dining options available onsite otherwise the place is amazing.

We dry docked for the night since they are closed for the season. This KOA is very beautiful with deer coming right up to the front door.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nites, and it was Phenomenal. A beautiful Resort atmosphere and even though it was at the very end of the season, every one there was very helpful and especially Becky. She is so knowledgeable about the area. I worked for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and I would hire here in a heartbeat to work with. KOA is very fortunate to have employees of this caliber.

This KOA is in a perfect location and would love to stay here again. We rented a glammed cabin which is just a upgrade from their simple cabins but well worth it in my opinion. Your cabin already comes with bedding, a mini fridge, microwave, outdoor grill and table and chairs. You have a beautiful view of the woods and the campground itself has so many activities. You're right in the middle of the black forest, custer state park and Mt Rushmore. I will definitely be staying there again.
