No WiFi, no cable, and no way to do laundry. They have laundry facilities, but they are closed. This is by far the worst KOA we have stayed at. We are members and have stayed at many. The sites are packed in and are washed out by water and not level. Very low water pressure. We expect more from a KOA especially when you pay a premium price. The only good thing is the location.

Great staff, was able to change reservations on the fly to allow full hookups from just water/electric. Recommend this campground to any traveler due to fact that they offer so much for kids and adults alike

Best Koa we stayed at so far!!!

The only complaint we had was with the camper next to us with a dog. Let the dog go to the bathroom and did not pick up after it. Excessive barking. Maybe keep a few spots for non pet owners together.

Our tow vehicle and 5th wheel did not fit well in site. Second vehicle parked close by. Site was way too small. Neighbor’s black tank line was basically under our patio’a swing. Shower facilities were nice. Fun zone could use more spacing or different spacing between activities; other game balls interrupted our games pretty often. Lots of options for fun but too crowded to relax all the

Kids Enjoyed mini golf, the pool and hot tub, the activities, cart rentals. We used the laundry, showers. Would have liked the restaurant to be open. Staff was friendly and helpful. We saw all the sights of the area. Good trip!

The staff at the bike rental & ATV could have been friendlier. The bathroom was very clean & smelled fresh. We we're disappointed that when we called before we came no one would ever answer the phone, to answer some questions to prepare for a stay there.

Everything was great and the staff was friendly. My only complaint is the lack of wifi on most of the property. They say their is Wifi on the property but it is essentially unusable except next to the general store. A larger pool is much needed but I think they are doing one.

Very busy but it was Sturgis just following our stay. If you like side by sides, motorcycles, and golf carts all over the place this is the place for you! We were not expecting this much activity. Lots of things for the kids, but kids were everywhere. Pool and hot tub were crowded. Very nice fishing pond. If you are looking for a quiet camping experience this is not for you.

Really impressed with all the amenities. The shower house we used is the nicest I've been to.

To many people. No walking lane/path. Water slide needs to be tripled. To expensive, needs a much larger dog park for dogs to run and play. Trails were good but most you had to drive on the paved roads to get to them.

The showers was disappointing because of the mold that was on the walls. Didn't get to use much of the property as we was an overnight guest. But what we did use and see looked like there was many things to keep the kids busy.

We enjoyed our stay at Palmer Gulch. At times, traveled was faster than 5 to 10 mph. And, it would be much more fun to go swimming if the pool waster was much cleaner.

View was great, check in was fast, bathrooms were dirty, wifi was sketchy, restaurant was closed :(

Not sure what this place is supposed to be but it aint camping! Majorly overcrowded. Constant stream of trucks, golf carts, UTVs and bikers at all hours. No wifi or cell coverage, very unlevel “deluxe” site. Kids amenities were either closed, too filthy or too crowded to use. Rude, unhelpful staff. Trash thrown everywhere. A lady had her dog poop in our site then walked off. Horrible, never ag

Absolutely the best! Great location, amenities and wonderful staff.

We had a great time—-so much to do!! It was so good to have a golf cart and be able to rent a car there!!! Lots of food options—Everyone was sooo helpful and friendly. Definitely would stay again!

I would not recommend staying here. It was very crowded, dirty and not accommodating. I have never experienced such filth at a pool before. The water wasn’t even treated properly and my daughters eyes were burning after 5 minutes of swimming. We left. Food, litter and trash was everywhere from the pool to playground to the food areas over filling garage bins. The comfort stations need attention!

Well appointed camp with lots to do.

Dirty pool water, but still a fun place.

We rarely encounter a pet fee with KOA. The $6 per day fee seemed ridiculous when we could not even access the dog park with our little dogs as it was overrun with large dogs continuously. Please consider using the fees charged to clean up and upgrade your dog facility and include a divided area or separate areas for the safety of pets.

Checking in was a breeze. The staff are all very nice and professional. We had our twin grand-daughters with us and they were thrilled with all there was to do here. This by far is the best KOA Campground we have ever stayed with. We will definitely be booking here again. We loved our time there and appreciated how organized and friendly everyone was!

Very nice place to stay ! A lot of things for kids to do and see . We will come back.

Staffing was excellent !very nice place!

Moderate internet in front spaces (130), poor or no service in rear space (383), no cell phone coverage. services and accommodations are terrific. Food was surprisingly good.

Best KOA we have encountered. Lots of amenities, very helpful staff, and continual activity schedule.
Aug 07, 2021
Best location, in the middle of Rushmore, Crazyhorse, and everything else. The family activities alone could keep you busy for days. 3 days was not long enough. Could have spent another night or two to really explore the area properly.

Lots to do at this campground. Great for kids. Laundry near us wasn't open.

Very large campground, close to the Black Hills attractions but sites very close to each other

The pools were gross. They had slime all around the edges. No supervision for mini golf, made it hard to play with kids swinging clubs everywhere. Horse adventures are a must and wonderful! Coffee shop needs more help but was delicious. NO water pressure on the hill for our RV. Great pancakes!

We loved the chuck wagon dinner and horseback riding. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Want to come back next year.

Nice location and staff were very nice.

Kids had a great time.
Aug 07, 2021
We were traveling without kids so didn’t take advantage of all you had to offer. Our only problem was the tightness of the sites and trash and dog poop being deposited in our area while we were there,

It was a very enjoyable stay. We loved the amenities, the scenery, and the camp spots. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the showers. During covid, the comfort stations should be cleaned often. We found bandaids, mold, rust, and general gross conditions in the showers. Even after cleaning teams visited. We understand staffing shortages but you shouldn’t have a full capacity park then.

Very clean and great laundry facilities! Friendly staff!! Would definitely stay here again

Wonderful friendly staff, could tell they all enjoyed their job. Fun at every turn, clean, and a must stop if in the area.

Too much speeding traffic in the park, close spaces and a lot of noise from all of the activities. Maybe a good family park, but not for one seeking a good night’s rest.

It is a very beutiful place to stay
Aug 06, 2021
We had a great stay. There was too many campers for the pool, pillow, and golfing. Also the bathrooms and pool were not very clean, otherwise no other concerns.

We dry docked for the night since they are closed for the season. This KOA is very beautiful with deer coming right up to the front door.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nites, and it was Phenomenal. A beautiful Resort atmosphere and even though it was at the very end of the season, every one there was very helpful and especially Becky. She is so knowledgeable about the area. I worked for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and I would hire here in a heartbeat to work with. KOA is very fortunate to have employees of this caliber.

This KOA is in a perfect location and would love to stay here again. We rented a glammed cabin which is just a upgrade from their simple cabins but well worth it in my opinion. Your cabin already comes with bedding, a mini fridge, microwave, outdoor grill and table and chairs. You have a beautiful view of the woods and the campground itself has so many activities. You're right in the middle of the black forest, custer state park and Mt Rushmore. I will definitely be staying there again.
