Top-notch! Can't believe what it would be like during summer camping season. My daughter and I went in September and it was still nice.

Sites a little close together but fine other wise.

Awesome. Very clean and excellent location to explore the area.

Staff nice… it’s a dust bowl ! They put us in the rodeo area laundry facility not working… Smell of manure everyday Would not recommend

Great place. Great location. Everything we needed and we loved it!!!

Awesome customer service! Got the camp site that we needed!

Absolutely Great campground, especially for kids. Facilities were always clean and convenient. Staff and amenities were outstanding. Thank you for a wonderful camping experience.

Campground very nice but needs gravel on pads and leveling. Location great. Showers bathrooms really nice and clean

Our site was kind of goofy. The picnic table was near the end and the fire pit way behind the site. The site obviously wasn’t cleaned prior to our arrival. There were flossers and lots of cigarette butts. It was a week after the summer shut down so a hike to the showers. Mt Rushmore is very close as are some quaint towns. Polkapalooza was a hoot.

Beautiful park and wonderful staff.

Always a fun time for the adults and the kids. Lots to do for the kids, and the adults can relax. Very clean and we would recommend this KOA to anyone

We enjoyed our stay at the KOA Mount Rushmore. The staff was very friendly and the camp ground was very clean. The pizza was very good too!

Lots to do for kids (big or little) if you come before Labor Day. Great centrally location for all the attractions of the Black Hills.

The bathrooms and showers were very dirty. The showers were extremely disgusting!! Mold and filth in them! Buy new shower curtains just horrible dirty! We were up by the “comfort Station” in space 541. The lot was so small and going down hill. Please fill the pot holes, also. The health department should be notified with how you keep your bathrooms. Front desk people were helpful,

Very nice, clean, quite a bit for kids to do. Quiet nights except for vehicles driving around. Had pizza, drinks, desserts all on site to purchase. Would stay here again. However, no one to help us to the camp spot, which was a pull through. Small spaces for a 42 foot with long box Ford F-350. Loved the rodeo. Heard golf carts and ATV's were a little pricey. Water valve broke. Quickly fixed.

It was a nice campground, we were just disappointed that everything had shut down for the season. Wish they had stayed open until October 1. Second, Our campsite was so small. We have a 30' RV and our spot had a tree so we could not put our awning out. We also could not park our truck there because there was no room at all. Some of the shower heads in bathhouse were barely running water.

This is a nice place to stay if you dont need cell service or wifi they claim to have it but it is horrible other than that it is a great place

We had a great a time. This KOA has a well-positioned location, close to Mount Rushmore, which was our destination.
Sep 13, 2021
The lots were very small and on a incline. The bathrooms were absolutely filthy. There was mold growing on the walls and shower curtains

The sites were typical KOA sized. Ours got pretty muddy after a rain/hail storm. The biggest problem is the lack of technology support. WiFi is weak signal and not consistently available, zero cell service (Verizon and US Cellular), and no cable or antenna reception for TV. The hailstorm created an emergency situation but We had to drive to town to talk to insurance.

Accommodating staff. Plentiful facilities. Private restrooms and showers.

Website lists the amenities at campground with a “BOOK HERE” button. Your website should include “not available at all camp sites” for amenities not available to all sites. Everyone camping around us was pretty disgusted with the false advertising. Staff is aware of these issues and yet sent a repairman to “fix” the cable tv that is non-existent.

Fun place to stay with lots to do. In the heart of it all. Minutes from the monuments. An hour from Deadwood. This place has a water slide and full kids is zone. They have a bar although the restaurant was closed due to labor shortage. The entrance smells like a barn because it is!!! Beautiful horses everywhere!! Did I mention rental side by sides? If you aint here where you aaaatttt?

Website said wifi and cable tv. We had neither plus there was no mention of no cell service until we got there. We cut our stay from 5 days to 3. We will never stay there again and we will advise anyone who asks not to stay there .

Excellent location and setting. We had a very secluded wooded spot which we enjoyed.

My family and I stayed at Mt Rushmore KOA 15 yrs ago. The owners were at that time were very customer friendly and caring. Came around daily to make sure everything was going well and always asking if there was anything they could do for us. This last stay was very different. No caring or concern for the guest. Went through a horrific hail storm never seen anyone driving around to check on guest.

It was just too crowded for us. At one point I counted 23 people's in a hot tub that said it holds 10. The staff seemed to not know it not care about anything that was not directly in their area. The staff in the main building were friendly and the one bubble guy was helpful.

Thought it would be prettier nestled in the hills, seemed very crowded with campers very close to one another.. Disappointed the restaurant and coffee shop were closed but just like everything else during Covid times, we were not surprised. Grounds weren't as well kept as other campgrounds we've seen as we cross country camp. Location good for both Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse.

This was a very nice place great place for the kids to play at we will be coming back next year.

It was unfortunate that many amenities had closed for the season. If KOA is open until Oct 1 then amenities should remain open too. Also contacted via text with no response.

Great location. Nice sites. Customers should be notified when making reservations that all amenities are closed after Labor Day except the wing & pizza place. For that reason perhaps the rates should drop a little after Labor Day.

Site had a mud hole where every RV entry would be, needed gravel. Picnic tables needed updating. Some amenities were closed, I know it was off season but coffee shop would have been nice.

1. Stayed 3 years ago and noted enormous expansion of new sites and cabins but little road maintenance-potholes everywhere. Money is in cabins-not maintenance. 2. No internet or phone service as wifi does not connect to internet. 3.Dryers in laundry need repair and filters cleaned. 3. All children's activities are on main street-both sides. Very dangerous swarming children.

Was a very nice clean place to stay in the beautiful park.

We got stranded here due to mechanical breakdown and they were super friendly and accommodating.

Great location. Regrettably, we arrived after Labor Day so the “resort” amenities were closed already. Seemed odd for a nearly full, very large park.

This is a great campground! Bathrooms are nice, cute little village on site. Very nice location. Beautiful scenery. We loved our stay!

Very cramped spaces. No cellular unless using roof mounted directional antenna. WiFi oversubscribed. Quiet period not honored and heavy traffic on roads.

We dry docked for the night since they are closed for the season. This KOA is very beautiful with deer coming right up to the front door.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nites, and it was Phenomenal. A beautiful Resort atmosphere and even though it was at the very end of the season, every one there was very helpful and especially Becky. She is so knowledgeable about the area. I worked for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and I would hire here in a heartbeat to work with. KOA is very fortunate to have employees of this caliber.

This KOA is in a perfect location and would love to stay here again. We rented a glammed cabin which is just a upgrade from their simple cabins but well worth it in my opinion. Your cabin already comes with bedding, a mini fridge, microwave, outdoor grill and table and chairs. You have a beautiful view of the woods and the campground itself has so many activities. You're right in the middle of the black forest, custer state park and Mt Rushmore. I will definitely be staying there again.
