If you prefer a very crowded noisy campground (lots of kids, dogs, golf carts, bicycles, ATVs) with filthy stinking bathrooms to include showers that have moldy curtains and a trickle of tepid water… this is the “resort” for you!!! You can also enjoy smelling horse crap while sitting outside the dining facility drinking coffee or eating ice cream! But the camp store is well-stocked and cle

Highly enjoyed the resort and all that was available to do. Our only negative comment is the lack of WiFi availability onsite. Other than that, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

great place but we were unable to get cell where we were and WIFI was poor there too

It was great except for our site. I requested a the largest pull through site. We received a none too easy to maneuver site. Our fire pit was almost on the road, in the mud! Way too many sites for my liking, very difficult to see if you come in at night like we did and we’re given the wrong directions. If you like crowds and a to of vehicles, including golf carts/ 4 wheelers zooming by

Basic campsite was good, Bathrooms were clean, showers were very dirty and mold covered. Extra kid activities were nice.

Lot 10 was perfect for tent camping or camping with a small trailer. We really appreciated the 25' depth and the privacy that the position afforded. The children all enjoyed the twice daily running of the horses in the morning and evening with the Wranglers yipping to keep them running. The staff was fantastic, and the facilities were clean. Thank you.

It was great place.. If only we had wifi and internet. We enjoy watching TV in the evening. And being able to call family. Hope they fix that issue.

Everything was great except the hail storm! Very convenient to attractions and very clean

This is the worst KOA I have ever stayed in - filthy campground, filthy showers, moldy shower curtains, non-working toilets, filthy bathrooms, campsites on top of one another, loud parties until 1:30 in the morning (no security to stop them), horse stables next to food places (stinks so you can't sit outside and enjoy your food) - Do not go there - horrible visit.

The only impressive things about this KOA is its entrance & friendly service at check in. It is a very big facility, and very close to attractions but the WiFi is pretty much nil as is cell service so during on-site time our entertainment was the devastating hail storm/damages. Would not recommend if you want to maintain contact with the outside world or have tv programming. Great place for kids.

There are a lot of positive aspects of this campground. My issue is with the WiFi. When I am spending as much as it costs( including a resort fee), the WiFi should be better. There are a lot of campers. So, the service needs to be improved.

Your resort was absolutely beautiful, we really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back,

This campground is the best. We enjoyed watching and listening to all the young families having fun together. So many things to do. We will be back!

Great place to stay!

Enjoyed our stay at Palmer Gultch KOA. Centrally located to several local sites & towns. Also many activities and amenities at the park. Did not like the WiFi reception at all. In this day & age, that should be a critica service to privide. Our stay was well before Labor Day, but many many of the park amenities like the Chuck Wagon meals & restaurant were not available.

Bathroom was sabatoged on daily basis by teenagers. Too many people and sites too close. Due to my own ignorance I didn’t know the dif levels of KOAs. Paid more for a resort for the worst stay ever. No kids, so never will we camp at a resort kOA again.

Loved our camping area. The resort was beautiful. Conveniently located near Mt. Rushmore. Would highly recommend!

In the section where we stayed, the sites were too short and too close together. It rained and there were muddy ruts that never went away in 5 days. To reach the area where we were, it was necessary to drag our fifth wheel up hills with turns and twists. The other side of the park looked better. We would make certain to have a premium site before staying there again.

This is an annual favorite camping trip. Kids love the slide and play area, entertainment was amazing. Even the damaging hail didnt put a damper on things. Excellent as always.

You guys need to get your WiFi figuired out. It was very spotty. With no reception it was a pain in the butt. Other than that we loved it

We experienced a vicious hail storm and cut our stay short to get a new windshield put in our motorhome. We VERY appreciative that we were able to cancel our last night with no penalty. Thank you! This was our second stay there and love this place!

So much to do for the kids but your pool was gross! So foggy could not see anything. The pool is the one attraction my kids look forward to at any campground. Invest in some shock!

Very nice and helpful staff. A very, very big park, with tons of rigs, dogs, kids and kid stuff to do. Not at quiet park, (we did enjoy the DJ/music at the wedding event). The location is excellent. On our next trip we want to attend a Rodeo.

- Issues with internet, not able to connect. + Showers and comfort station great. - Restaurant not opened. - no flexibility on renting ATVs. - Coffee shop opens at 8am, too late.

Our fire ring was in an awful place which made it hard to use. They said they had wifi but it was very weak. It’s an awesome place for kids though and I’d definitely recommend for families. No Verizon service either. Aside from the disastrous hail storm though, we had a good stay.

Thot we’d booked cable, found only for high priced sites. No restaurants open. Very pricey for very little

It was a wonderful stay until the hail storm caused significant damage to our RV and truck.

Very large KOA with activities and places to eat on site. It has mountain views. Be prepared to be very close to your neighbors! We have a 41' 5th wheel and there was barely room for the camper. We had to park the truck in our grassy area so we only had a place to put two chairs. They charge an amenities fee which I didn't agree with, we had NO cell signal, and THEIR WI-FI DOES NOT WORK!

Lack of dependable internet was a real problem, especially since there was no phone service. We had to leave the site to call our insurance company after the catastrophic hail storm. Gravel roads are pot hole obstacle course. Pluses were the laundry, Mount Rushmore at night bus and the snack bar

I loved this campground. The people that worked here are so nice and professional. This was my first time hooking up electricity and water. The gentleman who worked here showed us where to go, stayed and talked us through. He was wonderful. I definitely will be back despite the ugly hailstorm that came through.

We pick KOAs for their level of service and amenities. Given the expense of this campground, I would have expected better infrastructure. The wifi was non existent except near the office and no cable. You need to invest in upgrades of this type. Also need to enforce the rules. Had someone's quad partially parked on our site not far from our door.

Please put more money and effort into wifi, water pressure, cable tv (they say there is cable, but only in a select very few sites, watch the fine print) and training staff. Workers exceeded campground speed limit constantly. Other for rent vehicles speeding around constantly. If you have teens you want to keep busy, there are many activities.

Facilities are really nice. Lack of cell phone service and internet would prevent me from recommending.

Great atmosphere with plenty of family activities. A fun time was had by all.

Our site was unsuitable and UNSAFE for a rig of our ur size. We told the golf cart guide who took us to site but he just said “call the office” which would have done except we had not cell signal or phone number for office. Site was unlevel even after put down over 12” of jacks. We’re extremely lucky not to roll with our car trailer and coach when leaving. Paid for sewer but didn’t get

Friendly people, clean grounds

The website said cable, not, just 7 antennae with poor quality and after a hail storm, only 3 channels for the next 3 days. We were on the road to the shop, everywhere it is posted 10mph but it must not be for the staff. No cell or internet service and may just be my carrier but I'm 2300 miles into this trip and have not had any trouble and have had them for almost 20 years without problems.

We dry docked for the night since they are closed for the season. This KOA is very beautiful with deer coming right up to the front door.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nites, and it was Phenomenal. A beautiful Resort atmosphere and even though it was at the very end of the season, every one there was very helpful and especially Becky. She is so knowledgeable about the area. I worked for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and I would hire here in a heartbeat to work with. KOA is very fortunate to have employees of this caliber.

This KOA is in a perfect location and would love to stay here again. We rented a glammed cabin which is just a upgrade from their simple cabins but well worth it in my opinion. Your cabin already comes with bedding, a mini fridge, microwave, outdoor grill and table and chairs. You have a beautiful view of the woods and the campground itself has so many activities. You're right in the middle of the black forest, custer state park and Mt Rushmore. I will definitely be staying there again.
