Hospitality beyond compare. Clean and I mean clean facilities. Watchful and friendly staff/owners. Best KOA experience ever. Great operation. Our bad luck was to be across from a family playing the same country CD loudly over and over until 10 pm. That’s our sole negative experience here. Proximity to MT Lassen NP is unbeatable.

We had a tent campsite stayed for 3 nights. Staff was very kind and helpful the only couple of of glitches was the weather surprised us for having 32 34 degrees morning in may and wish we had electricity at the site for our air Mattress we had brought. Lessons leaned but we plan to return.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You gave us 4 stars instead of five because of the weather? Or because you reserved a tent site with no electricity. Either way I think you must have missed the magic of our campground.

We loved our stay at the Mt Lassen / Shingletown KOA because this KOA was well-maintained, the store was well-stocked, the heated pool was clean and Inviting, and the site was spacious, level, and shaded. Most of all, Jim and Diana and the entire staff were Very friendly and helpful. They set the standard for how a KOA is to be run.

Now, after staying at the KOA in Crescent City, Mt Lassen KOA is the best of the best. Workers where concerned for your enjoyment of the facility and the park was immaculate. I mean this place was cleaner than clean. All areas were neat and manicured. I would highly recommend them to all. Weather was a bit cold but non the less enjoyed our time there.

This was a one night stay, but the campground is laid out so you feel like you are in a state park rather than a commercial campground. They have a great walking/biking area with a bird watching corner. Very nice!

We were "Wowed" by our stay here! Our kids are grown now but, if they were youngsters, they would have had the time of their lives here! So much for the littles and for the "olders" ;-) too! (I must admit that I had to take some turns at the tree swings.) The grounds were beautiful and there couldn't be a nicer staff anywhere! Doug went above and beyond! Will definitely be back!!!

The park is clean with good sized sites. Lots of activities to take advantage of for the kids.The back of the park is lovely for walking the dog. Everyone is friendly and so helpful. We will definitely be back!

This is THE nicest KOA I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. It is well-maintained, the staff is very friendly and helpful (Jim and Rick in particular!) and so many things for families to enjoy. We stayed in the Log House with our small group of Camp Fire Girls. It had everything we needed to enjoy a weekend of fun and adventures. Thank you!

This was incredible! The Volcano was cool and all, but this KOA is top notch. So many cool activities for adults and kids, very well maintained, incredible place nestled into the forest.

The restrooms were amazingly clean!! I’ve never seen a campsite with bathrooms that nice :) The grounds were also kept in wonderful condition! It was nice, peaceful, quiet, and secluded. I’m a solo female traveler and felt very safe at this campground which was such a blessing to find!

Always have a good time there! The doggie park is fantastic. The workers are very friendly and helpful and the sites are always clean and maintained. I'll be going back many more times during the summer months.

Pristine campground! Beautiful location! Great place for families! The pool was great fun, the lawn was beautiful, the playground was great fun for the kids. Wish we could come again this weekend! Thank you for your amazing attention to detail and for keeping the grounds immaculate!

We LOVE this KOA. The grounds are beautiful and kept immaculate. The owners and staff are always happy, kind and very helpful. We booked another stay for next year and will probably go at least one other time. It’s a great place for all ages and lots of activities and safe for the kids. Book a stay. You won’t be disappointed

This was our first trip in our recently purchased first ever trailer. The MT. Lassen/ Shingletown KOA was recommended by our neighbors. It was a great place for our maiden voyage. Clean, easy site to pull into and setup, employees friendly and helpful. Even met the owner Jim. Wonderful place for kids and pet friendly. We are hoping to have a family camp there next year!

The place is neat, clean , you did not see any trash on the ground . The kids playground equipments are clean and maintained well . We were surprised that the shower room and restroom are so well maintained , no odor smelled. The staffs are nice ,friendly. We are highly recommend Mt Lassan/Shingletown KOA to our friends.

My stay was overall good. The only problem I had was that the wifi did not work, for the most part. I've stayed at other KOAs before and had very good experiences using the wifi. So, I assumed I would be able to use the wifi to complete some online homework and turn in assignments, but the wifi consistently failed to load the webpages I need and I was unable to turn in my assignments.

Every staff person at this KOA was exceptionally friendly and outgoing. Our cabin was very clean and well stocked. Grounds are well kept with many family-friendly amenities. We felt right at home. Great location for day trip exploration of Lassen and Burney Falls area. We enjoyed fabulous sightseeing during the day and relaxing evenings.

Great family park with many different activity areas for kids and adults. Nice, quiet area, good doggy park, great friendly staff, and the best drinking water anywhere. Not a huge park, but a very nice & friendly one for couples & families alike. We have been visiting for a number of years and seen it continually upgrade over the years. Highly recommended KOA.

This is the best. Plenty of room, level sites and a wooded area to walk around in. Easy driving distance to the National park. 3 miles to Shingletown with well stocked stores.

The large cabin was very well stocked, comfortable and quiet! The kids wandered to and from the park on bikes and played all day. We loved our stay and hope to go back soon.

What a fantastic park! Owners are super friendly and helpful. The park is impeccably maintained. Everything was just perfect. We had a 50 amp pull through site. Plenty of room. The lawn area has so many games: cornhole, ladder ball, frisbee golf as well as lots of balls and regular frisbees. The wooded area had all kinds of walking trails and other hidden gems. Can’t wait to return!

The Shingletown KOA is a wonderful option to staying inside Mt. Lassen NatPark. It's incredibly clean, tidy, and staffed by incredibly friendly people. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely love this KOA! Jim his wife and staff are so amazing and accommodating. They are always paying attention to all the campers and their needs with a smile on their face. We just got back from our 3rd year in a row camping durning the Halloween theme weekend. It was a blast everyday there is something for the kids and families to do. First night was movie and popcorn night they had the atmosphere perfect. It was a cold night so they had heaters out which made it so comfortable. The second day started with pumpkin carving, face painting, corn hole, bingo, and jump houses. And that's not all they had a tri-tip dinner and costume contest for all different ages, Including the pets! The kids all got to go trick or treating, then to top off the night they had a hay bail rides into the woods. Couldn't ask for a better time! On the last day they had a free breakfast for all campers. Best KOA ever if you ask me. Go check it out yourself you'll be amazed. Thank you Jim and staff
