Great location. Convenient to Creater Lake and surrounding smaller lakes and conveniences in Shingletown. Helpful friendly staff and clean facilities.

The campground was clean and staff super friendly. My children picked this campground as their favorite on our vacation…. We were on the road 3 weeks and stayed at several KOAs over that time. The Friday night movie with popcorn was an excellent surprise for them. Definitely use this campground if you are visiting Mt. Lassen National park- you will not be disappointed.

This park was clean and well kept. The staff was very helpful. They helped me to avoid the fire zone in the path of my travel.

Loved Mt Lassen KOA. Beautifully nestled amongst trees and wonderfully maintained grounds. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. We will definitely be back.

LONG climb up to this park. 30 miles up the mountain from Redding in 113 degree weather...not their fault. No Wi-Fi and no cell service. Cable was OK. It's a good thing we had some DVD's. This park is truly made for the outdoorsy type and not for glampers like us. The scenery was beautiful and the park was very nice with a very nice Kamp K9 for our pups.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Paul, yes we are a mountain campground. Unfortunately you have to go uphill to get here. Limited wifi is indicated on our website, on the map, on the paperwork we hand you at checkin, you were also told at checkin so this should not have been a surprise. Next time go to a hotel.

This campground was clean and friendly. It was very kid and dog friendly. There was all kinds of shade. The only complaint we had was that we tented, and there wasn’t a flat surface in the space (slight but noticeable slant) or anywhere to comfortably park the car(had to just park a little off the drive - no pull in) Overall, we enjoyed it.

Kenneth, your site had a parking space right in front of the site big enough for a large truck. Not sure what you are talking about.

A very nice campground. Sites nicely separated, facilities were very clean, lots of activities for kids. One of the best we've stayed in.

Great place! Best dog park out of 30 nights on the road. Big and shaded and not gravel. Great center space for kids and easy walking trails. Saw an elk early in the am at the bird watching area.. rv sites are level and big, tent sites are amazing. Good camp store, nice people..

Nice location, a lot of trees, many activities in the camp site, basketball court, bike path, volleyball, etc. Super clean bathrooms and shower, tent site is large. Staff are very nice.

Really nice campground but we wound up in probably the worst site. #35. No trees, gravel, tucked between cabin (ac running loudly entire time), event tent and trash cans. The smell of the dumpster was awful. Was definitely not the KOA experience we were expecting.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Site 35 is a full sun site and we are in the middle of a heatwave. The dumpster was not the culprit, it was a couple of our fly traps which we forgot to replace. You made the reservation online, next time please call the store so we can better take care of you.

My son and I went to the pool and I could smell very strong chlorine, though the water was cloudy and dirty. We only put our legs in. My son made some friends while there and swam the next day, when he woke the next morning he was very horse and had a bloody nose. We swim often at home. Otherwise I would have given five stars. Very much enjoyed all the activities, dog park, trails, park for kids!

Not sure what the problem was with the pool. All chemical are checked and adjusted twice a day. All readings are logged. Shasta County makes unannounced inspection visits all season and has given us their highest rating.

Very nice and clean facility, lots of amenities including camp owned pool noodles, balls, games etc. Fun wooded area dedicated for playing with trails, Tree swings, dog park w/agility toys, Just plain fun. Staff was helpful with local activates and things to do and see.

Checking out the campground as my family is expecting to spend 4 days here in August. I rented a luxury cabin with Air Conditioning. It was great. I would highly recommend this campground and these cabins.

This KOA is beautiful, clean, has a friendly staff, cute gift shop, and has a ton of activities. It is a great place to unplug and enjoy nature. It's also close to Lassen National Park. It is everything you expect from a KOA and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit!!!!

The pool is a must with a kid. Everything was clean and well maintained. Staff was super friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the store doesn’t sell alcohol and doesn’t have a bigger food selection.

This KOA has everything--a pool, basketball court, volleyball court, a nice store. The restrooms and all other facilities are clean and well maintained. My tent site was comfortable and convenient. I am already planning my next stay here!

We absolutely love this KOA! Jim his wife and staff are so amazing and accommodating. They are always paying attention to all the campers and their needs with a smile on their face. We just got back from our 3rd year in a row camping durning the Halloween theme weekend. It was a blast everyday there is something for the kids and families to do. First night was movie and popcorn night they had the atmosphere perfect. It was a cold night so they had heaters out which made it so comfortable. The second day started with pumpkin carving, face painting, corn hole, bingo, and jump houses. And that's not all they had a tri-tip dinner and costume contest for all different ages, Including the pets! The kids all got to go trick or treating, then to top off the night they had a hay bail rides into the woods. Couldn't ask for a better time! On the last day they had a free breakfast for all campers. Best KOA ever if you ask me. Go check it out yourself you'll be amazed. Thank you Jim and staff
