We love KOA and this is one of the best! Great place for families. My daughter loved the ice cream social and pancake breakfast and the playground and the pool. Beautiful nature trail with bike trail with lots of hills and ramps. We saw a deer and quail. They have a night hike trail called the cats a trail. All the people were super friendly. Wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed this KOA. The sites are large, many with wooden fences to partially provide privacy. There is a fun walking trail with things to do to keep adults and children entertained. Staff is helpful and goes out of their way to help. KOAs are mostly good and you know what to expect. This one goes way above the norm!

Did not show anything about no tent in RV site policy during reservation. Was put to a tent site which does not have the power required for my need. The employee was helpful but not exactly polite. I can not recommend this stay to my friends and family.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Li, RV sites are for RV's. We allow some sites to have a tent, but only on approval. You were put in a tent site with water and 20 amps of power. Not certain what you were expecting. You were checked in by one of our best... We have not had a complaint against him in 5 years.

This KOA was incredible. There was so much for the kids to do. The only negative was that there was no cell signal and horrible WiFi. It made working on the road very difficult.

My whole family enjoyed our stay at Mt. Lassen/Shingletown KOA. Check in was great. Friendly staff. Site was great, secluded and well maintained. We enjoyed the movie night w/ popcorn on the lawn area, Ice cream social, and countless activities at the park. We didn’t bring our dog, but he would have loved the dog park. Great location to explore Lassen National park and Burney Falls.

The owners and staff were the absolute best. We camped here with our son and family. Best time ever. The kids loved Movie night, ice cream, pancake breakfast and of course the pool.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin and was so nice! The cement patio was really great, no dirty feet. The cabin was super clean and had everything. My daughter loved the trail in the back with bike jumps, she has so much fun. Shingletown KOA is one of the nicest we have stayed at, we really enjoyed our time there. All the staff was super friendly!

We stayed 2 nights (2nd visit). Our only downside was we weren’t able to get a RV site with full hook-ups, but not so bad since you have a dump station we used on the way out. We love how clean your park is and how friendly and helpful your staff was...especially in troubleshooting our AC hook-up in a timely manner in significant heat! We would love to bring our children and grandchildren!

This is the nicest campground we have ever stayed in (and we have been camping for 40+ years!!). The staff are super helpful and everyone takes pride in the facility. It was a lovely stay and we hope to be back soon!

Like the gas bbq, the park entrance lights, the neatness of the entire facility, and my general Gold Standard: beautiful and clean bathrooms (����)! Staff was so friendly and helpful. He helped me add an extra day at the last minute. Only downer, the pressed wood fire logs were a disaster...maybe another brand? Very glad they maintained fire safety throughout the campground. Love you all�

Dogs barking all night long. Hardly sleep at all.

Henry, The dogs and owner have moved. It should not be a problem in the future. I always recommend bringing ear plugs.

We loved the location and friendly staff. The family loved all the amenities ( to include pool, trails with swings) and games to play. The dog park was really clean and big.Wish we had more time to relax at the campground and not so much sightseeing, but I highly recommend Burney Falls and lava tubes nearby. Thank you KOA for our fun camping adventure!

It was an amazing stay. Office people were so awesome. Swimming pool was great for the kids. Dog park was the best we have ever seen.

Employees were super helpful and everyone on the staff was friendly. Our campsite could've had more shade but overall the experience was great. Not only would we recommend to friends but we are definitely coming back the next time we stay in the area.

Everyone was so nice and helpful! They went out of their way to ensure our stay was amazing. My boys (9 and 7) had the best time with all of the activities they had and met so many new friends! We will for sure be back in the near future!

Wow! This was the absolutely best KOA experience we have ever had!!! The staff made us feel so welcomed and we left feeling like we were family. My kids kept mentioning how nice everyone was. We stayed in a Deluxe Cabin and it was perfect for our family. Activities were perfect for my two boys (15&11) Movie in park, ice-cream social, and pancake breakfast! We are so excited to plan our next trip!

It was a busy weekend, being Memorial Day. The only thing I would recommend is to not have the loud generator on the taco truck. It was a great idea, but the noise was too much.

Beautiful setting! Everything was clean and well-kept. It was peaceful and quiet, and everyone was friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful time visiting with our family, and exploring the awe-inspiring natural wonders of the area. Thank you!

We had a lovely time staying at your campground. The only detraction was the street light that shone directly into our tent on T3. We would love to spend next Memorial Day at your campground, but I'd like a different tent site. Thanks for changing our reservation when we had accidentally booked the wrong dates! It was such a relief that you still had availability.

The residents dog next to the camp ground barked all night. Listened to the handler yell at the dog. I did not get much rest in that tent area.

We absolutely love this KOA! Jim his wife and staff are so amazing and accommodating. They are always paying attention to all the campers and their needs with a smile on their face. We just got back from our 3rd year in a row camping durning the Halloween theme weekend. It was a blast everyday there is something for the kids and families to do. First night was movie and popcorn night they had the atmosphere perfect. It was a cold night so they had heaters out which made it so comfortable. The second day started with pumpkin carving, face painting, corn hole, bingo, and jump houses. And that's not all they had a tri-tip dinner and costume contest for all different ages, Including the pets! The kids all got to go trick or treating, then to top off the night they had a hay bail rides into the woods. Couldn't ask for a better time! On the last day they had a free breakfast for all campers. Best KOA ever if you ask me. Go check it out yourself you'll be amazed. Thank you Jim and staff
