This would have been our new favorite KOA, if not for bizarre requests from management in the evenings. Kids asked to leave playground at 7:30 1st night because owner had a headache. No cornhole at 8pm allowed 2nd night because owner was trying to sleep. Store closed majority of the 3rd day leaving us unable to clarify these issues with anybody. Disappointing to feel like our family was a nuisance

Phil, I am the owner and did not have a headache nor was I sleeping. To protect the kids, the posted playground hours are from 8am to dusk. Lot's of injuries after dusk. By the way there is a phone next to the front door. You could have picked it up at anytime for help.

It was great for us but not so great business. We were just about the only ones in the camp good. Nice and quiet. It was vert well keep.

Wonderful, friendly, accommodating staff. All facilities were extremely clean and well kept. We were evacuated from our home due to a wildfire and there was so much to do to keep our little ones occupied and having fun.

We actually ended up leaving early due to wild fires. Staff were fantastic and even gave us a refund! Love the campground and staff. Thank you.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The Dixie fire was 20 plus miles away and from day 1 it was traveling away from us. We had a minimal amount of smoke on 5 days. Otherwise it has been clear and beautiful.

Great as usual. I would say that this campground is the best we stay in every year. Relaxing, forest, quite, clean, beautiful. Camp host are the best. Suggestion to lengthen the step in the pool for us old folks to get in and out. Thank you for all you do.

Campsite was nice and bathrooms very clean the yellow jackets were terrible couldn’t even eat outside hosts are aware and out some traps out but didn’t see any effect — also the national park was closed - would have been nice to have been notified by the park before our cancellation periodCalifornia power shut all power off for the majority of our stay and we were not offered any refund

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We have way too many reservations to try to determine and contact every camper regarding what's going on in the area. Often times we are the destination. Next time please check the local area for this sort of thing. Please do not expect us to call you over what's going on in the area.

Everything about this campground met or exceeded our expectations! The campground was easy to find and gave us easy access to Lassen Volcanic National Park, the personnel on site were friendly & extremely helpful, and our campsite was very comfortable! We would highly recommend this campground to others!

Wildfires in the area made for a quiet campground. Too bad, because this is a gem of a KOA! Loved the large site. Clean bathrooms & showers. Friendly staff. We used the pool & it was fine. There was a lot to do in the area besides Lassen Volcanic, so we kept busy. I recommend!

We arrived a few hours before check in, but the KOA staff was very accommodating. We were able to get on our site and set up. Unfortunately, our voltage was only 101 VAC which did not allow us to run our A/C in the upper 90 degree temperatures. We left the campground early and were refunded for our next day. The staff was great. The campground was very nice. The Metzler Family Geneva, Ohio

This was a very clean and tidy KOA. There are lots of activities including a nice dog play area. The new better wifi signal was much appreciated!

Beautiful setting and nicely kept park with the best wifi we have encountered. You can even play your TV off the wifi. There are walking paths,a nice pool and plenty of outdoor activities.

A very nice KOA! Located a few miles from Lassen National Park entrance. Tree shaded sites. Owners and staff are friendly and helpful, the common areas are clean and well-kept. Convenience store on the premises, full service grocery a few miles away. Our small dog disliked the gravel that covered the ground but we'd definitely stay here again.

Our first time at a KOA and this place was amazing! The grounds and facilities were meticulous, the staff we’re wonderful and we will definitely be making this destination an annual must do!

We loved the campground. Nice grass, nice trees, great playground for the kids, nice pool to cool off in, easy to drive my 33ft trailer through, and finally a nice store. The weather was much nicer than I expected. It's not far from the hot northern CA areas but a little altitude puts you in a cool forest. 10/10 would stay here again and plan to on next years big trip.

Great campground and very friendly staff. They offer a lot of unexpected extras that makes the stay enjoyable. Unfortunately lassen was closed due to fire but the staff pointed us to some great locations we would have never found on our own.

The place was GREAT!!!!! We stayed a week and wish we could have of stayed longer. There is so much to do there. The pancake breakfast was fantastic. The pool was a nice 84 degrees so after hiking all day jumping in that was perfect. The fenced dog area was a great place to let the dogs off leash for a little while. Jim the owner is one of the nicest guys. We will be back hopefully soon!!!!

This park is so awesome we extended our stay. We had to move to another camp spot, unfortunately there was an issue with our trailer brakes. The owners were awesome they were able to get us a mobile Rv mechanic and they kept checking on us during the process. Love this place and will come back as often as possible

Wonderful Family Campground! Immaculate sites! Pristine grounds, with green grassey areas, lost for the kids and kids in us adults to do, too! Pool was heated & clean, the bathrooms spotless, plus there was a large area beyond the camp sites where the kids could ride bikes, play basketball, tether ball, volley ball, & tree swings! We enjoyed a movie night w/ popcorn too! We will be back!

We been here about five times now and this place is a very relaxing KOA. This year they put in a new internet tower in the camp and much better service. Great location with two grocery stores in the area. A very nice camp for a family with lots of things to do in camp.

This is my favorite KOA! Everything was clean and maintain well. LOTS for the kids to do. They really loved the tree swings. Rv sites were large enough to enjoy some space and all had a good deal of privacy provided by fencing between site when trees didn’t do the job. Love the outdoor movie night and wished we stayed for the ice cream social on Saturday.

A great stay! Quiet and well-maintained campground. Wonderful staff. Fun pool and we all enjoyed the movie and popcorn on the lawn. We were sorry we could only stay 1 night. We'll be back!

We always have the best time here! If you can get in I highly recommend it! The people that own it are the friendliest and they make you feel like you are the only person in the park. So accommodating! 100% recommend

Well maintained campground friendly staff. Easy to navigate and has nice trees. We will definitely stay here again. Love the new WiFi here.

It was awesome. Restroom/showers were super clean, pool was warm and clean and they just got 5G. Can't ask for anything better.

We absolutely love this KOA! Jim his wife and staff are so amazing and accommodating. They are always paying attention to all the campers and their needs with a smile on their face. We just got back from our 3rd year in a row camping durning the Halloween theme weekend. It was a blast everyday there is something for the kids and families to do. First night was movie and popcorn night they had the atmosphere perfect. It was a cold night so they had heaters out which made it so comfortable. The second day started with pumpkin carving, face painting, corn hole, bingo, and jump houses. And that's not all they had a tri-tip dinner and costume contest for all different ages, Including the pets! The kids all got to go trick or treating, then to top off the night they had a hay bail rides into the woods. Couldn't ask for a better time! On the last day they had a free breakfast for all campers. Best KOA ever if you ask me. Go check it out yourself you'll be amazed. Thank you Jim and staff
