Really nice campground but we wound up in probably the worst site. #35. No trees, gravel, tucked between cabin (ac running loudly entire time), event tent and trash cans. The smell of the dumpster was awful. Was definitely not the KOA experience we were expecting.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Site 35 is a full sun site and we are in the middle of a heatwave. The dumpster was not the culprit, it was a couple of our fly traps which we forgot to replace. You made the reservation online, next time please call the store so we can better take care of you.

My son and I went to the pool and I could smell very strong chlorine, though the water was cloudy and dirty. We only put our legs in. My son made some friends while there and swam the next day, when he woke the next morning he was very horse and had a bloody nose. We swim often at home. Otherwise I would have given five stars. Very much enjoyed all the activities, dog park, trails, park for kids!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Not sure what the problem was with the pool. All chemical are checked and adjusted twice a day. All readings are logged. Shasta County makes unannounced inspection visits all season and has given us their highest rating.

Very nice and clean facility, lots of amenities including camp owned pool noodles, balls, games etc. Fun wooded area dedicated for playing with trails, Tree swings, dog park w/agility toys, Just plain fun. Staff was helpful with local activates and things to do and see.

Very clean! Loved all the kid friendly activities. Our little dog loved the dog park, and our son loved the pool! We will be back for sure.

This KOA is beautiful, clean, has a friendly staff, cute gift shop, and has a ton of activities. It is a great place to unplug and enjoy nature. It's also close to Lassen National Park. It is everything you expect from a KOA and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit!!!!

The pool is a must with a kid. Everything was clean and well maintained. Staff was super friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the store doesn’t sell alcohol and doesn’t have a bigger food selection.

Great location. Stay at camp and swim in the pool, play some disc golf, and go into town for some pizza or head out to Burney Falls, Lava Tubes and Lassen National Park.

We enjoyed our family retreat with 18 people ranging in age from 13 to 86 for four fun and adventure filled days. All were very impressed with the clean and comfortable facilities, the friendly efficient staff, and access to the great scenic areas of Lassen National Park and Burney Falls. This is one of the finest RV parks we have found.

The Staff at Mt Lassen KOA, Shingletown are the best! From the Hosts to the Maintenance Staff. And what’s more is the cleanliness. The bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities and the whole property are the cleanest I have ever seen! My Family rented a lodge, a cabin and an RV sight. Great CG. Host were friendly, spot was big enough, neighbor were friendly. Lots of families. Did not use laundry or rest rooms. Very close to Lassen NP. Not far from Redding

Only stayed 1 night but there is a lot to-do for the kids. My only issue was the pool, its small and very deep on one end. The shallow end was so packed it was hard for the kids to play and enjoy

The park was well maintained. The sites were nice but a little more rustic than expected. Could use an upgrade on the picnic benches. The power was a little inconsistent when all the rigs ACs were on. Friendly staff, nice lawn area with yard games and a popular pool. Nice store.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our electrical varies at times because of PG&E. However it has NEVER been a problem. Not sure what you mean by we need to upgrade on our picnic benches. They are painted ever year and are in good shape.

I really liked this KOA and would give it 5 stars but the internet was terrible. We like to watch movies outside and internet was down for most of our stay. Also be aware that they do not sell any liquor at the store so stick up before your trip. The cats eye trail was super fun!

We have limited wifi. It is spelled out on our website, on the paperwork given to you at check-in, on the map we provide. Additionally you were told at check-in. So this should not have been a surprise. By the end of July we will have Fiber and a new wifi system installed throughout the park.

Need more full hock up site and WiFi needs to be consistent. Camp grounds are very clean and the spaces are nice and spread out.

The camp hosts and all of the employees were so very friendly and accommodating to our church group! It was our church’s 3rd annual “Family Camp” at the Shingletown KOA and we also booked for next year! It is a very clean and well kept campground; from the lawn area, picnic tables, playground, pool, dog park and walking trails, everything was wonderfully kept!

Didn’t love the kids screaming on the playground at 7am with no one from the park enforcing quiet until 8. Other than that it was clean and did the trick for a night

Wow Elizabeth you were in site 30 which is over 100 yards from the playground. My site is much closer and I am very sensitive to any noises. I know kids you are talking about. They didn't start playing until almost 8 am. and weren't that noisy. However sorry for the inconvenience.

Amazing time. The place is always clean!!! The employees are always very friendly and helpful!!! So impressed with all the things for the kids and family’s to do. This was our third year at family camp and it just keeps getting better. We’ll be back next year.

This is by far the best KOA we’ve stayed at, pride of ownership really shows in how thoughtful and well maintained the park is, tons of stuff to do from frisbee golf to movie night. This is the first 24hr laundry we’ve seen at a KOA and the sites were clean and spacious. We’re already planning a trip back!!! Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

This was our 2nd visit to this KOA and like our first it was great. This park is in a beautiful setting and close to many attractions. The service was outstanding, our site was next to the tent camping area and on our second night a large group came in for a one night stay, a park employee came to our site to let us know and make sure we wouldn't have any issues and we were comfortable with it.

We absolutely love this KOA! Jim his wife and staff are so amazing and accommodating. They are always paying attention to all the campers and their needs with a smile on their face. We just got back from our 3rd year in a row camping durning the Halloween theme weekend. It was a blast everyday there is something for the kids and families to do. First night was movie and popcorn night they had the atmosphere perfect. It was a cold night so they had heaters out which made it so comfortable. The second day started with pumpkin carving, face painting, corn hole, bingo, and jump houses. And that's not all they had a tri-tip dinner and costume contest for all different ages, Including the pets! The kids all got to go trick or treating, then to top off the night they had a hay bail rides into the woods. Couldn't ask for a better time! On the last day they had a free breakfast for all campers. Best KOA ever if you ask me. Go check it out yourself you'll be amazed. Thank you Jim and staff
