We love KOA and this is one of the best! Great place for families. My daughter loved the ice cream social and pancake breakfast and the playground and the pool. Beautiful nature trail with bike trail with lots of hills and ramps. We saw a deer and quail. They have a night hike trail called the cats a trail. All the people were super friendly. Wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

Did not show anything about no tent in RV site policy during reservation. Was put to a tent site which does not have the power required for my need. The employee was helpful but not exactly polite. I can not recommend this stay to my friends and family.

Li, RV sites are for RV's. We allow some sites to have a tent, but only on approval. You were put in a tent site with water and 20 amps of power. Not certain what you were expecting. You were checked in by one of our best... We have not had a complaint against him in 5 years.

Dogs barking all night long. Hardly sleep at all.

Henry, The dogs and owner have moved. It should not be a problem in the future. I always recommend bringing ear plugs.

Everyone was so nice and helpful! They went out of their way to ensure our stay was amazing. My boys (9 and 7) had the best time with all of the activities they had and met so many new friends! We will for sure be back in the near future!

We had a lovely time staying at your campground. The only detraction was the street light that shone directly into our tent on T3. We would love to spend next Memorial Day at your campground, but I'd like a different tent site. Thanks for changing our reservation when we had accidentally booked the wrong dates! It was such a relief that you still had availability.

The residents dog next to the camp ground barked all night. Listened to the handler yell at the dog. I did not get much rest in that tent area.

The gentleman at the desk was wonderful. Tent site had no real level areas for a tent. WiFi was non-existent or very weak. No excuse for what should be a premium campground.

George, you were in tent site T8 which is about 80 feet by 100 feet in size. There are many level areas for your tent. You should have talked with us. We could have helped.

Amazing!! Hosts caretakers everyone was so kind informative very professional. The property was spotless organized. They had so many extra activities going on. My children loved it. I am definitely going back there. And I will let my camping friends know about most wonderful experience we had. Thank you KOA.

This was my first time at a KOA, and it made a very good impression on me. The whole place was very clean, including the bathroom and showers. The campsite was completely free of debris. The people staying there were quiet at night, and the staff were very kind and helpful. My car battery died while I was there and the staff let me use the landline to call AAA, no problems.

I love KOA’s because (with one exception in Oregon) KOA’s are consistently clean, friendly, have some supplies on hand and are located in so many places. Our experience here was no exception. My husband feels the same way and if I am camping alone he feels much better if I am at a KOA instead a public park. We camp in a tent it this was just great as always.

Hospitality beyond compare. Clean and I mean clean facilities. Watchful and friendly staff/owners. Best KOA experience ever. Great operation. Our bad luck was to be across from a family playing the same country CD loudly over and over until 10 pm. That’s our sole negative experience here. Proximity to MT Lassen NP is unbeatable.

We had a tent campsite stayed for 3 nights. Staff was very kind and helpful the only couple of of glitches was the weather surprised us for having 32 34 degrees morning in may and wish we had electricity at the site for our air Mattress we had brought. Lessons leaned but we plan to return.

You gave us 4 stars instead of five because of the weather? Or because you reserved a tent site with no electricity. Either way I think you must have missed the magic of our campground.

The restrooms were amazingly clean!! I’ve never seen a campsite with bathrooms that nice :) The grounds were also kept in wonderful condition! It was nice, peaceful, quiet, and secluded. I’m a solo female traveler and felt very safe at this campground which was such a blessing to find!

The place is neat, clean , you did not see any trash on the ground . The kids playground equipments are clean and maintained well . We were surprised that the shower room and restroom are so well maintained , no odor smelled. The staffs are nice ,friendly. We are highly recommend Mt Lassan/Shingletown KOA to our friends.

My stay was overall good. The only problem I had was that the wifi did not work, for the most part. I've stayed at other KOAs before and had very good experiences using the wifi. So, I assumed I would be able to use the wifi to complete some online homework and turn in assignments, but the wifi consistently failed to load the webpages I need and I was unable to turn in my assignments.

Nice campgrounds but dogs barking close by all night long. Also apparently coyotes fighting in middle of night

Sorry, but off-site barking dogs are not normally a problem. Coyotes fighting is not something we can control. We were notified that the renter with the dogs has moved.

Never being to a KOA before, I was took back. Such clean restrooms, accommodations like a dog park, volleyball, basketball. When quiet times came around, it was quiet. Thanks to power being available, absolutely NO generator noise. That meant not being awaken in the middle of the night by a generator turning on. I am looking forward to staying at another KOA soon.

Amazing staff: super friendly and highly accommodating to the customers and their need. Place is very clean and equipped with lots of fun stuffs to do when you’re with your friends and family.

We’ve been to this KOA in an RV and now, as tent campers. The family friendly environment is awesome and the kids always have a good time. We liked having water and electricity in our tent site and the site was very clean. We stayed in site T6. The owners, Diana and Jim with their great staff, do a great job of making every guest feel welcome. I would highly recommend this KOA.

The cleanest campground we have ever been to. Great pool for your use. And Friday night was the highlight with a movie outdoors under the stars with popcorn. The host Jim and Diana are the nicest people and makes you feel like family. We have been there on 3 different visits and already planning for next summer.

Our stay was perfect as always. Every time we stay at the Shingletown KOA we notice little improvements here and there. This time we noticed the grounds keepers and cleaning staff were being hyper vigilant in cleaning and disinfecting to protect the campers from the China flu. The staff is always nice and helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. My whole family loves the Shingletown KOA.

This place is clean, staff is friendly, lots of fun activities but there are dog that bark ALL NIGHT LONg!! I got no sleep the entire stay;)( I will not ever come back because of this problem

Jennifer, you were here for 4 nights and never approached us about the barking dogs. Everyday I go around and talk with our tent campers and not one other camper heard the dogs. You spent a lot of time in the store and talking with our maintenance man and never brought it up.

We truly enjoyed our stay, the kids had a blast & the staff & other guests were extremely friendly! On our first night my husband lost his wedding band that was also my fathers before he passed not realizing until we got home 3 days later. A kind guest turned in the ring to the front desk to which we are able to recover the ring! Thank you to whom ever you are, & thank you to the staff!

The campground was very nice, bathrooms clean. Kids loved the tree swing. Our spot was small (T3), and felt like an overflow sport, but if I could get a site in the back with the trees I’d come again!

Very nice. First stay at a KOA. Clean & family friendly. Only recommendation would to install more bathrooms near the tent camping areas. (The RV's have their own.) Looking forward to my next visit.

Cleanliness of the camp was meticulous! Bathrooms were very clean. Impressed that the garbage can lids, sides and handles, were wiped down several times a day! The dog park was clean and safe for our furry friends. Pool, lawn area and playground was kept clean as well. The staff was very friendly and immediately resolved any issues that occurred. Fun things to do here!

We had a wonderful stay! The tent site was perfect, a bit of shade. The staff was extremely kind. The bathrooms were clean. The pool was the ideal temp. Even little things were appreciated, such as the very modest prices of necessities and treats at the little store. Very sweet place to camp amid beautiful Lassen.

We absolutely love this KOA! Jim his wife and staff are so amazing and accommodating. They are always paying attention to all the campers and their needs with a smile on their face. We just got back from our 3rd year in a row camping durning the Halloween theme weekend. It was a blast everyday there is something for the kids and families to do. First night was movie and popcorn night they had the atmosphere perfect. It was a cold night so they had heaters out which made it so comfortable. The second day started with pumpkin carving, face painting, corn hole, bingo, and jump houses. And that's not all they had a tri-tip dinner and costume contest for all different ages, Including the pets! The kids all got to go trick or treating, then to top off the night they had a hay bail rides into the woods. Couldn't ask for a better time! On the last day they had a free breakfast for all campers. Best KOA ever if you ask me. Go check it out yourself you'll be amazed. Thank you Jim and staff
