2nd time staying at cabin 173 hoping to set-up a tent for our two kids during this visit as we did during the first. Paid for 2 adults/2 kids. After arriving and setting up the kid's tent on site 173 we were told tents aren't allowed on cabin sites. Had to buy an extra tent site. We relented and the office found a tent site for the kid's tent. We were also over charged!! Not returning after this

The cabin was very clean and nice. The grounds were clean and it was quiet at night. I would definitely recommend staying there! It was minutes from the animal park.

Very nice clean campground. The cabin we stayed in had everything we needed for the weekend. Staff was very attentive and made rounds often to pick up trash. Loved the chickens and the goats. It was in a great location 10 minutes away from all attractions, but made you feel like you were still in the middle of no where.

The staff were great as always. They appeared to be working on their expansion efforts but noise was not a problem while we were there. The weather was terrible but they can't control that lol. The heater provided for our cabin couldn't keep up with the cold so we added a 2nd heater which made it very cozy in our camping cabin. Hope to stay again when the weather is nice.

After traveling throughout the whole U.S.A (and continuing), and staying at numerous KOA’s as a member as well as a guest of friends, I am saddened to say that this KOA had the least friendly and talkative staff. Campground is situated in a lovely spot with easy access from the interstate. Sweet area for a break while traveling. Our pups loved walking the paths. We stayed in a camping cabin which was very neat, and prepared for us despite an unanticipated late arrival due to delays. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in a cabin and the camp ground was wonderful. My only recommendation would be to update the game room games and the park for the children. The staff was wonderful and so welcoming and friendly and answered any questions.

Lovely spot. I’ve stayed there the past few years in the winter. I always arrive after the desk is open, but next year I’ll definitely ask for an extra heater. Also, you should add Venmo on the tip envelope. Thanks!

Great as always! Cabin was nice and clean and we enjoyed afternoon strolls around the campground. Perfect spot to stop while traveling. Enjoyed the holiday nature trail as well! We’ll be back soon.

The one room camping cabin suited our needs for one night. Our toddler had fun exploring the campground, looking for the black cat, finding painted rocks, and just generally having fun. We are looking forward to coming back in the spring or summer with our tent.

We love our stay each visit. This is a very nice and quiet location. They honor military discounts. The cabins are always nice and clean. Affordable firewood being offered in office for you convivence. It's amazing here we always return.

Stay was great, everything was super clean and we had so much fun on their holiday adventure hike! Restrooms were always clean as well as laundry area. The RV sites were large and so clean, they looked NEW!

Mattress cover needs replacement. It had tape on tears. Inadequate heater. Expensive camping compared to motels in the area & other KOA/cabins elsewhere.

The bathrooms, showers and cabin were great; clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. Now the reason for the low rating; management/ownership made excuses and pushed blame to others camper’s scavenging wood and when it was made clear the staff took the wood, thinking we left; there was no apology, the only response I received was how much was left.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You let us know that wood you had left on your porch was missing. I told you that sometimes campers will scavenge wood from sites that they think have left or maybe our guys did not realize you were still onsite. I sent more wood over immediately to replace it. There was no need to be irate over it.

Staff was very friendly and nice! But this isn't a Holiday KOA and shouldn't be promoted and priced as such. There are no amenities beyond a seasonal pool and walking trails. There is 1 new bathhouse, but it's not all that convenient to the cabins while the larger bathhouse is very dated and the stalls are tiny.

This was our first time staying at a KOA. Cabin was very clean, nice outdoor space. Bath house was spacious and clean. All the staff were friendly. We will definitely be back.

We booked this stay a while ago, not thinking Halloween. When we got there and saw that they were doing Halloween, we went and bought decorations. They did a great job for the kids! Contests, games, trick-or-treat. And the staff there is always wonderful (3rd stay). They even lent us an extension cord! Its very clean and they keep adding new stuff. I would highly recommend this KOA.
