First time at the New Bern KOA - and we will be back! Loved the campgrounds and the close proximity to New Bern for restaurants and shopping...we came to shoot sporting clays at Hunters Point in Washington, and we enjoyed the course there...so we have multiple reasons to come back. Also, staff at KOA was friendly and helpful.

Such a beautiful campground right beside the Neuse River! Our roomy cabin overlooking the fishing pond was clean and comfy. The staff and other guests were so friendly and helpful! We visited Atlantic Beach on day 1, the Pepsi museum and historic New Bern on day 2, with delicious nearby restaurants each day for lunch. Dinner is for grilling!

A beautiful campground with wonderful employees. This is one of the cleanest and most beautiful campgrounds to stay. It’s so relaxing and peaceful. Plenty of great restaurants and historical places to enjoy nearby too.

Our site was too close to a tree so we couldn't open our back awning and it flooded due to the heavy rains.

We loved it even though the weather was less than perfect. The only issue I had the first night was the railroad noise. I don't know if they were working on the tracks but the train horns were blowing what seemed like every hour through out the night. Other that that, the campgrounds were very quiet and extremely well maintained and clean. Staff was amazing - we plan on returning!

Easy check in. Escorted to our site. Could see the river from sitting in our rv. Clean bathrooms. The campground was full but you didn't feel like you were sitting on top of your neighbor. Beautiful riverfront with docks and swings. Very relaxing to sit and watch the birds on the river after a day in historic New Bern. Close to historic Tryon Palace.

Our state was amazing. The sites are flat, clean, with lots of room. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful in every way. The campground itself is in a beautiful location with walking paths and swans that were so enjoyable to watch on the lake that the campground is situated on. We unfortunately could only stay one night but definitely will return and this will be a priority location.

Could not have picked a better place to stay for our 11 days in New Bern. Had never been there but were extremely pleased with the friendliness of everyone we encountered and totally enjoyed finding out about the North Carolina rich history. Our KOA accommodations were 5-star and beautifully run. Thank you so very much. It was a nice respite and almost everyday was a day trip to new adventur

We love the New Bern KOA. It's one of our favorite campgrounds. Robin, the manager, is very friendly and makes you feel right at home. Dave and all the other staff are equally as friendly and always willing to answer our questions. We love sitting in the swings by the river or fishing in the pond. It's a great place to unplug and relax.

We had a great stay. The Campground was nice, facilities were very clean and all the staff were very friendly! The staff was very attentive to the all the campers during bad weather.

We really didn't like the camper next door having political flags flying over his rig, front yard & on his outdoor refrigerator which he kept open all day. We think that all KOA's should have a policy that no political flags or signs be displayed. It was very upsetting. Many of the other places we have stayed have a policy allowing USA, Canada or military flags only.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We agree with you 100% and sincerely apologize. It is our policy not to allow any political flags be displayed in our campground. Thank you for taking the time to let us know, we are working diligently to do better at preventing them. We welcome US, Canadian and Military flags.

We got at the KOA at 11:30. I was told by worker you are too early, you can not pay the bill or get to site till 1 o’clock nor could she tell me the site #. Another employee came outside and told us we could come in early if we paid $10. I went back in and told the first woman, we will pay the $10. She said “no”. 5 minutes later another worker told us we could. Bad first impression.

We were very pleased with the location, value, and friendly staff. The staff took the time to talk to us which made the stay a lot more pleasant. Someone was doing something all day which is why everything was kept so well. The text updates were nice especially since a strong storm was coming in. The laundry room and bathrooms were kept very nice.

Best KOA we've ever been too! The view is spectacular! Very quiet...except when the train that comes by (but we love the sound of train so it doesn't bother us.) The campsites are very well maintained, spacious, and the level. I would recommend this KOA to everyone!

Every time we stay at New Bern Koa, it just seems to get better and better, the staff is so responsive, the manger Robin has been the best additional to an already great place. We can not wait to return to see what new things they have inshore.

The entire campground was clean, well groomed, and showed to be given much attention. The bathhouses were very clean and nice. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and went the extra mile to help you with ANYTHING! We have already recommended the New Bern KOA to others.

Had a great stay this past week, the campsite was clean and the staff was very helpful and answered all of our questions. The views of the river were beautiful and we weathered the tornado warnings and high winds Friday night.

The KOA is well maintained, with a beautiful location on the river. Sites, while close to each other, have enough space for your picnic table and fire with each guest's rig. The reception is staffed professionally. The grounds are clean. I did not use the bath house but really enjoyed the dog parks with our pet.
