We decided to rent a deluxe cabin this time because we brought a family member who had never rented. The deluxe cabins are wonderful and cozy! It was supposed to be brutal rain and wind but we lucked out and just got a little rain and mostly wind. There is so much to do at this KOA location and everyone is so friendly. Looking forward to booking the next visit.

Everyone was great at check in. The cabin was clean enough. We did take issue with the lack of attention the bathrooms recieved. Staying 2 nights and none of the back baths(did not use the bathrooms near the check in) were cleaned in that time period. The trash was over flowing. There was feces on toilet seat and it stayed there from Wednesday to Friday. Toilet paper ran our by Friday too.

The staff is very friendly. The camp is so peaceful. We come here every year and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to camp.

We had a blast at the campground! Everything was nice and the views are amazing. We wish the ponds were a little bit more catching for the kiddos but it was a great time! The Halloween bash was so much fun! Definitely going to come back next year!

Enjoyed our camping cabin and walks to the river. The toilet/shower building was convenient and clean. The whole campground is very well maintained. This was an excellent location for the WRCC annual picnic. Thanks for accommodating us!

We picked the New Bern campground because of the availability of fishing within the campground and we will return because of the very friendly and helpful staff, the clean facilities, how near it is to surrounding beaches and New Bern itself. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are already planning a return trip with family next summer!

The staff was very friendly. The grounds were well kept. The site was beautiful. However, the cabin furniture was dusty, the shower curtain was moldy, and the hair dryer smoked and burned when it was turned on. It also made a strange noise, so I unplugged it. Made me wonder about fire safety in a wood cabin with only one entrance/exit and no sprinklers.

The employees were courteous and made us feel as though they really were happy we were there. They answered every question we had. The place was clean and maintained extremely well. The washroom was clean and there was no trash scattered around. The washers and dryers were clean and appeared looked unused.

Terrible from the start. After we checked in & found our cabin which was a foot from the pond. My sister could not see the ground with it being so dark, walked directly into the pond. It myself & neighbors to go in and pull her out. That experience was very traumatic for her and my 7 yr old niece. There should be lighting AND a rope barrier around the lake so people can see. Will never return.

My family and I went to stay at New Bern KOA for a birthday celebration. The deluxe cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The staff was very friendly and helped us out when we needed more trash bags and a sponge. We will be going there again!

Wonderful place! Nice and clean and a lot of activities for the kids!! We stayed in the deluxe cabin and the only complaint is how loud the train is at night!! Although this isn’t KOAs fault!

A pleasant, restful stay! What views! We fished, walked and sat in swings…the staff was friendly and the campground was beautiful and festive! We’ll be back!!!

The Minute you walk in and are greeted like family you believe the amazing reviews. Everyone is so helpful. We purchased 2 bundles of wood and William delivered them right away the next day he pumped up a basketball for our 8-year-old. Blown away with the amenities and the incredible upkeep. Then we arrived at our cabin and this is nicer than my last 10 Marriott hotel rooms, AWESOME!!!

It was awesome, very clean with friendly staff. Lots of things to do, my grand children had a lot of fun. Definitely would come here even with the 2hr 30 min drive.

Certain staff were helpful and friendly. Office staff were good. They complied with my vacillating about staying an additional night, though I changed my mind a few times and eventually opted for a late checkout time. One of housekeepers was not helpful, but discourteous. I would like to have in writing at checkout events planned for my stay.

It was our first time visiting New Bern and the KOA there. There are so much to do in New Bern I didn't think that there are a lot to do in the site. But while staying, my daughter played in the jumping pad and playground. Played with sand all day and made friends. We were able to see her from our cabin. We also did kayak and fishing which were the highlight of our trip. We will be back.

It was my first time at a KOA and it was a great experience! Check in with Becky was very quick, easy and she was helpful with any questions we had. Me and my husband stayed in a deluxe cabin with our puppy and it was small and cozy but enough for us! Grounds were very clean and well kept. Campground was very quite and peaceful and the river views were breathtaking! We will definitely be back!

Loved the view of the river from our front porch, the grounds have such a beautiful water view, would come back again to have more time to take advantage of the kayaking available! The cabin was so comfortable and pet friendly, the reason we didn’t stay in a hotel, we will be back next time we have business in the area!
