Our office & store hours are 8 AM-7 PM daily, with the exception of some holidays. We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We do continue to rent grills & fire pits, as well as sell ice & firewood, after our office/store closes, up until 10 PM. Just call our office at 504-467-1792 to get assistance with that from our night attendant. It will be charged to your site & delivered to you.
Purchase your shuttle tickets in the office. Our shuttle is cash only. We do have an ATM available for all of your cash needs. The cost is $15 a person, for a round trip ticket. It is $10 for a one way ticket (on the afternoon shuttle), as our guys don't do night time pick-ups, so you would have to Uber back. That is going to be your cheapest & easiest way to the French Quarter. It is most times cheaper than all day parking down there (in an area where it's ok to leave your vehicle unattended all day) & always cheaper than an Uber ride back & forth. Also, many times in season, there are constant special events that make parking difficult, more expensive and/or non existent in an area that is secure.
Our shuttles leave promptly, so you must be at take-off/pick-up points early, to load into the shuttle & leave on time. We do not wait. We do have different times of the year that we offer more than one shuttle, during big events. Those usually include Sugar Bowl, Super Bowl, Saints games & Jazz Fest.
OUR SHUTTLE IS FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE, limited seating, (14 passenger van) that requires advance sign up & a ticket purchase. We suggest purchasing your tickets for the days you would like to utilize it, as soon as getting settled into your site, after checking in. We do not suggest waiting to purchase tickets until the last minute, or morning of, as it usually sells out. We can not guarantee seats will be available. We do not allow our shuttle service to be booked into advance of checking into our park, as we can't hold seats in case of cancellations/no shows. That is not fair to the guests currently at our park.
***As much as we would love to run additional shuttles, we have tried this in the past & it has not worked out. Unfortunately, many guests want to go at different times all throughout the day. We are not a cab service & thus can not just run any time someone wants to go. It unfortunately is not cost effective. We have settled on the times that work best for the bulk of our guests & the tours that they most often take.
Changing the dates on your reservation, prior to coming, also falls into the same category as a cancellation. We will allow you to change your dates, as long as it is before the cancellation window closes (7 or 14 days prior to your reservation). Allowing date changes after the cancellation window closes, will fall under our discretion, but isn't guaranteed. We do not allow dates to be changed for special events. Our no refunds past a certain date rule applies for those.
Please see other general info item about early check-outs & our refund policy for those.
Welcome to The Big Easy! We hope you feel at home with us & that you love New Orleans as much as we do! It is our hope to show you how amazing & rich in history, food, music & culture that Nola is!
Our story is one of both a love of KOA and a love of New Orleans. Our journey with KOA began with a stay for our honeymoon in 2000. We fell in love with KOA then. We first became customers, then moved into their work camper program, became managers & are now owners! Our love for KOA & a work camper position, brought us to New Orleans. We have never left! We fell in love with this amazing city! As what we call here in NOLA, transplants, we have immersed ourselves in New Orleans culture. There is no better city for food, music, history, celebrations, festivals, parades & more! This city is alive with history, legends & a mixing bowl of culture! It gets in your soul!!! Our great joy is that we get to help you see the beauty in our city, to help you experience its magic, to help you fall in love with it, as we have! Our park is an extension of our home & we welcome you to it & to a city that doesn't get the nickname "The Big Easy", for nothing! Our heartfelt hope is that you feel at home here & that you discover the reason that they say, "You can live in any city in America, but New Orleans is the only city that lives in you." (Chris Rose).WELCOME,
Michael & Deborah
That doesn't mean this area has to always be empty. When you start reviewing camping options, your history will display here to help compare sites and find the best stay. You will be able to share your stay information with friends or family and save it for a later time if you have a KOA Account.
