Place was a mess, no heat in bath rooms (no warning on website) no hot water in sinks. Multiple projects on going but materials left scattered about. They should have closed down to do their work. When I reserve at a KOA I expect a standard this place met no standards. Things laying about and employees just drive on by. No pride evident in this place.

The owners and the workers are so kind and friendly and the seasonal people are just as great. The bathrooms are incredibly clean and so is the campground itself. They are working to improve it and add more recreational things to it, all the time. I feel like family every time I stay there and plan on many more stays in the coming year. I highly recommend this campground.

This was our third stay at Niantic since July. This KOA meets our needs: near an Interstate, electricity and a hot shower. A big plus to this KOA is their shuttle van. On two of our three stays, the staff was very helpful giving us rides to dinner and a nearby store. The staff does a great job making your stay exceed expectations. Looking forward to next year and another stay.

We were met with such friendliness and could not have asked for anything more. The work they are doing on the park is incredible. Thank you all so much. Can not wait to see you all again.

Great location in the CT coastline. Just minutes away from several beach towns and right across the street from Rocky Neck State Park with easy trail access. The staff there was super with helpful info. Sites don’t have full hookups but allow for grey drainage & staff will pump out black tank after 4 days. My only complaint was the condition of rear bathhouse which was below expectations.

The campground is planing major changes during the off season. It recently became a KOA and needs some upgrades. The only negative thing I can say it does not have sewer hook up only a dump station. The staff is very friendly. We will be anxious to return to see the improvements.

The staff was the most friendly of any campground we have ever stayed. With the planned upgrades it looks like KOA-Niantic will be a great place to visit in the future. Our only negatives are how close the sites are to each other and KOA’s high daily cost for staying. Once Niantic gets its pool and other upgrades it may draw us back for another visit. But we fear the daily cost will be more.

Enjoyable experience staying at this KOA. Facilities are CLEAN and staff are super friendly, especially John. He's the reason why I'm a repeat customer. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Love this KOA! Upon check in, I was treated to samples from KOA partners KIND and Tastey bites which after a long day was a welcomed (delicious) dinner for us. I was out of dish soap and although the store was out the staff member was quick to give me enough to get thru the weekend. We also got a beer run shuttle service from the legendary Bubbles and fire wood delivery. Welcoming and hospitable.

The sites were nice, the area could use a good cleanup, lots of old equipment and piles of dirt around. I read where they were going to do some extensive upgrades so that could be the reason for the equipment and dirt. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

With continued work, this will be a nice KOA. The staff was very welcoming. The shower curtains were extremely moldy and I didn’t feel at all comfortable with the cleanliness of the bathhouses. It was disconcerting to see gray water hoses laying around for people to dump wherever. All in all, I wish this owner and staff the best but I will probably not stay here again.

Park was nice. There was only grey water dump at our site aven though I thought it was a full hook up. It might be worth mentioning that many people (husband/wife teams for example) prefer to back and guide each other. The man that insisted on backing us in was nice enough but kept criticizing my husband's backing techniques. His directions were confusing and my husband couldn't hear him.

Had a great time at the Campground. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is evident a lot of work is going into this camp. New Mini golf and Pool coming in soon, We are hoping it will be upgraded to a holiday soon.

This has now been a staple to open and close out the camping season at Niantic KOA, and why not when they make the choice so easy from there help setting up, to take downs, the time taken out for the kids activities, to the excitement you hear from the owners as they personally walk through daily to check on your day and let you know of the new upcoming renovations.

Had a fun and wonderful time. Owners and workers are so nice, helpful and friendly. I feel like family there. I will continue to return time after time. It just keeps getting better. I highly recommend this KOA.

We really enjoyed having a walking path from the RV park down to the beach. It was a great stay. I hate the housing development next door to the park, otherwise this stay was perfect. Great location, had no idea Connecticut had so much nature. We enjoyed the beach, even in fall. It was easy to find the park and navigate around it. We had a huge backyard for our back-in spot.

AMAZING! We had so much fun. The staff was so nice and genuine. They treated all families and all kids like VIP's! They had activities that kept the kids entertained all weekend. Highly recommend. Will go back.

I will start by saying that everyone was very nice. This campground was not what we expected. Looking back I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews. It seems as though they are trying to do some upgrades. However there are trailers that seem to have been abandoned, and some even look like people are living in them. This place needs more work and we will probably not be returning.

Awful the owners rude , their help creepy and rude I stayed one night was booked for 23 days left after day 1 got a refund and found a pleasant place to stay … The park was shabby to say the least , dogs not on their leashes screaming kids all day . I had a family member come visit who was Harassed by this person they called bubbles because she didn’t understand she had a sign in , he was ru

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The "other" side of the story. You were upset that your sister had to register and admitted to sneaking her in to all other campgrounds by opening their security gate. On top of that you knew guests could not bring a dog and she did anyway. Why would you stay 1 day if park & staff are as described.

Did not receive a friendly greeting by the young woman; just asked what I needed. Told her I had a reservation, checked my of and said he will show the site; she looked angry. Next day I went back for an appointment for a pump out for $25. The woman was very polite. The man only pumped the black water, I questioned him he was quite rude and said "what do you want from me" I was not very happy.

On the road for 14 hours, stuck in traffic by several accidents, tired and needed a place to stay. They were very accommodating. We arrived at 9:45 pm, and were met by "Bubbles" in his golf cart. He took us to our site and made sure we were hooked up and all was good. We would have had a problem trying to find the site in the dark on our own. Checked out in the morning, all was good.

I was a seasonal for 17 years. Sad to say I had to leave cause the owners said my camper was too old and in their words "worth nothin". Even though I never gave them cause to think so, I was told i wasnt trustworthy. I am cleared out. Sad to have it end on a sour note, hope for the best for all you who camp there, and hope the owners learn a little loyalty .

Our side- You did not camp for 2 straight years and indicated you were not going to in the future. We were always clear that seasonals with older trailers were welcome to remain until they were done camping and would need to remove camper when that day arrived. We wish you well

We were here for 3 nights and it was wonderful. The staff is helpful and friendly, Bubbles is a hoot and everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The shuttle into town was such a nice treat, The laundry facilities were clean as were the bathrooms. I would recommend this campground wholeheartedly.

We have come her for a month, two years in a row. We love it here. It has a homey feel and has many great activities and restaurants in the area. The campgrounds themselves are decent but the service and homey feeling is what keeps us comings back. The staff are super friendly. They are constantly working, but always spare a moment to wave, stop for a quick joke, or just see how things are going. The owner, John, helped us out greatly this year. At the start of our stay we encountered a massive amount of rain, to the point of us being unhappy with our site (the dogs would track mud into the camper and we were cleaning the floors every few hours.) I asked John if we could move to a different site and he proposed that he lay down gravel to build us a patio and stop us from tracking mud into our camper. The campsite has some strict rules about driving speed and noise, but that's what makes us enjoy it here. We can walk our dogs without the fear of someone speeding down the roadway, and we can watch late night TV by our fire without hearing a large party. Essentially, be a respectful neighbor and you'll have a great time here. We're thinking about booking this as a seasonal so that we can spend more of our summer down at this KOA!

We have been traveling all month, staying at mostly KOA campgrounds. This is the nicest place, with the best experience we have had so far. Several times a day they let kids, and adults, hop aboard a fire truck and do a little tour of the grounds. We also had a free shuttle to local places. That is a huge relief, especially when you don't have a car with you and Uber doesn't come to your area. I hope to visit soon.
