The site had no grass or fire pit. The whole campground appears run down and not maintained. Needs landscape attention. The bathrooms were filthy: mildew on shower curtain and shower had a brownish film. One toilet had poop on it from Saturday and was still there Monday when I left. They said the spot I wanted couldn’t be occupied then let somebody else stay there. Worst campground I’ve been t

Read the last sentence before worst and you will understand the rest of the review. You can not expect to make a reservation on Wednesday and pick any site you want in a Northeast campground in August, I hope this made the camper feel better. Stay safe

Had a water issue and it was fixed immediately. Really nice people, clean and always make you feel welcome. A great place to stay. I’ll be there again and again.

The kids had an excellent time. Fell in love with Dennis. They said this is our new spot to camp as long as we get the site next to Dennis

From the start, the campground was so nice and I can’t say enough about the staff. They are willing to help in any way they can. Called for wood and it was delivered right to the site. John was so helpful. It was so quiet at night too. I would stay there again.

All of the staff were so friendly and extremely helpful! Bubbles was great!! There was so many fun activities for the kids that made the stay extra special! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This campground can use a little more maintenance and beautification. It also wasn’t as family friendly as some of the others. Some of the guests used profanity and talked about drinking loudly.

A sewer smell on occasion, but one of the nicest KOAs we’ve been to! Great staff and the grounds are beautiful!

This is my favorite KOA, I always enjoy my time here. Meets and exceeds my expectations. Great location with the beach and a state park across the street.

excellent location, keeping in mind that the Covid-19, has our choices and plans limited, we stayed several nights, the campsite felt lonely, and neglected. The Roads were prominently uneven w/rocks and dirt, the bathrooms were not cleaned often, the upkeep of the grass on the campground wasn't lawned. I mentioned it to Sally and she addressed the next day, and someone mowed the lawn.

Thank you for staying with us. Mowing in the summer is always a challenge on busy sites. When you requested yours mowed we did it right away and with a battery mower to reduce noise. Your rating was harsh but respect your opinion and wish you well Be safe

Always clean, due to Covid, all employees wore masks which we appreciated, very quiet campground, the quiet hours are strictly enforced. We will be back.

A great place for kids. Noisy. Novelty fire engine rides complete with blaring siren and incessant honking of the horn a number of times a day adds to the noise of the utility vehicles circling the grounds..... The mile hike to the beach is very nice. We could see that the families with children spent time at the water. Since we’ve no children it’s not a place we’ll return to. Nice sta

Staying at a KOA on a Saturday night in the summer will be busy. The kids love the fire truck and we consider all guests when and where we use the horns. The golf carts circling the grounds are delivering Ice and firewood as well as escorting guests to their sites. Be safe

This was our second trip to Niantic KOA and we had a blast! There are always activities for the kids and the staff is very nice and friendly. We are interested in seasonal site options for the 2021 season. We will be back again for sure!

Couldn’t be happier with our first stay at KOA Niantic. Everyone is super friendly. The staff is absolutely amazing. Bob, John and Bubbles went above and beyond to make sure we were having a good time! We will definitely be back! Oh, and the completely level sites are a plus too!

Our first time camping , the park is clean the bathrooms are old but they r kept very clean . They had activities for the kids we had a great time tye dying . Definitely coming back!

We had a great stay. The campground was quiet and wooded. It had a lot of wonderful amenities. The beach pass was great and a newspaper added so much. We were there because we lost power for almost a week. We have a camper van so we thought we would go to Niantic which is 25 minutes from home. We will certainly be back!!!

Our campsite was fantastic. Water and electric, great space in the corner since we had a larger number of people. Every single part of the booking process was a nightmare, and every call with the KOA left me frustrated and wishing I had booked another camp site. I booked 3 weeks out, and in the last week my reservation was changed and cancelled twice. KOA will always be my last choice.

We are under strict rules with Covid and every call from you was adding people to your reservation, we explained the group was to big and cancelled with full refund. Then you scaled back your "event" and rebooked. Being honest in the beginning would have avoided alot of what you called nightmare

It seems that the grounds are being transformed and are trending in a better, more “spruced up” direction. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and definitely were the highlight of our stay.

The clamping tent was beautiful. Staffed with very friendly people. The power went out on our second day. So it was a little warm. Yet the staff was helpful. We ended up leaving a day early due to state parks closed and the heat!

Very enjoyable 10 day stay at this campground. Office staff are Very friendly and helpful. Kids activities were so much fun for our daughter as well. Enjoyed the guys on golf carts as well, very friendly and always said hello as they drove by. Bubbles was a kid favorite with his pirate coin scavenger hunt. Thanks everyone and see you next year! (hopefully the pool will be in!)

We loved our stay. I would gladly stay there with kids (and recommend it to all my friends with kids), although it's too crowded to feel like you're "getting away" in the woods. But the staff were wonderful, the campgrounds/bathrooms were really clean, and it was near the ocean and a lot of pretty areas. Thank you!

The site we stayed at stated we had electric hook-up, we arrived and that wasn't the case. Our site was supposed to be wooded and it was not. Although we thought the bathrooms were tidy upon arrival they were untouched throughout our stay, despite COVID. Enjoyed the luxury of getting ice/firewood delivered.

I apologize for the lack of electric at your site. At the time of your booking that site did have electric and I failed to move you when it was broken by a contractor. Next time please say something to the staff member who escorted you to your site. Again I apologize as we dropped the ball here.

We were here for 3 nights and it was wonderful. The staff is helpful and friendly, Bubbles is a hoot and everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The shuttle into town was such a nice treat, The laundry facilities were clean as were the bathrooms. I would recommend this campground wholeheartedly.

We have come her for a month, two years in a row. We love it here. It has a homey feel and has many great activities and restaurants in the area. The campgrounds themselves are decent but the service and homey feeling is what keeps us comings back. The staff are super friendly. They are constantly working, but always spare a moment to wave, stop for a quick joke, or just see how things are going. The owner, John, helped us out greatly this year. At the start of our stay we encountered a massive amount of rain, to the point of us being unhappy with our site (the dogs would track mud into the camper and we were cleaning the floors every few hours.) I asked John if we could move to a different site and he proposed that he lay down gravel to build us a patio and stop us from tracking mud into our camper. The campsite has some strict rules about driving speed and noise, but that's what makes us enjoy it here. We can walk our dogs without the fear of someone speeding down the roadway, and we can watch late night TV by our fire without hearing a large party. Essentially, be a respectful neighbor and you'll have a great time here. We're thinking about booking this as a seasonal so that we can spend more of our summer down at this KOA!

We have been traveling all month, staying at mostly KOA campgrounds. This is the nicest place, with the best experience we have had so far. Several times a day they let kids, and adults, hop aboard a fire truck and do a little tour of the grounds. We also had a free shuttle to local places. That is a huge relief, especially when you don't have a car with you and Uber doesn't come to your area. I hope to visit soon.
