I am seasonal at this KOA - improvements being made continuously, pleasant and helpful staff, tons of things to do and see, great restaurants. Don't hesitate on making this a destination soon.

One of the friendliest campsites we've visitied. Upon 5:30 arrival, the children's Hollaween parade (in costume) was about to begin. By the time we were setup we were able to provide treates the to children. Then our 1 yr. old puppy got loose and we had multi other campers run to our aide with instant success. Beyond this, the staff very helpful including a staff member to drain our black tank

We just made a quick stop over in our SUV camper. Showers were warm and the campfire was good! It was a good place for us to prepare for our very long day in NYC. Also, Bubbles was an awesome host, incredibly nice, energetic, and an overall Grade A guy. Thanks for making the short stay one of the best on our trip!

The best, most friendly people I have ever met at a campground. Owners are so nice and the workers very helpful and friendly. It is always improving and I can’t wait to see the new things they will be adding over the winter. I highly recommend this campground. Sites are nice, bathrooms clean, safe and friendly atmosphere, fun activities, shuttle services. What more could you ask for?

Disgusting bath facilities: dead bugs, spiders everywhere. The bathrooms were not cleaned during our stay. Campsites were filthy with tree (acorn) litter. No grass at campsites. Dump station was filthy. I can't believe this campground was chosen to be a KOA. In the future, I will be much more careful about my choices!

So many activities for the kids to participate in.

Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant.

Rude staff. Tried to assign us to "wooded" site and we reserved a "grassy" site and then acted like they didn't even know the difference. Grass was certainly sparse and more mud/sand than grass. Wouldn't stay there again.

Great people and very relaxing

The campground seemed to have quite a few permanent sites. Was very surprised and disappointed that gray water was to be emptied on the grouhat is the way it was at the site we were in. Hard to believe that emptying gray water directly on the campsite is healthy. We did not do it. We waited until we dumped. We won't stay there again because of that. We assumed there would be a drainpipe for gray.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

As we explained grey water is dumped into a stone galley 5 ft deep at each site. There is a pipe at each that you put the garden hose connected to the trailer adapter which we provide.

We loved the Campground overall, but the sites are close together(as in most parks), but our biggest complaint is the construction site right behind our campsite! They are currently building condos which look like they may be close to finished, but what a racket. We even heard machinery on the weekends. When the construction is complete, I'd say this campground would be perfect.

This was our very first ever stay at a KOA. We absolutely loved it except for the actual site-#72 It was very narrow and with a rock wall on one side and a hill on the other, we had a terrible time pulling out to leave. We ripped our right bottom leveller off when it got stuck on the hill pulling out. We couldn’t back up or we would have scraped the side on rocks. We now have to replace it.

Very nice, spacious pull thru sites. We really enjoyed sitting by the fire in the swing. ALL staff were so kind and welcoming! We will be back.

We got to the campground for a 1:00 PM check-in. We called the office and got no answer. We saw someone in the office so we went in. The staff said they try to do a two hour lunch, but aren’t able to very often. Customer service was awful, like they were doing you a favor. Campground very poorly lit; streets hard to see when dark. There were one way and do not enter signs that were badly located

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You arrived at 12:30 for your 1 pm check in while we were out walking our dogs and were upset the sign on the door said closed from 11 to 1 for maintenance. You were upset you had to wait until 12:43 to be checked in and escorted to your site.

restrooms were not cleaned and trash not emptied since our stay.showers cold.charged the premium site price and had to pay to pump out tanks- no sewer.not up to koa standards.the owners should stay at herkimer,ny koa to see how it's really done!they are the best we have ever stayed at.

Roads need updating. I know the campground is a work in process. We had local friends come by to pick us up for dinner. Women in reception was rude and was demanding they pay just to pick us up. Her words: "does not matter if you are her for 3 hours or 3 minutes". Luckily, my husband was waiting there on his bike and diffused things.

We just were not prepared for how cold it would be in the glamping tent so we just got to cold and didn’t sleep well so we left earlier than we planned

excellent location. Near the USCG Academy, New London, and the Navy Submarine Base. The facilities were excellent and easy to use.

Super pet friendly and lots of changes, lookin good!

Office service was perfect. People assisting with getting into site were very helpful. After reading newsletter about coming improvements I’m sure rating will go to 5 stars.

The office staff was LESS than friendly when we checked in.Almost as if we were an inconvenience. Requested a wooded back-in lot. We backed up to a vinyl fence with new construction (townhomes?) on the other side. Three trees on our site. Construction work (roofing?) on that Saturday. It would have been nice if this were noted on their website. Not equivalent to any other KOA we've stayed at.

We stayed 3 nights. We We in some of the nicer pull-through sights. I liked those. The others were average size but back in. I say this because I came in at dark. The folks running things were great. They continue to make improvements.

Very accessable camp from the Interestate. Quick and easy check-in. John guided us to a very level sight and spotted where we needed no side-to-side leveling blocks. He connected the camp's gray water hose because an on-sight black water dump station would need to be used. The camp's leaking spliter valve was quickly replaced by John within the hour. TV Cable and Wi-fi worked great.

$77.00/nt is costly for no black water sewer dump at any spot. Our back in spot was in full sun the entire time.

It's a nice, quiet campground

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They made us feel right at home. The accommodations were well maintained and clean. Would love to stay there again.

Large gravel sites. Easy on and off I95. Beautiful state park minutes away. Niantic and coastal villages close by. A little blacktop at entrance to office would go a long way to improve the campground. The poop container at the dog park could be emptied more often.

We had a great time. Cant wait for the new amenities for 2022!

On this stay I fell in love with a new site that I was put on even though all their sites are wonderful this one was just perfect for me. I had the pleasure to meet Mike and Ashley they welcome us in just like family. I look so forward working out my stay with them. They both are Very friendly and kept me up on all the new and exciting changes coming in 2022. I give all their staff 100 percent

We were here for 3 nights and it was wonderful. The staff is helpful and friendly, Bubbles is a hoot and everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The shuttle into town was such a nice treat, The laundry facilities were clean as were the bathrooms. I would recommend this campground wholeheartedly.

We have come her for a month, two years in a row. We love it here. It has a homey feel and has many great activities and restaurants in the area. The campgrounds themselves are decent but the service and homey feeling is what keeps us comings back. The staff are super friendly. They are constantly working, but always spare a moment to wave, stop for a quick joke, or just see how things are going. The owner, John, helped us out greatly this year. At the start of our stay we encountered a massive amount of rain, to the point of us being unhappy with our site (the dogs would track mud into the camper and we were cleaning the floors every few hours.) I asked John if we could move to a different site and he proposed that he lay down gravel to build us a patio and stop us from tracking mud into our camper. The campsite has some strict rules about driving speed and noise, but that's what makes us enjoy it here. We can walk our dogs without the fear of someone speeding down the roadway, and we can watch late night TV by our fire without hearing a large party. Essentially, be a respectful neighbor and you'll have a great time here. We're thinking about booking this as a seasonal so that we can spend more of our summer down at this KOA!

We have been traveling all month, staying at mostly KOA campgrounds. This is the nicest place, with the best experience we have had so far. Several times a day they let kids, and adults, hop aboard a fire truck and do a little tour of the grounds. We also had a free shuttle to local places. That is a huge relief, especially when you don't have a car with you and Uber doesn't come to your area. I hope to visit soon.
