Our first time camping , the park is clean the bathrooms are old but they r kept very clean . They had activities for the kids we had a great time tye dying . Definitely coming back!

Our campsite was fantastic. Water and electric, great space in the corner since we had a larger number of people. Every single part of the booking process was a nightmare, and every call with the KOA left me frustrated and wishing I had booked another camp site. I booked 3 weeks out, and in the last week my reservation was changed and cancelled twice. KOA will always be my last choice.

We are under strict rules with Covid and every call from you was adding people to your reservation, we explained the group was to big and cancelled with full refund. Then you scaled back your "event" and rebooked. Being honest in the beginning would have avoided alot of what you called nightmare

It seems that the grounds are being transformed and are trending in a better, more “spruced up” direction. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and definitely were the highlight of our stay.

We loved our stay. I would gladly stay there with kids (and recommend it to all my friends with kids), although it's too crowded to feel like you're "getting away" in the woods. But the staff were wonderful, the campgrounds/bathrooms were really clean, and it was near the ocean and a lot of pretty areas. Thank you!

The site we stayed at stated we had electric hook-up, we arrived and that wasn't the case. Our site was supposed to be wooded and it was not. Although we thought the bathrooms were tidy upon arrival they were untouched throughout our stay, despite COVID. Enjoyed the luxury of getting ice/firewood delivered.

I apologize for the lack of electric at your site. At the time of your booking that site did have electric and I failed to move you when it was broken by a contractor. Next time please say something to the staff member who escorted you to your site. Again I apologize as we dropped the ball here.

The campground was nice, with some great treats for the kids; fire truck rides, cotton candy, gold coin hunts, which could be redeemed for treats at the store. The staff about the grounds seemed relatively unconcerned with wearing masks though and the bathrooms were not particularly clean, which you might typically expect from any campground but was really distressing in Covid times.

I love this campground. I like how the staff buzzes around on their golf carts making sure everything is ok. They are very friendly and willing to aid in any way. Can’t wait till next year!

It is a baby KOA, Sites could use a bit more groundkeeping but they are well spaced... Didn't appreciate that the tent sites were right next to the trash. Also one of the ladies was kinda rude in the office in the morning but everyone else was super nice....

Great location, just off the highway, near the coast and super close to Rocky Neck State Park. Wonderful, fun and friendly staff

Our spot was perfectly shaded and big enough so that when we discovered out tent was too big for the sand pad we could put it on the ground nearby instead. Bathrooms were clean and nearby as well and all the staff was incredibly friendly. Our favorite part was the beach passes. Being an out of stater it would have cost us $40+ each day, but their passes saved us money and stress. We will be back!

Thank you for staying with us and the nice words. Although we only got a fraction of beach passes that we normally do due to COVID, we have been able to keep up with demand. Our town beaches are amazing, always clean, never crowded, and as you noted, the beach pass alone saved you $40.

We had a very nice stay. The only downside was being too close to a glamping site. The lights on the front are very bright at night.

This site was so nice and the staffs were so friendly. There are a lot of activities we can keep the social distance. My kids loved coin collecting activity. The only complaint thing was the beach pass. When we reached the beach with beach pass, the beach was already full. I thought we would need the pass more early time.

Dirty bathrooms :( nobody was cleaning there for 3 days, stinky, bit very nice and helpful stuff!!! Boring Sunday, nothing to do for kids :(( I’ve been in better places with KOA.

All employees were extremely friendly, helpful. 5 tent sites are nice but the rest of the campground is kinda creepy....Lot's of RVs that look like they've been there for many years. Bathrooms were clean

Disappointed because I booked a wooded tent site and that is NOT what I received. We were right on the entrance road and heard all the road noise. We didn't say anything because it was a holiday weekend but I wish I had because it was clear it was not fully booked. Also, we had no gravel pad to put our tent on as described when making the reservation. I just wish I received the site I booked.

I apologize for not living up to your standards. I did research your reservation and you are right you reserved a wooded site with water and electric. Unfortunately that week we were pounded with rain and we decided to close the section of sites you were booked in and moved you to a comparable site.

Super friendly staff, but the showers were left unattended. They were not even cleaned once July4-5th. And I did go to other locations on the site as instructed by the staff. The women I’m our party complained of feces being smeared on toilet seats and left overnight and during the day. I do not believe that a public restroom can be cleaned only once a day (10pm-11pm was posted) but not observed

Staying at Niantic KOA is like visiting family. We were treated so well, guests were too. That is so important. It’s an atmosphere of positivity and friendliness. We were never chastised for anything. Neighbors helped us put up our tent in the rain. Staff came by so many times to ask if we needed anything. Wood and ice is delivered right to you! The place is clean and landscape is great!

“Ocean across the street” was misleading. Far walk for flip flops and swimwear. Can have your pet stay at the campsite, but nowhere to keep your pet if you do go to the beach. Our campsite was “rustic” and just built the day before. We were charged full rate for a muddy lot. Would have been a better stay in my own yard.

I apologize for not meeting your expectations. I will review with the staff about making it clear that although we are across the street from the beach it is a 20 min walk on marked trails. We do have passes for local beaches.

We will definitely be back. The campsites were excellent and we really liked the fire pit, grill, the tent platform and bench plus great open space. We did not explore the walking trails, but spent time at the Rocky Neck State Park nearby, which was excellent. The staff are super helpful and they spread coins all over the campground for the kids to find, which helped fill some of the down time.

This was my first time experiencing tent camping. I tell you, it was an awesome experience. I went with my wife and my kids. It was an unforgettable experience for them too. This place was immaculate, really clean bathroom. The staffs were amazing. Very friendly and attentive with their guests. John, Bubbles and Bod all were really nice to me and my kids. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful campground with friendly accommodating staff. Very well kept and clean bathrooms. Speed limit and quiet hours are strictly enforced which makes all the difference in a peaceful camping experience. Hiking across the street and leads to a nice beach for fishing. Overall highly impressed and would definitely return for another enjoyable weekend getaway!

We had a nice time but things could have been better. An incident happened when a visitor tried to visit us but we weren't aware that visitors had to stop and sign in(there was no stop sign or sign to say this). A couple of employees got pissy and we weren't allowed visitors while everyone else were. We felt like they were keeping and eye on us and didn't put us in a grassy tent area.

The no visitor policy is due to Covid 19 and is clearly stated on the website, your confirmation email, the email you recieved on the day of arrival and on the waiver you signed upon arrival. There is a sign on the gate instructing all visitors to stop at office and register. You also showed up with 3 more people and a pet not mentioned

Group site had large patches of long grass and generally not level. Fire pit was right next to a tree and hard to sit around. No fire rings, unlike adjacent sites. Bathrooms were clean, but the site was too small for a group site and not maintained. Good if you have a camper/RV, not good for tents.

There is only one fire pit on the site as its a group site and we assume the group sits around a single fire at night. I disagree on the site size as its quite large and left open for each group to set up as they wish. Be safe

It is so a good campground. I think it would be good to promote that we can catch blue crabs near the campground (Connecticut river). It was so fun.

our stay was great location was perfect. I rented two sites and when i tried to get beach passes they will only give me one pass, the staff explanation was only one pass per site. Which I clearly did not understand considering I was paying for two sites. This issue really bother me do to the fact that we had two vehicles. If it was not for this issue my stay would have been great.

I apologize for the misunderstanding. With COVID, the town was not going to allow us to purchase passes this year but then allowed us to purchase a very limited amount. With 2 sites, you should have been allowed the 2nd pass. Have a great summer and stay safe.

The staff are very attentive to their guests regardless of stay type (seasonal or transient). This was actually my second stay in 2 weeks at Niantic KOA and both experiences were identical! Bathrooms and sites are kept clean and regardless of what we forgot to bring they had something we could borrow to make our stay more comfortable!

Everything was great, only issue we had was John seemed to like to come into the bathrooms late night when guest were showering. He did this to us 3 times over our stay. Walked right in and tried conversations with us! Only thing that made us uncomfortable. Other than that everything was great!

We went tent camping, and had a wonderful experience. If I had go criticize some of the campsites are too close together however we stayed a couple nights and had no issues and even no campers next to us one of the nights . Would definitely go back!

We were here for 3 nights and it was wonderful. The staff is helpful and friendly, Bubbles is a hoot and everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The shuttle into town was such a nice treat, The laundry facilities were clean as were the bathrooms. I would recommend this campground wholeheartedly.

We have come her for a month, two years in a row. We love it here. It has a homey feel and has many great activities and restaurants in the area. The campgrounds themselves are decent but the service and homey feeling is what keeps us comings back. The staff are super friendly. They are constantly working, but always spare a moment to wave, stop for a quick joke, or just see how things are going. The owner, John, helped us out greatly this year. At the start of our stay we encountered a massive amount of rain, to the point of us being unhappy with our site (the dogs would track mud into the camper and we were cleaning the floors every few hours.) I asked John if we could move to a different site and he proposed that he lay down gravel to build us a patio and stop us from tracking mud into our camper. The campsite has some strict rules about driving speed and noise, but that's what makes us enjoy it here. We can walk our dogs without the fear of someone speeding down the roadway, and we can watch late night TV by our fire without hearing a large party. Essentially, be a respectful neighbor and you'll have a great time here. We're thinking about booking this as a seasonal so that we can spend more of our summer down at this KOA!

We have been traveling all month, staying at mostly KOA campgrounds. This is the nicest place, with the best experience we have had so far. Several times a day they let kids, and adults, hop aboard a fire truck and do a little tour of the grounds. We also had a free shuttle to local places. That is a huge relief, especially when you don't have a car with you and Uber doesn't come to your area. I hope to visit soon.
