I had a bad tire on a Friday night. Every tire shop in the area was closed for the night. The owners told me who to call. It was still expensive,but I got the tire changed that night and was on the road Saturday morning.

What a fantastic campsite this is! Nestled in the trees on the shore of Blue Lake in Iowa, this campsite was clean and Incredibly quiet! The staff and owners were very friendly. The amenities were awesome and Incredibly clean as well. We hope to be able to stay here again on our Journeys.

Not sure what you are talking about we have campsites right on the lake, docks on the lake, fishing from our shore and have paddle boat rentals??

Onawa/Blue Lake KOA is beautiful and located off (but close) to) I-29. Pull thru sites are very long with tall trees as screening between sights. Sunset over Blue Lake was spectacular!!! Great place for family weekend or over-night stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend.

We were completely surprised by the beauty of this campground! We just stayed one night on the way home from the Mount Rushmore area. We weren't expecting anything special but we were completely amazed with this place next to a little lake and a great big corn field! We actually plan to come back and explore the area!

This was just a place to stop for the night as we passed thru. They where celebrating their bussiness aneversory,50 I belevie. They had a band aqnd meal and invited us to attend. What a good suprise.

This my favorite campground of all. The folks there are very accommodating. Angela and Kelly do a great job keeping it comfortable and clean. The lake is gorgeous and the town of Onawa is clean and unhurried. It was a very peaceful and relaxing time.

We have stayed here several times and always enjoy our time there. Love the lake and plenty of shade trees to relax under. Easy spots to back in to. Showers and bathrooms well kept.

Kind of cramped spaces. Very small dog park not good for large dogs Overall nice campground but very buggy. Wear lots of bug spray

Enjoyed the overnight as we passed thru. The WI-FI was not good. Connected then was shut off after 15 minutes. Otherwise enjoyed walking by the lake and swimming on the pool.

Well staffed. Happy people who like to help. Mentioned I needed propane. Before I had the camper setup the man was back with full cylinder and installed it. Clean restrooms and well treed for shade. Clone this camp and put it everywhere.

The campground was well maintained and the staff were friendly. After a very long day on the road it might have been nice for bigger and more clear signs. Our GPS put us in the neighborhood 1/2 mile before the actual entrance.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time in July 2021. We have been back multiple times since! I was worried after reading some reviews as people were complaining about strict rules. We didn't find it strict at all. Everyone we dealt with went out of their way to be helpful. I tend to ask a lot of questions but never once was I shut down or felt like I was a bother. The lake is beautiful and reminds us of much longer trips we used to take to Minnesota. Campground very well cared for, cleanest restrooms we have ever seen/used at a KOA. The pool was kept perfectly clean and was so enjoyable. The RV spaces are very well spaced out, beautiful shade trees for my hubby who can't do the sun! Both sets of my kids and grandkids came out and had the best time! New dog park for my furkids and wonderful new playground for kids. This was an amazing place, and we hope to be going here for years. Thank you.

Typically, we don't stay in KOAs: we camp in the back of our pickup, with two mattresses in the bed and we don't need hookups or electricity. But since Lewis and Clark State Park campground on the other side of the lake books up very early for the summer season, we ended up reserving a tent site at this KOA. Our stay was pleasant enough. The site was right on the lake, with other simple campers (a family in a tent trailer) right next to us. No problems with rowdy behavior or noise. Restroom facilities (toilets, sinks, showers) were clean and well maintained. There were lots of huge RVs in the other parts of the campground, crammed in very close together. We were glad to have reserved a tent site.
