The setting was beautiful and our site was awesome. Only thing that marred our stay was the group that settled in across the driveway. They were partying until after midnight and were quite loud. Would definitely stay here again though.

All of the staff member were fantastic. Restrooms were very clean. Campsite was well kept. Would camp there again.

Owner was helpful and attended to our needs upon our arrival. Tent site had beautiful views of lake and the location was well positioned to highway. Cost was amazing and amenities were perfect for what we required.

Our stay was ok, just wish there was a beach or bigger dock area for the kids like on the other side of the lake.

Clean and quite, lots where gravel but level. Far enough off interstate that there was no traffic noise, easy to get to.

We were just passing through coming to MN from Lake Tahoe. Great spot. We would definitely stay there again and hopefully for more than one night. So many KOA’s are along a busy highway’s and I have a hard time sleeping. This was so quiet. I’d have to rate it the best we stayed at.

Need rock added to sites to elimate some of the mud

We have had plenty of rain, including during your stay. Rock is hard to come by because of the flooding in the area. Sorry can't control mother nature.

Too noisy when the permanent residents get together and the space were located was a low spot and should have been maintained with gravel so campers are not walking in mud

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Unfortunately everyone in are area has experienced major flooding. Gravel pits are sold out of gravel, quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am and are enforced, if you have issues please address them while you are onsite so your camping experience is better.

The campground was very well kept and the shower facilities were excellent. 'The staff were helpful. Many areas for birding close by.

It's nice when nobody is there but if was full would be very tight camp spots are to close together I wouldn't stay on a busy time of year Also the office /store hours where very limited 2 hours in the morning 2 hours in the afternoon so if we needed anything quick had to drive to town

Thank you for your stay, if you wanted a larger spot you could have upgraded to larger site. The office is open limited hours until Memorial Day and are posted.

It was our first time staying at a KOA, but we will be back because our experience was GREAT! The campground was clean, quiet, and the bathrooms were immaculate!! Thank you for the great experience! See you soon!

Enjoyed our stay and our neighbors and the staff are great! Just wish Mother Nature would cooperate even though the sound of the rain on our roof is soothing. Boys had fun fishing. Restrooms/bathhouse was clean.

I love the owners and the beauty of this campground. The lake is so nice to wake up to and it’s perfect for kayaking. I would highly recommend it .

This campground is a little slice of heaven. Shady, quiet and quaint are just a few words to describe this place. It has a lake adjacent to the campground with great fishing and water activities as well. The owners are super friendly and family oriented, you can tell they take pride in their establishment by the way they take care of their campground and customers. A positive exp 4 our family!

Easy in and out, friendly check-in, campground neat and clean as always. And this time we didn't have to park by a puddle! Not too easy to find a 'dry' spot, after all the continual rain. We come back every October, and will keep on choosing Onawa/Blue Lake.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time in July 2021. We have been back multiple times since! I was worried after reading some reviews as people were complaining about strict rules. We didn't find it strict at all. Everyone we dealt with went out of their way to be helpful. I tend to ask a lot of questions but never once was I shut down or felt like I was a bother. The lake is beautiful and reminds us of much longer trips we used to take to Minnesota. Campground very well cared for, cleanest restrooms we have ever seen/used at a KOA. The pool was kept perfectly clean and was so enjoyable. The RV spaces are very well spaced out, beautiful shade trees for my hubby who can't do the sun! Both sets of my kids and grandkids came out and had the best time! New dog park for my furkids and wonderful new playground for kids. This was an amazing place, and we hope to be going here for years. Thank you.

Typically, we don't stay in KOAs: we camp in the back of our pickup, with two mattresses in the bed and we don't need hookups or electricity. But since Lewis and Clark State Park campground on the other side of the lake books up very early for the summer season, we ended up reserving a tent site at this KOA. Our stay was pleasant enough. The site was right on the lake, with other simple campers (a family in a tent trailer) right next to us. No problems with rowdy behavior or noise. Restroom facilities (toilets, sinks, showers) were clean and well maintained. There were lots of huge RVs in the other parts of the campground, crammed in very close together. We were glad to have reserved a tent site.
