Beautiful campground right on the lake. Unfortunately it was raining and cold when we stayed overnight, so it was muddy and windy and we couldn’t take advantage of the area. Would love to visit again when the weather is nice.

Will give them another try one of these days - isn't really fair to rate them because they had just experienced a plumbing issue restricting water usage. Otherwise is a lovely park and beautiful lake, and the staff was very helpful.

Just stayed overnight, weekday (passing thru), so very quiet. Sites on lake were awesome! Staff was helpful. Showers, rest rooms very clean!

Loved it. Great people, nice campground. Has a very relaxing stay. Just wish something could be done about bugs. But then, its next to a nice lake, and bugs are just part of the experience, I guess, Especially in summer. If anyone knows how to exterminate gnats and mosquitos to the point of extinction, go for it!

Great location on the lake shady, peaceful and pet friendly. Their are historical attractions, a casino, and beautiful drives through the back roads of Loess Hills. A great little town, Onawa, just a few miles away has plenty of food, drink, and fun. We will be returning!

Campground was nice. We were disappointed at the location we were camped.....we could not get any satellite signal for all the trees. Next time we might try for a space closer to the edge of the field next to the grounds to the South.

The location and lake are excellent! I thought the facilities and activities especially for children were little lagging. Put more seating around the playground too, there is only one table.

Thank you for your stay over our 1/2 priced weekend. We have a playground, basketball court, horse shoes, fun cycles, paddles boats, a lake and a pool, not sure what we were lacking for a campground??

I was very surprised to have to pay $18 to have my 3 children who were camping across the lake visit me. I think $6 a Day is excessive. Otherwise mycabin was adorable and I loved sitting in the swing on the porch.

Thank you for your stay over our 1/2 priced weekend. We did accommodate you by allowing you to check in 4 hours early. The visitor fee is outlined on our site maps and online, $3 per person per day. You did not pay $6 a day per person, your site did not have any visitors registered to your site just one person registered in a cabin???

Was just an overnight stop for us. Sites were tight and it was buggy due to the lake.

Bugs and camping go together. There were larger sites available during your stay you could have chosen one for a few more dollars.

Absolutely gorgeous setting. The people running the place are probably one of the nicest people we have met. Kept the entire area immaculate. Restrooms and showers extremely clean.

Lady at counter was extremely rude. I would stay again the guy was very friendly but the lady could definitely work on her customer service skills. The outside light was super bright also.

We came back for a second time on our way home and planned to stay two days. The sites this time were close together and ours had no grass or gravel and was mud. The second day we observed after the holiday campers left over half the campground was occupied by full timers on the lake and we were put in the back row...we didn’t stay the second day. We forfeited one day of cost....sad

You stayed in the same area as you did the first time, just 4 spots over, your view and location we identical. We have had plenty of rain before after and during the holiday. There is grass and plenty of gravel. Plenty of spots on the lake are available to be rented, we do not have hardily any full timers on the lake. It was a holiday weekend and people stayed for longer than 1 or 2 days.

We had a great time and enjoyed the facilities and activities provided. The staff was also very accomodating for our camping group...we appreciate their flexibility and help making our trip even more enjoyable!

We stopped here in our way to Montana. LOVED it! Clean bathrooms, neatly manicures grounds and right on the lake. Highly recommend!

Great lots on the lake. Silly $3.00 entrance fee for visitors. Plenty of room for visitor parking at each campsite. Too many seasonal permanent residents.

Great level and fhu sites. Satellite tv and many local channels available. Beautiful lake. Cheap and good eats at casino not far away definitely stay again if in area.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time in July 2021. We have been back multiple times since! I was worried after reading some reviews as people were complaining about strict rules. We didn't find it strict at all. Everyone we dealt with went out of their way to be helpful. I tend to ask a lot of questions but never once was I shut down or felt like I was a bother. The lake is beautiful and reminds us of much longer trips we used to take to Minnesota. Campground very well cared for, cleanest restrooms we have ever seen/used at a KOA. The pool was kept perfectly clean and was so enjoyable. The RV spaces are very well spaced out, beautiful shade trees for my hubby who can't do the sun! Both sets of my kids and grandkids came out and had the best time! New dog park for my furkids and wonderful new playground for kids. This was an amazing place, and we hope to be going here for years. Thank you.

Typically, we don't stay in KOAs: we camp in the back of our pickup, with two mattresses in the bed and we don't need hookups or electricity. But since Lewis and Clark State Park campground on the other side of the lake books up very early for the summer season, we ended up reserving a tent site at this KOA. Our stay was pleasant enough. The site was right on the lake, with other simple campers (a family in a tent trailer) right next to us. No problems with rowdy behavior or noise. Restroom facilities (toilets, sinks, showers) were clean and well maintained. There were lots of huge RVs in the other parts of the campground, crammed in very close together. We were glad to have reserved a tent site.
