The KOA itself was of decent quality, a little smaller than we are used to. Although, it was either the female owner or manager that was rude to my husband and children. One of the staff even came up to my husband and apologized for the woman's approach and explained she's always like this. Yikes! If we are ever in the area again, we will stay elsewhere. Kindness goes a long way.

Beautiful views of the lake from the campground. Lots of trees and shade and the sites are well maintained. The staff is very friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

Very nice place - ticked all the boxes. Close to the highway, but far enough to be quiet. Nice, shaded sites with lake views. Clean bathrooms. A great stopover on the way through the area.

sewer hookups are too close to next site. The next site's were right at the bottom of our steps out our RV.

The young people there were a good representative and knowledgeable about KOA. Great stay, as we could actually sit outside without the mosquitos carrying us off and our spot was right on the lake.

Large KOA. Situated next to a lake. Has water frontage sites but most appear to be seasonal campers as there is a “lot of stuff” around their sites, messy looking. Our site was gravel. Level. Some green space between sites. Shade trees. Pleasant staff. Park overall clean. Pool & laundry. Park did lose power for approx 2+ hours. ? Cause. Thankful it was a cool evening and AC not needed. We arrived Friday for a weekend stay. We enjoyed the swimming pool that night. Hook up was easy and the facility was clean. It’s a very quiet campground, dog friendly, and the restrooms and shower area were very clean. The town of Onawa had a power outage Saturday night, so we had no power for two hours but this was not the fault of the campground. We may do. We’ll be back again next year!

This place is awesome. The grounds and facilities are well maintained and clean. The sites are close but we had room for our slides and awning. Lake access was good. Plus, there are improvements like new playground, dog park and basketball court being installed!

Late arrival, envelope left in box with site number at front office. No electricity. Was to tired from driving to continue in to find another campground in the area so parked RV in campground. Was not able to prepare a meal or freshen up. Electricity was restored sometime early am. Street lights were on so not sure if electric company outage or campground outage.

this was a beautiful and quiet koa. the staff was great an very accommadating when we had to change our schedule. Their staff was extremly helpful and customer friendly. I would come back in a heartbeat. Even with the full time rvs the park ensured their park stayed clean and peaceful.

Quick & friendly check in. Friendly employees checking periodically for safety/questions etc. CLEAN RESTROOMS!!! well kept facilities. No kids with us so we didn't use it but very nice new looking swingset. really nice grill/firering at some of the tent (no water no electric) sites. I would go back for sure!

Just an overnight, but very convenient to the interstate. Cabin very comfortable. Nice to have the AC in the heat. Very friendly staff. Nice hot showers.

Beautiful country setting on a lake. Grounds were clean, as were the bathrooms. Nice people too. Stayed there twice within a two week period.

We were disgusted when we learned that our visitors had paid $3 to park. And to top it off, then they had to walk across the park to our camp.

Great place. Park was clean and well cared for. workers/host very friendly and accommodating. Check in was easy and helpful. Only thing we didn't care for was the 11:00 check out.

As always my stay was very pleasant. This is my favorite campground among many others. Angela and Kelly were terrific as always. So was all the other help. And the town is old home time.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time in July 2021. We have been back multiple times since! I was worried after reading some reviews as people were complaining about strict rules. We didn't find it strict at all. Everyone we dealt with went out of their way to be helpful. I tend to ask a lot of questions but never once was I shut down or felt like I was a bother. The lake is beautiful and reminds us of much longer trips we used to take to Minnesota. Campground very well cared for, cleanest restrooms we have ever seen/used at a KOA. The pool was kept perfectly clean and was so enjoyable. The RV spaces are very well spaced out, beautiful shade trees for my hubby who can't do the sun! Both sets of my kids and grandkids came out and had the best time! New dog park for my furkids and wonderful new playground for kids. This was an amazing place, and we hope to be going here for years. Thank you.

Typically, we don't stay in KOAs: we camp in the back of our pickup, with two mattresses in the bed and we don't need hookups or electricity. But since Lewis and Clark State Park campground on the other side of the lake books up very early for the summer season, we ended up reserving a tent site at this KOA. Our stay was pleasant enough. The site was right on the lake, with other simple campers (a family in a tent trailer) right next to us. No problems with rowdy behavior or noise. Restroom facilities (toilets, sinks, showers) were clean and well maintained. There were lots of huge RVs in the other parts of the campground, crammed in very close together. We were glad to have reserved a tent site.
