We stayed just for a night to break up a long drive. We reserved an extra long site so we did not have to drop the trailer, but the elec/water was at the front of the site and sewer was in the middle. Most amenities are really for kids under 10. It would be nice if campers could fish in the lake as part of their amenities. Bathrooms were clean and very usable.

Campground itself was fine...I found the overall attitude of the staff to be less than caring. While in the store I felt I was inconveniencing the personal by asking a question. Not very welcoming to say the least. Maybe they were all just having a series of bad days?

Owners were friendly and helpful. Showers and restrooms were very clean. Beautiful location and grounds well maintained. Highly recommend!!

Great Campground, we stay here every year on our way to Sturgis and back home home again. very friendly staff, very accommodating, the place is clean and well stocked and great service. very nice. Gary

This is the most peaceful place we have been. It is remotely tucked in and I could just feel the peace and relaxation coming over me. My only concern is there is not enough lake front camping.

Location was ok. Park was very clean and well-managed. Found it disappointing that some of the rules being enforced were quite silly: we had our 65-year old grandmother asked to get off a swing on the playground while she was watching the grandkids because “they playground is for children 12 and under” or something similar.

Very clean nice park, had some worries about hollowed out termite eaten large tree next to our RV because of a sever storm approaching with reported 65 mph wind gusts.

The park was clean, aesthetically pleasing and spacious. We checked in promptly and escorted to our site. This appears to be a family owned campground and everyone worked together. As with most campground, there appeared to be seasonal/long-term campers...HOWEVER....Their sites were beautifully maintained. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Just an overnight quick stop. Located next to a lake, it would be a great place to hang out at the lake and fish, boat, or just hang out. Bathrooms very clean. If in the area, would be a great vacation spot.

This was a lovely campground next to the water & beautifully shaded. The pool, which our friends enjoyed using, was very nice as was the playground. My only regret was that we weren’t staying longer. This was a pit stop on the way home from a long trip. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful spot! We didn’t have to leave our pad for a beautiful view of the lake. Most of the spots had clear view of the water. It was quiet, restful, and very pleasant weekend.

Nice camp ground. Owners and staff need to work hard on putting guests before them selfs and there family. Not very nice people. Not good for small kids.

The campground is very nice. The staff on the other hand is not very nice/friendly. They have to many unposted/unwritten rules. As they will tell you it’s not allowed and make you stop. It’s their campground so they can run off as many camper as they like. Probably my one and only visit.

We stayed here just one night on 7/25/21 as we returned home to MD from The Black Hills in SD. Staff was very friendly and helpful in getting us parked and we enjoyed the pool and the view of the lake. We were on Site #13 which appeared to be in an older section of the campground because the sites and hookups here are VERY close together. Glad that we had quiet neighbors... :-)

Convenient to highway and the Loess Hills National Scenic Byway. Site space is not too bad. Lots of seasonals at this KOA. But during weekdays it’s not that crowded.

My husband and I stayed here for the first time in July 2021. We have been back multiple times since! I was worried after reading some reviews as people were complaining about strict rules. We didn't find it strict at all. Everyone we dealt with went out of their way to be helpful. I tend to ask a lot of questions but never once was I shut down or felt like I was a bother. The lake is beautiful and reminds us of much longer trips we used to take to Minnesota. Campground very well cared for, cleanest restrooms we have ever seen/used at a KOA. The pool was kept perfectly clean and was so enjoyable. The RV spaces are very well spaced out, beautiful shade trees for my hubby who can't do the sun! Both sets of my kids and grandkids came out and had the best time! New dog park for my furkids and wonderful new playground for kids. This was an amazing place, and we hope to be going here for years. Thank you.

Typically, we don't stay in KOAs: we camp in the back of our pickup, with two mattresses in the bed and we don't need hookups or electricity. But since Lewis and Clark State Park campground on the other side of the lake books up very early for the summer season, we ended up reserving a tent site at this KOA. Our stay was pleasant enough. The site was right on the lake, with other simple campers (a family in a tent trailer) right next to us. No problems with rowdy behavior or noise. Restroom facilities (toilets, sinks, showers) were clean and well maintained. There were lots of huge RVs in the other parts of the campground, crammed in very close together. We were glad to have reserved a tent site.
