Campground Reviews

I like the convenience close to the dunes. The bummer is I booked a cabin online and when I arrived I was told I reserved the santa fe caboose. The online registration showed cabin pictures, print out said cabin, email confirmation said cabin. Plus it is really expensive, double, compared to cabin prices

Poor layout and not for anyone that is not staying there for the dune buggy experience. No WiFi no showers no sewer dump way over priced. Would not recommend staying there.

Always a great time here

The guys who run the kids around on the rides are awesome friendly and safe, the maintenance guy went above tracing us down at the new camp site to return an item we left in the last- some of the female workers can use a break to maybe lighten their mood or take some pointers from the chill guys- lol

Found the accommodations to be easy to get through, trees provided shade, the activities die the kids were great. Wish I had more time to check out the zip line. See you next year!

This was our families 2nd camping venture at Oregon Dunes Koa. The staff are the friendliness and sites are all above average. However, they are way too expensive! Not sure why they are priced that high. Oregon state parks are 1/2 of what they charge. I’d like to stay there again but may need a second job...

Unique
We had such a fun stay. Steve is a great camp host and we enjoyed the different activities the KOA has to offer for the family. This was not our first stay and it won't be our last.

Great time as always! Nice and dirty! Dang COVID though messed up the ice cream socials and chuck wagon! Oh well next year! Also the rides provided to the kids (big and little) were enjoyed by all. Kudos to Steve; the driver while we were there.

While we had a good time, the rate we paid for the Grand Lodge is much to high. The cabin was not real clean. There was still hair in the shower. WiFi is spotty, at best, and your cable service does give a clear picture on the TV. The fridge does not stay cold & the microwave does not cook well. We have been visiting for 16 years, and this may be the last time.

We love staying at this KOA. Great access to the sand dunes and very friendly people.

Dirty, grounds awful, there is so many issues to list. We know it is the Dunes area but no money or care is going back in to the up keep. Pandemic and masks, everyone had one hanging around their neck but not on their face. Service was awful, internet is a joke, didnt get shower tokens, and store was on banker hours so we left before it opened without a shower. NEVERgoing back REFUND?

Get rid of CNN bad news.

The gravel around the campground was really dusty! The road to the dunes was really hard on the sand tires/ paddles!!

This review has been removed by KOA due to profanity.

Most amazing staff. Everything was as expected.

I was not impressed with the covid 19 health standards during this pandemic. It was posted everywhere to wear a mask to enter the store, restrooms, laundry room, bounce pad but no one was wearing one and it was not enforced to. Felt like they didn't care about the safety of others and that they didn't want to upset anyone and hurt their business. The campsite was fun for the kids.

Excellent location. Campground was pretty quiet for having so many off road vehicles. Store came in handy and everyone was very friendly.

Nice spots that were able to fit our 42ft trailer. We were traveling south from Salem and made a last minute reservation. Looks like a very fun place if you have dune buggies and kids to ride. Very family friendly. For us, it was just a stop along the way. It was very loud by people @ 6:00am so that was a bummer, but if I was going to hit the dunes I would be up that early too.

Nice place for your family to stay and ride to the dunes!

Not a normal KOA by anymeans. It is where dune machines stay. The front office was a little up tight. Like they don't like there job. Not to friendly. The dude driving the little RZR around giving rides in the train was very friendly. I'd probably stay there again due to there not being much in the area with full hook ups and dune access. Make a sand road for atv's in the park to the current sand

Good full hookup sites for access to the Dunes.Very busy campground. but great for what your there for. Riding!!!!!!! Bathrooms were clean and the staff was great. Would go again.

Just be prepared for copious amounts of dirt, sand and noise. If you're not the dune climbing off roading person or family I would not suggest but if it's your bag go for it! The sites are gravel but nice. Most families are respectful and they have tons of fun!

We were visiting the Oregon dunes for the first time and even though we are not ATV or dune buggy owners your campground was so diverse with the activities that it did not matter. It was so enjoyable and we can not wait to bring our family next time. Although we have a camper our grandsons will go crazy over staying in 1 of you lodging options. Thanks for the memories, see you soon...

It was a quick stay but we really enjoyed how easy it was to pull into our site. The young adults I had with me really liked the jump pad, tetherball, and cornhole... we will be back next Saturday!!!

Great koa only if you are into riding on the sand dunes.

This camp is very dusty due to all the Razor and quad activity going to the dunes. The camp brochure states quiet time at 10pm, yet the quad riders aren’t coming back from the dunes until 10-11pm. The campers next to us were very loud until after midnight and no one asked them to quiet down. I had to ask them to shut off their very bright lights. We also heard gun shots 2X there. The staff are g

The staff in the office could have been a little more friendlier, we are very careful with our speed through the park and try to be respectful of others but one of your staff chased us down and proceeded to yell at us for not abiding by the speed limit. There are numerous other riders that pass us so I know we are going slow. Your staff member could have handled it a better way.

I was dissapointed in the shower situation. While I understand the concerns due to Covid, I feel the showers should be open to schedule earlier than 9:30. By the time my family is done showering it would be almost an hour later, we go there to ride ATV's, you can fire your bike up at 8, but can't shower until 9:30...dissapointing.

Loved the koa and the ORV focus. The cabin (75) was fun for my daugher, her friend and I and they loved the bunk beds. Would have been nice to have another mirror in the cabin as with three girls it was tough to get ready.

Assigned worst site. Terribly dusty, dirty. Not allowed to use showers. Was told they would have to clean after each use. I paid for use of showers, I expected to use them. Look at the covered wagons. The white tops are brown. Pathetic maintenance. Will never go there again.

Very friendly staff and family oriented. It's not just camping, they also have cabins and lodges. One of the biggest and best KOAs I've ever been to and directly on the dunes!! Unfortunately, they can't find enough employees to do a lot of the fun stuff they normally do like the zip line, paddle boats, ice cream socials, ax throwing contests, etc etc. Of course these are more summertime things and hopefully by then they will have enough employees to make it even more fun. But a very nicely kept property with people always around to help if needed.
