Campground Reviews

Easy access to dunes. Spacious for RV parking. A guy named West was super helpful. My only suggestion for improvement is longer store hours.

This is our third year staying here and every time we find a better site. The first two years we stayed next to the wreck hall and really liked that space as it was quiet and we could close the fence at night. This year we were in sites 59-60-61 (three of us) and it worked out great. Plenty of room for the rigs and toy trailers. Next year sites 64-65-66/

Very nice park, clean and with all the ATV it was still quite.

Too many ATVS, for us. The sites themselves were fine. Showers and bathrooms were good.

Our campsite was nice. Gravel is nice for keeping sand out of your RV. October was a great time to visit!

no train, but train sign was up. went to do laundry and was told they were closing early because there wasn't enough help. charged for a child, didn't know koa did that. a great place for people with "toys". lots of trees.

I love staying here however the constant driving around the park by little kids in their miniature atv’s needs to stop ! 3 little girls under 6 years old I would guess , almost ran over my friends dog . There was no supervision…make this a more stringent rule please. No driving quads/ atvs around park period . Except of course to go to dunes from site …

Kids were roaring around the campground on ATVs,UTVs with no parental supervision. off leash dogs were wandering all over campground.

We have a nice time when we stay. All though it rained most of the time. Rain didn’t delay us. The only problem was the group next to us couldn’t keep it down after 10:30 pm.

We love being able to stay there since it’s so close to the sad dunes and ocean. The staff did an amazing job considering the shortage of workers, just like everywhere else right now. Campground is clean and has plenty of amenities

Off roading is not our thing. Stayed for one night due to travel distance. Should not advertise as Coos Bay. Mosquitos are bad.

It was fine. B back again.

We liked the access to the dunes. And all the stuff you have for the kids. The quietness at the campground was great, when you get done riding all day. You want to relax and that’s what you can do when you get back to camp. We will definitely be back

Great set up being so close to the dunes and ATV rentals! Just wish there were more tent sites so there could be more options in picking spots!

Noisy

I did not like having to pay $10 so I could connect a second device to your mostly none functioning internet. Even with my WeBoost device I had no cell service otherwise I wouldn't have needed Wi-Fi. Very disappointed I had to pay for something that didn't function. The park itself was just fine except for a few that didn't observe quiet time hours and parents that let their kids race around.

No escort to site no trash pickup. For more than 70$ a night you expect more. I was pleased with the quietness of the park and my site worked fine. But I really resent a Koa gravel site for such an exorbitant price. Most of the sites are not even level either.

This is a fantastic place to stay if you’re looking to ride straight out of camp to the dunes. Nice area for the kids to play with a play ground and inflatable jump house. Steve’s ATV rental is right next to the campground. So any friends/family without sand toys have the option to rent if they want. We had no issues at all. Repeat camper for 10+ years.

I’ve been camping here since 1997. The new owners are doing a good job but there seems to be a lot more camp riding and inconsiderate people then there use to be when it was not tolerated. I will continue to stay here as long as the management keeps the Laos in check.

Great place to spend time with a family and the direct dune access is wonderful. Wish they had the staff to keep all aspects of the camp available ie cable zip lines, ax throw. But we found plenty other things to do since we have our own utv. Seemed short staffed over all but the one that were working do a great job and keep things going for a campground.

Our stay was very good nice and quite. The one thing we are realizing is there is very nice consistency in the KOA family. The biggest issue for us going forward is access to WiFi. Coupons are a joke and talking with others it is there issue also. The one thing that KOA can improve on is WiFi access.

This KOA is dusty and noisy. If you're into riding your ATVs this a place for you. If you want quiet serenity it is not the place for you. We wanted to relax after traveling. The ATVs were revving until10PM or later at night and going again by 7AM in the morning. Another low point is having to use a token to get an 8 minute shower. Other than that the staff was nice and we had a good spot to park.

The first 3 nights where amazing I love being able to ride from the camp site to the dunes. The last night though was extremely frustrating two family's where to lazy to take there kids down to the play area instead they raced though the camp ground making laps after laps. More than once they slid out into people camp sites words where exchanged. The parents said kids where just being kids

Nice park. Not into sand dune buggies so was dusty. Noise was tolerable. No noise at night. This is a great place for dune riders.

First time here. Loved it! Our boys stayed in your cabins which were awesome! Fun family atmosphere and the front desk girl was great!

Previous owners kept the grounds store and restrooms much cleaner. Trash was picked up multiple times a day, how ever the recycle bin over flowed for 3 days before it was emptied.

This is the perfect place to see the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, especially if you have your own dune buggy or want to rent one!

The resort had all the amenities that we like. Our complaint is that the staff was not friendly. I don’t think we saw a smile on anyone the whole time we were there. We found this highly unusual.

Very noisy with all the dune buggies but they make that clear on their website. However, it looks like a fun place for the kids.

This place is the spot. Can't beat it for riding in the dunes.

Very friendly staff and family oriented. It's not just camping, they also have cabins and lodges. One of the biggest and best KOAs I've ever been to and directly on the dunes!! Unfortunately, they can't find enough employees to do a lot of the fun stuff they normally do like the zip line, paddle boats, ice cream socials, ax throwing contests, etc etc. Of course these are more summertime things and hopefully by then they will have enough employees to make it even more fun. But a very nicely kept property with people always around to help if needed.
